    I've got the WB8 and plan on using closed-cell foam, one inch thick, wrapping it into a cylinder and covering it with Sunbrella. I intend to use a rope spiral to attach it to the gunwales. Thanks for the upload and the inspiration.

    Thanks for posting this Jon! I just bought a used (barely) wb10 for $500. I'm going to replicate your build to the tee.🙏

      Use black UV RATED zip ties not the white, the black ones last longer and are stronger, don't crack and break.

    Could you just fill the fire hose with the insulation foam?

    I have that same boat and am thinking about copying what you did. Where did you find the caps for the drainage pipe, also do you think if you had put the pipe further down it would of stabilized the boat more

    I did a similar mod with Blue big boss pool noodles. I drilled 1/4" holes hidden under the gunnels for 1/4" rope. The rope goes through the pool noodles used old wine corks to seal noodles at the 2 ends and duck taped joins. Then painted poll noodles to protect from UV rays. Total cost under $30. Add plywood floor pus carpet and a chair free. Top of the line wooden oars which needed a refinish. The Walker Bay 28lb. Minn Kota Maximizer and a 200amp Century battery charger. A couple of tackle boxes and Daiwa spinning reel for $650. Already had a 2HP Honda. I used to catch up to 5lb. Rainbow Trout but catch up to 10lb. At the local Lake. Don't have to worry about wake from ski boats at all. One of the many reasons I catch such big Trout us that it's so quiet. In the biggest Trout derby ever 385 Fisher's I won that as well collecting $1000 first prize. Dollar for dollar I think my boat can't be beat. Barely fits in my Silverado pickup box. I just set motor on straight and correct direction with the oars. Absolutely so easy and comfortable. Which is great because catching so many fish my arm gets sore damn fish I would like a break now and then.

    there is a small narrow take apart dinghy called the Duo that uses an inflatable collar and I have bee thinking about building it but never figured out a cheap way to make the collar, I think your idea would work great. I subscribed, thumbs up.

    You should of tried to get black UV rated zip ties. They last longer and don't crack or break as easy.

    But what improved with this? Did actually anything change? I didn't see the hoses hitting the water, so what's the point?

    Thanks for the video. That motor pushed you very well. Is it a 2.5 hp ?

    Where did you buy the corrugated pipe? It looks like Home Depot's 6" X 20' non-perforated corrugated pipe is 5 times more expensive than their 6" X 10'. 🤔

    What a perfect example of the difference between standard horizontal format and the lousy vertical format. This entire video could have been shot in horizontal format; all they have to do is turn the phone horizontal. I saw one scene where the tried to shoot horizontal, but it ended up vertical, most phones will switch format as soon as you turn the phone on its side, some you have to start the video horizontal, it won't change automatically, just make sure to hold the phone horizontal before you start recording.

    I would try this but I don’t want holes in my boat 🤔👍

    • @jonathanyoung5565
      @jonathanyoung5565  4 года назад +2

      The only holes in the in the boat are in the side rail where your oar locks are way above the water line there are already pre drilled holes there as well with plugs in case u buy the intended tube kit.

    • @wildboyonamish7634
      @wildboyonamish7634 4 года назад +1

      Jonathan Young the only holes in the boat are for the proper rib that’s why the holes are plugged I have the same boat walkerbay nice boats but I wouldn’t like to drill new holes just to make a rib when you can buy them under £50 dont ruin your boats by drilling holes 🤔🤔👍
