Lets not forget. These cozy old films were made and shown, as a form of escapism for people, from the troubles of the time such as poverty and hard times.Much later the war. at last, people had something to laugh about, and forget their troubles for a while. Nothing today compares to these classics, and never will. Forever in our hearts. Looked back on with a smile and laughter. What a legacy. They have helped me through my darkest times. What other comedy could do that today? thank you.

Those films Graham Moffatt was in were shown in the late 1970s, spawning a huge number of young fans in my school. Simply terrific comedy performed by masters of perfect timing and natural talent. Beer in Devon was a favoured place to visit on our summer holidays in Seaton. I can see why Graham loved it so much.

An American doing deep dives into youtube for Brit comedy, just discovered Will Hay. Terrific stuff so far . 3 great actors and very good writing in these movies. As good as any off the classic 30s stuff on the other side of the Atlantic, more American classic comedy fans should know of this. Watching and looking for more. Had to write this comment becouse I really was taken by the young talented Mr. Moffatt especially. So i found this film. Also want to say it's a very well made tribute. Bless all, keep laughing!

Seeing will hay, with moore marriott and graham Moffatt on screen brings such a sense of familiarity and warm feeling of nostalgia to me that i sometimes i just have one of their films on as background noise even if im not watching it just to feel that happy feeling it always brings..

thank you these three are my idols .what made graham so funny in my humble opinion was his magnificent rudeness to will hay.given the class structure of the day their films are quite anarchic.there lies their enduring appeal kids and adults can enjoy them even today. i think hay made a mistake in ending the partnership. back room boys would have been their next project but swapping moore and graham for a couple of girls and giving them a kind of cameo role doesnt help the picture which they are the best in.studios like the bbc didnt realise what they had as often happens.today at prime time saturday night dads army will be on running continuously for 50 years in repeats and still gets a massive audience.croft and perry freely acknowledge that much of the show was copied or inspired by the three idiots.yet the beeb started to wipe shows not realising they had the biggest hit in british sitcom for longevity.happily the last three lost episodes are now being remade.every person i know now who sees oh mr porter for the first time admits its the funniest film theyve ever seen.i know of no other thirties comedy team still watchable today.porter was given a special showing in the 60s thirtieth anniversary i think and the radio times had a team of critcs from highbrow papers proclaim it the funniest british film of all time and i wont argue and tied it with night at the opera as funniest movie of all time in sound.as an irishman i still think it was filmed in ireland though i know different.from the magnificent start on the bus dont know if you realise its a spoof of the opening of dracula to next trains gone to that wheel dont work to everything round here is either too old or wont work ..and your both,it never stops being funny,.that it endures to this day is a tribute to the talent of all three man.well done graham you seem to have had a lovely but sadly short life but live on in our hearts.thankyou for this wonderful post and a chance to say what ive wanted for years about these three treasures.

I can well remember in the 60's on a wet Sunday afternoon, sitting in the 'front room' watching Will, Moore and Graham get up to their' antics and the whole family rolling with laughter. Nice video, I watched a film on you tube a few years ago in which Graham had a part but was not in any list I checked for him. I can not remember the films title but I left a message in the comments for it if anyone is interested to know its title.

Graham missed his calling twice: He should have played Joe in "The Pickwick Papers", AND should have gone to Hollywood in the 1950's and replaced Shemp (not Joe Besser) in the 3 Stooges!
