Nobody ask ukrainians any more. Nazi lost elections in 2007,2010,2012. Then they took power by force in 2014. And just canceled all non-nazi parties. Not just Party of Regions who got presidency before that, but Com and Soc parties, who didn't have a power to do any crimes they blamed on government, but could consolidate majority.
When people went to protests, they called it russian invasion and sent first neo-nazi gangs, and then regular troops against citizens. 120 unarmed civilians burned alive in Odessa in one day for protesting against new regime, who didn't even orchistrated elections for "correct" ukrainians in that time. Official point of view - they all were russian citizens. Odessa voted 74% for the east on last elections.
On 2014 "elections" they got 50.22% official participation. 50% is needed to make it legitimate. With total military control over elections services they totally could bend some numbers.
In 2010 Eastern Yanukovich had 12M votes. In 2014 western Poroshenko got 9.8M.
In 2016 they jailed pacifist who was one of minor leaders of both Maidans, obviously loyal to EU overlords, but after being a journalist on Donbass called Kiev invasion of Donetsk a crime against Ukraine, and asked the people to boycott recruitment. Brought the regime to power and jailed for treason just for words.
Same year they killed historian who criticized nacism and lies of nazi in school textbooks. Just stabbed on the border of his home.
What are you expected from us after that? We are a decade deep in systematic government terror. Go on streets just to be shoot to death again?
Zelenskiy promised in 2019 to end the war, that's the only way he got votes of pacifist majority. And betrayed all of it.
And now they canceled elections, because no peace party is allowed to exist, and they will never get 50% participation without it.

The Ukrainian & Zelensky should come to thier senses. Ukraine will have to be divided into 2 in order to prevent more bloodshed. They should ask themselves are they willing pay in blood like the Vietnamese did inorder to kick out the foreign power. Vietnamese fought for more than 3 decades. Their casualty are in millions not thousands.
The Russian naval base Sevastopol, Crimea is of Strategic importance to Russia. Just as U.S. will not tolerate any foreign military assets base Western Hampshare example Caribbean. Russian will not tolerate any foreign military assets in Ukraine. The reality is Ukraine will be divided East & West. The Ukrainian should realised that they will be able to have good economic development without Eastern Ukraine Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts.

Lavrov is one of the best diplomats in the world, he commands respect from leaders of countries whereas Zelensky lacks legitimacy, he was a former comedian installed by western powers after toppling the former leader of Ukraine. The west promised Gorbachev never an inch eastward but broke their pledge.

    • @Pyrokan
      @Pyrokan 5 месяцев назад

Utter nonsense. Zelensky won in free and unmanipulated elections - his legitimacy is out of the question. He was not "installed", unlike officials brought to Ukraine behind Russian tanks. And he was elected way after the Maidan, so that's also lazy statement on your part. As for "no eastward expansion of NATO" - Gorbachev himself said that no such pledge was ever made.

This is a general with moral principles and a conscience. He talks about the underlying principles of military actions, as stated by Clausewitz, "war is not merely an act of policy but a true political instrument, a continuation of. political intercourse, carried on with other means." War, as a means of self-destruction of a nation, is a contradiction, a complete negation of politics.
And that he wears a uniform is actually a sign that he knows something about the subject. Furthermore, it is a sign of the high educational standard of the Chinese Army. He cares about the people, the human beings of Ukraine and Russia are not mere numbers, or coloured dots on a map, and he has guts, to utter his opinion freely.
Mr. Z is the impolite elephant in the China shop, the relative you have but do not like to mention and hope to forget. He enters a room and all know that he is not more of a tool, even he knows. And his handler had no problem to present him, an old veteran of an infamous unit, as freedom fighter, knowing that his entourage consists of similar minded persons. He is a disgrace in an olive t-shirt, and all know it.

The fact that the US was ready to plunge the entire world in nuclear Armageddon because the Soviets deployed nukes in Cuba tells us that having weapons and military bases of a hostile country so closed to your country is a clear national security threat. If the US can view the Cuban Missile Crisis as an existential threat, why shouldn't Russia view Ukraine becoming a NATO member and having US military bases and potentially nukes right at its border not also an existential threat. And shouldn't ALL countries have the right to defend themselves?

From SEA, its very simple really if Zelensky cared for his people he should have negotiated the best offer he could from Russia and end this war! The Donbass region is mostly Russian speaking and have been in an 8 years war even before this conflict started.
There are also many videos and news about how wealthy Zelensky is since he became President, can u imagine an actor like him worth hundreds of millions.... and Ukraine actors arent even that highly paid.
The corruption in Ukraine is the highest in the world, there are many in Ukraine in power milking this for all they can till it comes down and they can than migrate and retire set for life. Sad that the common Ukraine people are paying the price, but than in this world leaders in power for themselves and their cliche seldom care for the well being of what their responsibilities should be and even in the US we can already see this play out in most of the leaders in the Senate, the House, the Judicial system, the FBI, the Justice Dept, the CIA, etc..

