Rest in peace Bruce Lee, Robert Alan Wall legends never die
Anything with Bruce Lee is an automatic thumbs up!
This scene is very realistic. He punches him in the face at light speed and everyone jumps to their feet to applaud. That's EXACTLY what I would do
Bruce was ahead of time no one fought like him
Bob Wall was really taking hits!
True . They were filming him at high speed because he was so fast . At the film's regular film speed , Master Lee's hands and feet would literally disappear and reappear .
The best part is you could tell that the extras were genuinely impressed by Bruce Lee's abilities
@@texasgent4694 They really were. That's why I said that. How could you resist applauding such a superhuman feat
Boards...don't hit back. Probably one of the best pieces of advice ever given.
Exactly 👆😊
@simple yep, clumsy Carpenter's disagree
Lol actors also don't really hit back, do they? 😅
mezmee
Was it still good when it was said by the villain in bloodsport
Legend Bruce Lee. A true pioneer, so ahead of his time.
And still today..............
if he lived today he would be teaching us all new things, even at 82 years old.
Why was he ahead of his time? His time was,, when it was,, and he was there when he was supposed to be. And gone when his time was over. Don't try to be so special.
Lies again? American Education Big Love
@@terminalogicalinexactitude4561 are you kidding? Or just not a fan
RIP Bruce Lee and Bob Wall.
When did bob wall pass away
Way ahead of his time. He was literally the only martial artist at the time with the philosophy that "the best style is no style" which is what we call mixed martial art today
💯💯💯
The "Man with scar", is Robert Wall.
He was a Grandmaster in Tang Soo Do, also trained in Jeet June Do,Shotokan & Jiu jitsu& good friend of Bruce Lee & Chuck Norris irl.
He past away earlier this year.
Also, the famous " boards don't hit back "- line, refers to Bruce Lee's believe that if you want to proper train martial arts, you should always train by doing sparring against other fighters.
Hitting a board & practicing Katas or forms alone, doesn't prepare you for fighting an opponent.
Bruce Lee was influenced by Mas Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin Karate, who was teaching the same principle.
RIP Mr. Wall.
Thanks for the info man! I wish to meet them all in heaven one day!
Robert (Bob) Wall also believed that Patterns, Katas and Forms were good only for learning the basics. To get good in combat there was only one way, sparring.
Any training boxing,MMA any compact sport you should spar with someone maybe even better then you.
Man ! You don't even know the actor's name, or the character's name!🙄
2:13 The guy doesn't even have time to raise his knee
That's how fast bruce lee is
I think that might be a subtle look at a (western style?) karate thing that I used to see a lot of.
I used to spar with so many karate guys who used to do this thing where they'd raise the knee and flick out a quick but powerless kick ( and telegraph the kick in the process) - maybe effective in the kind of tournaments that were prevelant back then where a touch scored you a point - but not what I was trained to do.
They'd get really pissy when I landed heavy kicks on their blocks and learned that you can't tap away a strong kick without it hurting
Chuck Norris trained with Bruce for two full years so yeah he was a badass too.
Lightning speed and terrific strenght made Bruce Lee a formidable fighter!
Bruce Lee was Robert Wall’s mentor. Robert had mad respect for Lee and said as much in an interview.
Yes
The title of this video is ridiculous. The man with the scar on his face 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bob Wall was a 9th degree black belt under Chuck Norris and the co-founder and CEO of a martial arts organization known as World Black Belt Inc. He trained with Chuck Norris who was a professional martial artist
@@G3RM3X617 I
Bob Wall was assigned to be Lee's bodyguard and prevent him from getting into challenge fights. (he failed) He did vividly describe where Bruce beat the crap out of an extra who challenged him. Bob considered him "a very good fighter" Also, that kick that sent Wall flying, believe it or not, was real, how was he still alive after that? :)
What a trooper Bob Wall was. If you know anything about blocking and scene set up you realize how grueling this shoot must have been with the amount of takes and retakes. R.I.P. you magnificent bastard.
The looks on Jim's and John's face says everything
Even after 49 years, I'm still watching this scene.
Bruce Lee's speed and accuracy is spectacular!
He is so fast in this scene that I had to buy the DVD. With a DVD I can hit the pause and go frame by frame to see what Bruce Lee is doing.
I had heard that he used his left hand to pull O'Hara/Bob Wall's hand down as he punched him.
And just to emphasis my point, Bruce Lee is actually slowing down his speed. Just so the camera can catch 'something'. I don't often think of him slowing down his speed for the camera, but when I do it's simply amazing.
Klitschko is better! More Power!
@@KP-hd4do, I believe Anthony Joshua would disagree with you.
@@martyemmons3100 Who ist Joshua? :O)
that technique is Pak - Sao Which translates to "slapping hand" while one hand slightly slaps the opponents wrist therefore trapping it momentarily, the other hand simultaneously back fists the opponent in the face.
