To be honest, prior to taking this Max -Shinkansen from Gunma to Niigata, I was skeptical about the comfort. I mean a double storey bullet train? Really? I sat in the upper deck and felt very little movement, it was so stable. Then, I took the Max back down from Niigata to Gunma and this time I sat in the lower deck. Stable too. That year itself, I took more than week to travel from Tokyo to Kanazawa to Toyama to Gunma to Niigata, back down to Gunma and then Karuizawa. What would I do without the E2 and E5? The traffic is just mind-blowing. Kudos to the people working to make things work so seamlessly.

雪がほとんど無いですね～県境付近なのに珍しいです。
まるっきりないですね。ここは雪はそれほどではないんですが、この先の水上駅も雪がほとんど残っておりませんでした
