Mine work great with my Redmi phone and Linux laptop. I upgraded from the Redmi Buds 4 Lite, and the sound quality is great - but almost identical to my old pair. Only gripe I have with them is the stupid USB-C port position
same , but for me me redmi buds 4 lite is better , it has a better case desing and a better sound . 6 active sound is low and like a closed sound ( more bass )

how is the connectivity with the macbook ?
I have a m2 macbook air and i didnt have any problem for connection. Its all good.