Trained extras don't hit back
This particular fight has got to be one of the all time in cinematic history
The Bruce Lee vs Mr. Han fight was the best in cinema history.
Almost 50 years since its release and Enter the Dragon stands the test of time like nothing else in the Genre.
Indeed.
You got that right.. the Beatles, Nirvana, Jack Nicklaus… Michael Jordan… Elvis..the original is always the best.. this fight scene still impresses me to this day. Those simple backfists are still stunning..and to think they actually did have to slow the film down a trifle so that the viewers could catch the motion..
Lee was the man no doubt…..his on-screen presence was electrifying. Not to mention he was the an incredible fighter/martial artist.
I can't recall the movie in which he battled Kareem Abdul Jabber. That was a classic fight, until he killed KAJ that is.
@@williamhaynes4800 game of Death.. it was never finished
One of the very best scenes ever filmed! A punch so fast you can barely see it!
I love this fight scene Bruce Lee was unbeatable
His fighting fury was incomparable. His spirit was indomitable.
Twenty years following his untimely death, Bruce Lee remains the movies
Supreme martial arts star. And Enter the Dragon stand the test of time as the most popular
Martial - arts epic in film history. Enter the Dragon take Lee to the island fortress of a criminal
Warlord, whose martial arts academy covers up opium- smuggling and prostitution activities.
To avenge the Death of the sister, Lee infiltrates the stronghold and enters Han brutal martial- arts
Tournament- a breathtaking visual feast of competitions flushing skills in karate, judo, tai kwan
do, tai chi chuan and hapkido, staged by Lee himself. In action, he moves with speed and confidence of the cat
Swatting at string. Evan in repose, his understated presence is magnetic. The martial - arts enthu-Siam’s
he generated still endures, pleasing legacy. Enter the Dragon is the ultimate Bruce Lee high!
This is the BEST fight scene I have ever seen.
Got to love the guy on the right at 2:35 he falls backwards and doesn’t even get touched lol
He tripped.
@@tonymontana4284 on thin air 🤪🤣
lol
LoL
Harruken!!
That speed was epic and truly magnetic; no inflated camera work there as has been revealed; just true force of nature; that is some training and focus.
Watch the reaction of the extras and understand how truly epic his reaction time was in sequence for all of them to witness; they were very proud indeed!
Look for it; its not part of the script; watch for the guys jumping up clapping...
R.I.P Robert Wall🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Bruce Lee is A Legend Rip 1940-1973
Indeed Rest in peace SIFU Bruce Lee.
Classic Scene!!!!!
"O'Hara's treachery has disgraced us...."
The man was incredible
Absolutely.
Bruce Lee was the first person with Chinese blood to be a protagonist in a Hollywood Movie, He opened the doors for Asians in the USA.
The first Chinese American to open the door in Hollywood to asians because he was a first generation American. He was born in San Francisco, CA. May he R.I.P.
@@thechosenoneforeal in fact his Chinese blood closed doors, Hollywood executives in the 70's didn't want a Chinese-looking Protagonist but Bruce Lee didn't give up.
Those jabs are outstanding, with his feet.
So simple and detailed video, it's now going to help to start working wid softsoft!!
thank you for sharing this with us!!!
The real show stopper is this man 1:33 with this fantastic flowing mane of hair. He aint here to fight just making a beautiful ass cameo 😁
That man was Robert Wall, a great Martial artist who died earlier this year.
I rember the first time I saw this, in '73. It was a Tripple-headder at the drive-in; Fists of Fury, Enter the Dragon, and... Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii. The Sun rose just as the second part of Echoes was finishing. Capped off a great night.
Bruce was The Stud of Kung Fu movies, and probably also in real life
Thank you so much Sensei! You are a blessing!
One of the Best 👍
Lighting fast 🔥 truly a dragon 💪
In July 2021 I met Bob wall at my local movie theater he was in town for a funeral. The theater owner was friends with him through the guy that he came in town for and decided to do a mini event at the theater where he met people. I couldn’t believe how sharp he was for someone his age.
He hit his right arm and broke both arms. What a skill.
Greatest Martial Arts movie,,,,EVER!!!!
3:14 the guy on the right with the mouth open has me laughing 🤣 😆 .
Easily the one scene that laid down the inspiration for Mortal Kombat.
Bob Wall (RIP) he was a legend 👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
Greatest martial arts film of all time
That last hit by Bruce was like "buddy it's either me or him"
Bruce Lee Is Jus Thy Guy Honestly The Best Kung Fu Master Ever Man R.I.P never forgotten Every single Moment his skills are Jus awwnnnn frfr He's Seriously The Master Never Forgetting this man he really meant everything to me I Love him so much sadly died long before some of our parents were even alive tbh Got MAD RESPECT for this man ♥♥😭😭
Watching from Greece.hi everybody.
