First time I see somebody reflecting the same position I have. I used to code and learn a lot outside my coding job during the first year until I burned out completely and fall off for two months thinking that i won't ever code again. Since then I only coded outside of work when I didn't have job. And sometimes it makes me think that I could be much better as developer if i'd continuously code at home , but it has been 5 years already and it's going just fine. have plenty of free time doing whatever I want. So I guess we're not wrong looking at it this way. Work to live gang!
yeah I feel that if I coded outside of work, then I would be a lot better too, but at what cost lol life isn't all about working - looks like we're doing just fine :)
just comparing sql databases to nosql like mongodb mongodb is good for making personal projects but large companies won't use nosql databases because of its unstructured data also, sql databases have been around for a long time, so it's unlikely for large companies to migrate
@@speedychicken831 it's the most popular stack for personal projects, since it's easy to set up a full stack application I meant that creating projects using the MERN stack doesn't really prepare you for the job since most companies don't use it it does help you gain a basic understanding of a full stack project though to improve at the job, I think people need to work more, and personal projects don't help much at that point