The same day the government was appointed, they invited the CIA and MI6. This government included a couple of Americans who became Ukrainians. There were those in the government who questioned that all important decisions were sent to Washington and those who questioned this were dismissed. Regarding the point you make that if someone was to retort to the general: "what about Taiwan, etc?" I think you're wrong to say this would be a 'checkmate argument.' The context of both situations are quite different. First off, the current Zelensky regime in Kiev is the product of the US-instigated 2014 coup. The US literally removed the democratically-elected government of Ukraine and put in its place a compliant puppet regime. China never removed Taiwan’s democratically-elected government. Following the Maidan massacre and the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych, the Banderite extremists and Neo-Nazi started persecuting ethnic Russians in the Eastern regions--literally making them second-rate citizens, forbidding them to use their native language and removing their rights. It's in this oppressive context that Crimea overwhelmingly expressed its will to secede Ukraine in a first referendum, and then voted to join the Russian Federation in a second plebiscite. The far right Ukrainian extremists then continued to harass and wage murderous attacks against the Donbas and Eastern ethnic Russians, killing around 14,000 civilians in 8 years, before the SMO in 2022.
China has never mistreated the people of Taiwan, let alone waging war on them. Quite the contrary. The current arrangement has been quite beneficial to Taiwan, whose economy depends on good relations with the Mainland. If there is a parallel to make between the Ukraine conflict and Taiwan, it’s that they both have been victims of US and Western imperialism; except that it has not yet escalated into a full-blown war in Taiwan. It should also be noted that Crimea and the 4 Oblasts have overwhelmingly voted for their reunification with Russia, following years of oppression and savage treatment of the civilian population. It's clear to me that Crimea and the 4 Oblasts (maybe more to come) can only belong to the Russian Fatherland--not the hypocritical West and NATO. Similarly, Taiwan can only exist as an integral part of the Chinese nation, not as a US protectorate! Furthermore, if Western powers are so keen on separating Taiwan from Mainland China--whilst officially supporting the One-China policy, why do they refuse to recognise the right of ethnic Russians in the Eastern Oblasts and keep turning a blind eye to the horrendous terrorist acts committed against them by Ukrainian Neo-Nazis since 2014?

If China was historically astute then they should cut the crap about territorial integrity and sovereignty because historically speaking borders change, nothing is permanent, just look at China's different dynasties with different maps for what they considered China, if for a strong polity like Russia and China deems a territory important for say security then they take it period, China should be honest with itself, it is not wrong to act even if it goes against the concept of territorial integrity and sovereignty, this is just how nations act, this is just how powers act, China should not be like the US/EU that constantly uses the excuse of freedom and democracy or liberal democracy for their geopolitical goals and looking like hypocrites, China should not be a hypocrite and it will gain respect for that instead of having tons of mental gymnastics problems to explain itself like the West.

What is a situation, circumstance or prerequisite for China to offer Ukraine an "offramp"? This seems like a dubious notion, as conventional wisdom dictates China has no incentive for the Ukraine war to end; it's good because it costs the U.S. money, it maintains the precedent that dictatorial states can invade their neighbors successfully, and given the U.S.' hawkish economic approach of late, there is no carrot the U.S. is likely to offer to square this circle and convince China to become a legitimate arbiter in the region. These questions posed to Zelensky are obviously meant to discredit the U.S., expose expansionist policies, and most importantly they are intended to invalidate the legitimacy of Ukraine's right to defend its borders.
Of course Zelensky is a puppet and corrupt, and his entire military class is looting aid funds; that said, his hands are not only tied by U.S.-NATO but also by nationalist elements in his own country. If Zelensky goes to the bargaining table, he will be killed.

Ha! This is your most click baity title yet! Love it! I am going to have to use that same technique when I produce YT content questioning XPJ’s policy on Taiwan.😂
The general perfectly expresses the friction between free thinking versus conformed thinking.
Of course everyone wants to live versus being dead, but this guy apparently thinks that there is nothing worth fighting for if there is a risk of being killed. That’s cowardice being mischaractized as intelligence in my book.
The mistake I see the general making is assuming Russia’s victory over Ukrainian is assured, when it is in fact not. If light triumphs over darkness Ukraine will prevail, if darkness triumphs over light, the Russia will defeat Ukraine.
Would he be saying this same thing when looking at the Party’s darkest days in its fight against the KMT? Highly doubt it, though I suspect the KMT would have liked the Party to have adopted his thinking.
If the British in the American Colonies adopted this general’s mentality, the British Monarchy probably would have resettled in North America.😂
