is there any limit on how much you can deduct to a mobile phone if it was bought for Uber and my own purposes, or I can deduct 100% at once?(price 300 USD)
Hello I have a question. I work for Doordash and I was wondering if estimated quarterly tax payments are mandatory or if they are the same thing as filing my taxes once a year (April 15th)?
Hey My friend. Thanks for the video. I'm doing Doordash since last year ( 2023) did some taxes, but I believe I fcked up it.. Ive done with an taxes accountant and just did what they asked me to do.. Declare literally all my expenses... Otherwise some expenses doesn't look right ones.. For example.. They asked me to put on: my house rent ( they said my car stays in the garage and I keep charging it in my garage), electricity ( charging car at home), my own meals bought while shifting... This week, I've received a letter from CRA asking me to register an GST account ( because I'm doing over 30k dollars year).. I'm worried about it.. Could you give me some advice? I'm gonna call CRA to do that gst account on Tuesday... Anyways... Just worried... I have child benefits ( have 5 kids) and don't wanna get in trouble with it. Thanks again for the video.
I have a LLC for a photography business that I’m not active with for several years now. Can I set the DoorDash under that so I don’t have to learn another way to do my taxes.
@@kevinmandara5186 As a dasher, delivery or 1099... as an LLC you take your income from a distribution which is not as much income as a photographer should or would earn. The 25% may offer expenses or summary write offs but its against standard mileage deductions allowed. You would have to define or redefine your LLC paperwork with the State. I haven’t kept any receipts or record. However i can check my bank statements for gas expense and insurance as well. Can i just put the estimated amount? Will this be any issue?
So if we're doing uber eats and door dash can we just add the income of the two together and use the one T2125? I would assume only one is required since most run both apps at the same time and put the same recorded miles on the vehicle. Also I only have the door dash payout each week, it doesnt break down the tips and base pay, is that a big deal since the total income is still there?
Hi my son work for skip the dishes and they give a T4A we put that in the T4’s form as the other ones he have of another 2 jobs and also we need to do a T2150 for the expenses? Thank you for what you do for the channel you are very good explaining everything
Hey, I am doing both doordash and uber eats. As a self employed while filling the tax, I have question related to the accountant fees. My accountant charges fees to do tax filling individually for my Doordash and Uber Eats income. As both are a corporation. So i get charged $650 for doordash tax filling and another $650 for Uber Eats. Can you tell me if this is how all accountant work or is it just mine? Thank You
For the information you provided, yes you can absolutely file a single return for both your DoorDash and Ubereats earnings (cost effective too). The fees could be a bit more reasonable, but I can't say much about if your are being charged more or less without having a complete understanding of your specific situation.
@@instaccountantThere is no any other complicated situation. It is just a regular tax return. That is why i think the accountant charge is not reasonable at all.
Hello. How to divide fuel consumption especially for Uber if I use a car for personal purposes as well?
Track mileage and apply your business-use percentage for a tax-deductible amount.
Which boxes do I need to fill out for T4A DOORDASH?
is there any limit on how much you can deduct to a mobile phone if it was bought for Uber and my own purposes, or I can deduct 100% at once?(price 300 USD)
You can only deduct the business-use percentage.
How can I ask DoorDash to claim the HST? Since there is no option in the app and their website. Thank you
You can continue
Hello I have a question. I work for Doordash and I was wondering if estimated quarterly tax payments are mandatory or if they are the same thing as filing my taxes once a year (April 15th)?
If you are HST registered then you have to file quarterly or annually depending on your situation.
Do doordashers need to do quarterly taxes or yearly?

@@CuzOfSteveif your income exceeds $30,000, you are required to register for HST.
@@instaccountant is this income from doordash only or overall earnings (including other sources)?

Is there a way were Doordash support can send you a document that says all your expenses, mileage, etc..????
Unfortunately, no, you have to keep track yourself.
Yes! Doordash emails you your estimated miles driven every year around late February. But again, it is only an estimate.
Hi. My accountant said i can't use mileage deduction. It is for federal employees. I can only deduct car expenses for car, not mileage.
You should claim all your car and other related expenses on actual basis, that saves more tax.
The .68 cents per km for 1st 5000 km and 0.64 cents for anything over does not apply for self employed uber eats, doordash etc... workers.

Yes you can use one t2125 for both income. It's better to have tips separate, but total income will work in case of door dash.
How much maximum tax percentage for door dash any answers please
You'll pay tax based on your total income after deductions.
