There are tons of products that work well with type 4 hair, especially the black owned brands. This still could be an issue forType 4c, but for the most part there is something out there that works for everyone. Your curls look more like 3c unless thats due to the heat damage.
+AlNisa21 the couple pieces that might look like 3c are definitely heat damage by hair is a combo of 4a,b,c I have different curl patterns all over my head, I've never had one curl pattern through out.
