In the Buttons Team, Nayoung isn't the only asian in the group. If I remember right, Sophia is also an Asian. Either Nayoung was overshadowed by the presence of the other girls or she just doesn't suit that vibe. She might actually suit Demi Lovato's song more than Pussycat Dolls.

@@vvvvvlogs6469 im guessing what he means by "asians" here are east asians. Perhaps culturally and language-wise thats how they (east) asians see themselves, while the other asians are "foreigners". In a sense they (east asians) do have a similar culture and attitude so he might be referring to that. Although I do disagree a lot with what he said.
you might have to be more specific when you say "Asian". There are other girls with Asian backgrounds as well (China, Philippines, Thailand, and India).

Hola, here from Argentina. Interesting point of view, according to kpop culture. I think Hybe and Geffen are trying to do something different or i hope so. Thanks for includding Celeste at your top ten. There are many talents and i see her complicated, but I'm cheering for her.
even if she dosent debut, i think it makes sense for her to make it to the finals, especially because shes really popular

It's going to be a tough competition to select 5or6 out off all these talented girls.. especially when it involves strong fandoms and different countries😅😅.....I only hope those who truly deserve and have the talent, gets to debut and for the rest hoping that we'll be able to see all the girls in a better stage though not together with even more solid skills better than today's.....

메이랑 친분이 있는지 가치님은 메이를 엄청 띄워주던데 탈락됐어요..가치님 댄스보는 안목은 댄스전문가 평가하고 많은 괴리가 있던데 이번엔 일치할까요? 나영은 보컬은 잘하는데 댄스가 어색하고 느끼해요.. 셀레스트는 보컬이 혼자 튀는 느낌에 비주얼도 매력이 없어요..에즈벨라가 이번엔 샤이니했지만 셀레스트와 에즈벨라가 탈락될 것 같은데

우아와 에밀리는 보컬에는 재능이 없지만 춤은 춰요. 아이돌이 아니라 댄서였으면 더 좋았을 것 같아요.
Nayoung is definitely making it into the group. And they can’t eliminate Lara. She’s necessary for the overal balance of the vocals. And Samara is questionable right now but she with the other two make a sound vocal line. Daniela and Megan for the dance line. Manon is visually appealing for the western gaze but I agree that she’s too stiff in both movement and facial expressions. Sophia did well here but she’s still not very eye catching to me. But she has a large fanbase. The only other maybe is Emily and Yoonchae. But I feel Emily has a better chance to make the final line up.

Finally some honest professional review no bias just pure facts
When he says Asians he’s specifically talking about East Asian people who grew up in East Asia. He’s talking about cultural differences in ways of expression, not just their race. Kpop idols born or socialized in the west also have a natural westernized way of performing/moving (Yunjin (lesserafim), blackpink members, etc). So it’s not just about race it’s about culture

I don’t agree 100% with what you have said. I have dedicated so many years to K-pop and let’s face it. It has become boring by the over use of the same approach to a musical discourse.

There are many sexy kpop idols which are koreans but you have to make it seems that they aren't able to be sexy when you could just have said that their age is the biggest factor on why they aren't fulfilling those concepts better. Both, UA and Yoonchae are minors and the other girls are adults... Nayoung was stiff in dancing, the same as Manon; but in my opinion Nayoung nailed her facial expressions and was smh comfortable with it, which could have been better but she did pretty well in my opinion.

정말 가치님 말처럼 인종에따라 성대모양이 다르다면 부모와 다른 언어권에서 태어나거나 자란 사람의 발성은 설명이 안됩니다
모양이 다르다 보다는 유년기에 사용하는 소리에 따라 성대근육의 발달과정이 다르다가 더 좋은 표현일꺼 같습니다
어려서부터 왼팔만 쓰는 아이와 오른팔만 쓰는 아이의 근육과 신경발달의 차이랄까요
Lara slayed I just tan across this on my RUclips feed and bitchhhhhh she caught my eye and her voice is very demi Lovato imagine her raspy vocals with the kpop production she would bring something that no other kpop group has literally that over production hype sound that kpop music has she would take it to another level and her dancing was top notch she have flavor in that without over sexy but her lines made ot secy and she is just 17 she is not even at her level yet could you imagine
