- Another explore of an abandoned hospital in Scotland, this hospital was in great condition as it's only recently been abandoned so no vandalism or anything to it, and we had to drive for hours to get too this, hope you enjoy the footage

It was but got shut down due to being broken, electrics failing cold all the time. It's having work done to it however

As long as there's health hazardous material, Asbestos ⚠️ around, the hospital can not be open, untill the material is removed. This might be the reason, why they had to evacuate. Plus a couple of repairs.
Ok, now the see the damage on the ceiling. It's too quiet, and creepy. Some of the rooms looks like they just got up and left. Everything is not what it seems. The Locker Rooms, tell a lot. These folks left in a hurry...why?

Looks in pretty good condition, wonder when it was abandoned. Hope it doesn’t get vandalised like most empty buildings!
Ive worked in health care for 22 yrs and would LOVE to fix this place up and turn it into a hospice/respite care.
Its còndition is very good.

This building is riddled with asbestos. I Used to work there.
Taking out the asbestos and leaving it for six months, rebuilding could make this a fantastic home for elderly or a school.
Just googled and it seems that there are plans (Feb 2020) in process to refurbish and use as a ~ Veterans' Activity Centre ~ in conjunction with Erskine Charity .
Some equipment that could be used; so wasteful. They can easily remove the asbestos and refurbish the beautiful buildings at least. Thanks for the video.This

It is being repurposed into a veterans centre and community health facility.
That’s not right🤬 a nice building going to waste.... & there’s so many homeless ppl out here in the world. What’s sad is most are the veterans that fought for your country💔 government in Scotland could use this hotel for a homeless shelter or a nursing home for the elderly ppl & ppl with disabilities.
It’s more than likely that this building has been shut down for safety reasons
So true, you would think with all the homeless veterans and just folk that are homeless through no fault of their own, dodgy landlords uncaring families, its sad to see this waste. Thanks Alec .
I'd love to know where in Scotland that is, I love exploring creepy abandoned places. Yet it might not be creepy I know. But still I'd love to explore there

The local councils should be puting these old buildings back into some sort of use.. It's such a waste!! 😡
They don't have the money. That's why it was closed.

tony roberts it wasn’t a mental hospital just a wee local hospital with minor A&E, X-ray, midwives, Labour ward (closed in the 90’s) and in later years old people’s hospice.

Good to see abandoned places but little research into the place your showing would be great as one hospital is the same as another. I like to have a little history behind the it even a before and after video

Have u guys ever been to St. Andrews? The hospital where I was born ( Craigton house) has been abandoned for years but they can’t knock it down coz it’s a listed building. I’m no sure what condition it’s in tho.

You need to talk about places, history and such. All you do is sneak about like thieves and rustle equipment just whispering amongst yourselves. Not very entertaining nor informational.

OH YES !!! There are single rooms ! I am always anxious when I walk into an hospital, even if it's empty, don't you both feel the same ? This hospital seems to be in very good condition anyway, was it abandoned long ago ? When I see the damage caused in the hospitals filmed by the french urbexeurs, even if they not discloses the addresses, we can see some came to all degraded !!!

This is just down the street from my uncles place, it’s an old maternity hospital , shut down for the asbestos, shame, waste of a beautiful building

Personaly I don't know how I would have reacted ! Even If I am not afraid by ghosts too !!! Me too, once had a person who entered my hospital room by mistake but it was a broad day and she saw immediately her mistake and closed promptly the door... If there was asbestos contamination as mentioned then they couldn’t reuse anything because it would be a major health hazard. Asbestos fibres can be quite minute but cause lung and other diseases including cancers.
Great find, Alec & Rheanne. This place looks so clean, much easier for you than some of your recent explores .I hope you get to go back and find the mortuary, that would be really interesting. This is in my home town. As a teenager I had verucca's removed in one of these rooms ...easily one of if not the most painful experience of my life..thankfully they are treated differently nowadays. Shame to see it lying unused.
And here I thought a verucca was just the name of a character in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Empty beds they need 2 go 2 1 of the hospitals in Scotland that r screaming out for beds that's all u hear we have no beds and send u 2 another hospital it's all going down the river. Good 2 c it not vandalised an eye opener enjoyed the explorer.

There are physical beds of course but usually when hospitals say they don’t have beds they mean they can’t safely staff them- there are national guidelines on numbers of staff per patient that is safe.
Physical beds with asbestos contamination problems are not able to just be reused.
