Definitely worth the extra cost - not many can get a finish that good in their own workshops without spending hours on it. That walnut was just beautiful.

I'm just putting an order together for NR Burnetts and while there isn't much hardwood in the order I did find your code and is should save me about £6. Have to say I love the place. The delivery costs are cheap, more or less everywhere else charges £30+ for delivery whereas they are £15 for the HU area and free if you buy enough. That was the main thing that attracted me, but then it turns out their prices are pretty good too and their website is great, much better than Lavers who seem totally useless and shift you off to so other national site that doesn't seem to have any wood in Hull. Only been to NR once to get hardwood and the lads who deal with it were great and nothing was too much trouble and if you wanted the plank of wood at the bottom of the pallet they would just restack it all on another pallet to just to get to the one you wanted.
'Wood' like to mention they do have a cutting service for sheet material, however you'll likely need to wait for that depending on how busy they are, last time it took about a week but I'd planned 2 weeks ahead so wasn't an issue.
Oh and jealous of the walnut, was drooling over it online as would be good for what I have planned, but I think it's the most expensive hardwood they have at the moment and so just can't afford it. Although I haven't put the order in yet so might go back and drool a bit more, plus I didn't take the code into account.
Good service Karl it saves all the time and overhead costs in conversion. I used to run those moulding machines in the late 1970's early 80's. Enjoyed watching. Tony

@@karlpopewoodcraft Your right there Karl, nice surface finish on the Black Walnut. The old cutter blocks used were twice as loud, we had to lip read and practice sign languge lol. Tony

Hi Karl great video, i am from Hull to. Did not know Burnetts did hardwood, nice to know, is it cheaper than a. lavers do you know? cant wait to see the cabinet. Only found your site yesterday, keep it up.
Definitely cheaper than lavers mate and a much better more personal experience. I must admit I do not like lavers after they started changing a fee for small orders at the beginning of covid, they even told me it was to put off small business and public.
Karl do you have any idea of how much difference there is in price. For arguments sake if the one you mentioned was £95 all done and dusted what's the price for the same one in rough sawn?.

No luckily I received the timber for freeeeee 🤣 well in exchange for a video however I wouldn't go anywhere else even if I was paying mate honestly.
