    Hey My friend. Thanks for the video. I'm doing Doordash since last year ( 2023) did some taxes, but I believe I fcked up it.. Ive done with an taxes accountant and just did what they asked me to do.. Declare literally all my expenses... Otherwise some expenses doesn't look right ones.. For example.. They asked me to put on: my house rent ( they said my car stays in the garage and I keep charging it in my garage), electricity ( charging car at home), my own meals bought while shifting... This week, I've received a letter from CRA asking me to register an GST account ( because I'm doing over 30k dollars year).. I'm worried about it.. Could you give me some advice? I'm gonna call CRA to do that gst account on Tuesday... Anyways... Just worried... I have child benefits ( have 5 kids) and don't wanna get in trouble with it. Thanks again for the video.

    I have a LLC for a photography business that I’m not active with for several years now. Can I set the DoorDash under that so I don’t have to learn another way to do my taxes.

    • @parallelpost
      @parallelpost 5 месяцев назад

      @@kevinmandara5186 As a dasher, delivery or 1099... as an LLC you take your income from a distribution which is not as much income as a photographer should or would earn. DD only gives drivers a 25% revenue base vs. if you worked as a chauffeur under a greater compensation package. The 25% may offer expenses or summary write offs but its against standard mileage deductions allowed.
      You would have to define or redefine your LLC paperwork with the State. You are basically saying you only began earning income and monies after you began driving. That may be fine with the IRS and rid yourself of guilt but you would have to define the nature of your business.
      Sunshine Transportation, LLC
      Sunshine Shutterbugs, LLC
      if you cannot accurately define your business model, you may attract an audit from the IRS and get unwanted mail from the state and city.
      I know that as a former airport shuttle lease driver and van owner/operator in So Cal, we have lots of fuel, airport fees, phones or comms, laptops, shared office space under an association/fee, maintenance, tolls, washes, upgrades for tour or charter appointments, uniforms, travel expenses into Nevada or hotels around theme parks, sometimes motels in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, badges for bases or secured facilities, so on.
      It is all on the Profit and Loss statements
      From operational standpoint, my vans runs at 1.00 to 2.50 per mile but never as low as .50 per mile which is where gig apps and corporations try to get you to operate from. Your autos will suffer greatly and you will have no profit to draw from without using personal credit cards. As a airport van operator we earn 43. to 63. dollars per hour, rake in up to 1200. per 24 hr. shift going city to city or port to port. These figures cannot compare to using Lyft or Uber for rideshare scraps. Lease drivers make 55% and you only get 25% of basepay, tips, from Doordash.
      Ditch the LLC, make it defunct, pay any state fees owed or the IRS will go after you for even having an LLC to tax.

    So if we're doing uber eats and door dash can we just add the income of the two together and use the one T2125? I would assume only one is required since most run both apps at the same time and put the same recorded miles on the vehicle. Also I only have the door dash payout each week, it doesnt break down the tips and base pay, is that a big deal since the total income is still there?