Nobody messes with the legend.
I have to say I know all this is so key to the story but the flawless acting by the guy who plays Bolo is sensational, his lines are what gives the movie real power.
Bruce lee bir efsana onun gibisi gelmez daha
リーの前にリーなく。
リーの後にリーなし。
時代を超えた天才。
What a legend
Que facinante es ver las Peleas de Bruce Lee de cualquiera de sus Peliculas,le doy Gracias a RUclips por dare esa oportunidad.
Bruce Lee is too fast and too tough.
Indeed.
Dünyanın unutulmaz efsane kung fu krali
Did Bruce have a fight record? No. Did Chuck have a fight record. Hell yes,!!!!!!!
And Chuck said Lee would have beaten him lol
@00:52 When he said "Dah!!" I really felt that
LOL! I don't know how that dude recovered so fast at 1:54. It would have taken me at least 15 minutes to recover from that. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Bruce Lee the best for ever 👍🏻
Bruce was the BADDEST dude that has ever existed
I’ve just noticed a mistake in this movie which I’ve seen more than a hundred times, at 0:38 seconds, he bows to his opponent when earlier in the movie, he says to the young kid, « never leave your eyes off your opponent, even when you bow ». Rest in peace, Bruce. Love ya!
They didn't say go yet.
He was watching his feet :)
Lesson: Don't mess with Bruce Lee. 😄
"The man with the scar on his face" 🤣 the dialogue in the scene literally makes it perfectly clear his name is O'Hara
"Lee vs the man who killed his sister". 🙃
Bob wall the legendary O'Hara
In only 5 moves,he’s won his round.
One of the best scene of all time his speed omg
"O'Hara! "Boards don't hit back!"
Arguably the most entertaining, colorful nd spectacular kung- fu movie ever made.
Bruce Lee a great man
Somewhere in the crowd of extras is a young Jackie Chan waiting to get beat in another scene- this movie never gets old and is still a standard to live up to!
It's aged terribly
“Mr. Lee… ARE YOU READY?” 👏
Thank you so much!
Watch in slow motion and you’ll see how fast Lee is with counters
Always love the sound Wojaaa.. Awuuu.
Bruce Lee spoke the true gospel in this scene when he said " boards don't hit back"...even O'Hara (The late Bob Wall) shook his head in agreement.
Bruce Lee the GOAT
The Bruces Lee Speed is just insane in this movie
EXCELENTE , WAY TO HIT, YOUR OP0NET .& KEEP , YOUR DASTACE 📚👍🙏!!!! ...
Nice 👊😖👊 Thanks for sharing.
A flashback to something he didn’t witness that must be somer power
1:03 most of you guys probably think he does one move .. but its two .. with his left hand he removes the block and with his right hand he strikes and at 1:35 it's actually 4 moves .. 1 faint, strike, remove block, strike
There's an excellent video out there of this scene in slow-motion and yes, Bruce Lee does a feint or fake strike just before the "real" strike. It's way too fast for the human eye to see at normal speed, though.
Woww !! 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow ...
Watching Bruce's lower body movement in those first three blows that he lands. It's honestly hard to tell if he was advancing forward and pivoting on the back leg in some of those or if the momentum of his strike is carrying him forward.. choreographically its incredible, and he appears to assume an adaptation of what started out as a southpaw boxing stance, which would explain the advancing forward and pivot. Either way, love it. I need go back and revisit the sketches on the Tao of Jeet Kune Do, but I'd imagine that stance may well have taken observation from the subtle differences in the footing between boxing and Muay Thai stances.. really also love all the footwork and how he controls the pace of the match, and even as it goes to the death. He comes forward and goes on the offensive without hesitation. Brilliiant.
Bruce's 3rd move on Bob shows the hidden 'Snake' [Snake/Crane] movements in WChun. It's difficult to detect because of Bruce's speed.. but, the opposite hand riding under the extended arm is also called the Wing Chun 'shadow punch'
He uses the push shuffle to move forward, pushing off the rear foot.
!!! Thanks a lot ...☺️☺️
I love this movie I watch it over and over again
Il film più bello,di tutti i tempi. Ed anche il più costoso, nella storia del cinema.
That punch on the face was lightning fast.
FACIAL EXPRESSION AT :14 IS PRICELESS
FLAWLESS VICTORY
🙄😂😂😂
I love Bruce Lee!!!...
Me too he's the best 🙂🙂🙂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Robert Wall once said Bruce lees speed was legendary
That's Brisk baby!
Nice thank you
O'hara lost ! the moment Lee locked eyes on him ! R.I.P. BOTH ❤🙏
Never take your eyes off your opponent, even when you bow.
Bruce did this in this scene.
Maybe to show a false weakness
