    So if I choose the standard deductions method for one year I have to choose that method every single year following that as long as I’m using the same car? Does this apply to quarterly taxes as well? And will this ever change what if one year my tracking isn’t as good and I want to use standard deduction method am I screwed?

    It would be nice if the video mentioned which country's taxes this video is addressing. I'll have to guess by your accent that this is for Americans. They have turbotax here in Canada too, but the taxation is not the same. Specificity is key, especially with taxes.

  • @juancarlosmontes
    @juancarlosmontes 3 года назад

    This is a surefire way to estimate your miles at a high accuracy level. Find the paperwork to your oil changes or anything that was done on your car, including tires or anytime you took it to a shop. They recorded your current mileage on your paperwork. If you know what your miles were at the end of the previous year from your previous years tax return or what your mileage is now it is easy to do the subtraction and the division to come up with about how many miles you drive per month. Even if you got audited and showed the auditor how you arrived at your mileage figures, they wouldn't balk.

      Hi there- Did you report your Uber income on your 2018 return? If you did NOT report your Uber income on your 2018 return you will need to file an amended return to report that income. Access TurboTax through your dashboard, log in, and then select amend return. You will be instructed on how to add your Uber income.

    HELP PLEASE! Uber Eats & DoorDash worker here. Filing on TurboTax. Where do I put my gross earnings & net payout? Where do I put my expenses, fees & tax to claim them? Both my 1099MISC don't have a box for this. They only have one number. Box 7 Nonemployee Comp. I already did my deductions such as cell phone, miles, gas, supplies, food/drinks & repairs. At no point did I see a spot for gross earnings, expenses, fees, tax & net payout. Also, where can I find my tax summary for DoorDash? I have the Uber Eats one already.
