I hate how impatient people are, they see the first few episodes and are immediately conclude it's boring and criticize the anime just because the first few episodes are not as good as the first few death note episodes. I just keep quiet and let them speak, because they have just missed an opportunity to watch and experience one of the greatest stories of all time.

I still remember the episode where this ED started on. Lelouch was arriving to meet Shirley to go to a concert and when he got their he saw her standing in the rain. That scene was so sad.
Actually that was the episode before this played. That was episode 12, this played on episode 13. How do I know? Because I'm watching this masterpiece for the 4th time because it's fucking amazing.

He is immortal like C.C., he got the Code from his father, after he got killed.
There are many facts, which show you that he is alive.
Lelouch was confirmed dead by the writers, but maybe they ment it as a symbol. That the Lelouch we know doed there but he theoretically didn't die, but rather starter a fresh life with C.C. at the country side (as the "Lelouch is alive" theories say. Anyway, i was way more sad about Euphemias death than both Shierly's and Lelouch's, maybe Even combined.
Guy Sensei The writer said that Lelouch died. Yes he did. Same as C.C. died several times as well. He could have meant that he died in that moment, which he did, he died, but did he came back to live ?

I don’t know if you’ll ever see this comment but I just want to tell you that you changed my life. 5 years ago I stumbled upon this song by chance and the song seemed fantastic to me, I wanted to research a little more about it and found out that it was from the anime series "Code Geass". At that time, I didn't even know what anime was, but delighted with the song, I decided to look and see what it was about. When I watched this anime my life changed, during that period I went through very difficult moments in my life and Code Geass was my salvation. I can't describe how much only Lelouch inspired me and how happy I was to be with him during those 50 episodes. Simply, this anime is magical, and after 5 years, not a day goes by that I don't think of Lelouch, Kallen, CC and Suzaku. If I hadn't come across this song 5 years ago, I would have led a totally different life, which is why I want to say a big THANK YOU!

I may be a little late to the party but I just finally finished Code Geass and WOW what an amazing anime without a doubt a masterpiece it is now definitely one of my favourite anime’s of all time just WOW. And that ending had me so damn beautiful so bittersweet, I’m Glad that everyone like Kallen and Nunnally realises what Lelouch planned after his execution but I’m also sad that the world will never know what he done for it, but I’m very happy that he died to the world cheering his name “Zero, Zero Zero,” And the few last words of Lelouch “I will destroy the world and recr” damn. Definitely top 3 anime of mine now absolutely amazing story!

@@khalan2364 well not really. They said Lelouch died. But as we know you have to die before obtaining the code. As Charles died after Lelouch shot him and got his code. After getting code you become someone who doesn't belong to humans. So they goes with names like C.C an V.V. On Lelouch's case he became L.L. Atleast we assumed that. And it was also shown in the movie.
Btw I am not talking about the movie right now. But if you had watched the first Japanese version of code geass then you might probably see that,on the last episode's ending the cart was driven by someone looked like Lelouch (full face was not shown. Only 2/3 was shown) and C.C tilted her head towards the driver when she said, "Right, Lelouch??".
But they removed the scene on later release. That's the reason why many believed that Lelouch didn't died. Even way before the movie released. But not everyone saw that version of code Geass's last episode , which is why there are different opinions among the viewers.
This ending hit hard when suzaku and lelouch both fired their pistols, and it instantly started playing.

No, it's true. He is still alive. In the official japanese version of code geass, in the end (spoiller alert) he is still alive. When he battles Charles, Charles activates a code that makes Lelouche invinsible. After that, when he is "killed" the code activates and he survives (you can see his face at the end of the last episode and C2 is talking to him). So yah : Lelouche Lamperouge is, in fact still alive :D best ending ever. So he will spend the rest of his life, probably with C2. (awesome anime)

Rewatching it again after so much years, this show will always have a special place in my heart.
It's 2022, and this song still makes me emotional (along with Continued Story). I know a lot of people compared this anime to Death Note, and I see the similarities myself, but to me, Lelouch accomplished everything that Light couldn't. Imo, Light lost himself to the necessary evils he committed in his pursuit of the greater good, but Lelouch overcame that all. The ending was so beautiful, yet so heartbreaking. Because of that, Code Geass to me will always be the better anime, even though Death Note is more popular.

I find with most anime that the first opening theme is better than the second opening theme however the second ending theme is better that the first ending theme

I love and hate the ending of code geass because if anyone could have faked their death, it's Lelouch and he could have lived as Zero. I feel sorry for his friends who end up misunderstanding him because of the way it turned out.

Lelouch didn't die . If u watch last episode carefully u will realize when nunnally touches Lelouch she did read his memories. What i mean is Lelouch got C.C code and that is why C.C crying also Orange were happy at the end . So as C.C talking with Lelouch at last .
I enjoy Lelouch's elaborate strategy. It wasn't Charles' Geass that allowed Nunally to read his memories, it was the fact that he, like C.C, was an Immortal. It's the same thing as when Lelouch touched C.C and he had seen all of her memories.
And yet, Nunally never saw where Lelouch had planned to become an Immortal. That's because it was the one thing he never expected to happen.
But he will live on. Always watching over the world, serving as a knight for justice and truth. He will no longer live his life as Lelouch Vi Brittannia. He will sacrifice the ordinary pleasures of his life for the benefit of the world.

I just finished re-watching CG. It has been like almost a decade since I watch it the first time. Growing up, I realized how this anime just told difficult message regarding real world's political conflicts and wars. It is so well written...

Finished it, legit feel like I want to watch it all again without knowing anything about it so I'd cry and laugh and enjoy this brilliant anime all over again. Death Note was brilliant but if you discount this story, you're truly missing out on a heart-wrenching story. I feel like Code Geass will always be in my heart, the ending was so sad but beautiful. Please watch till the end, guys.
What I do: watch it every few years and get the same feels
Personally think this would fit better with the last quarter of season 2. Played it lightly while watching the last episode. Tears filled my eyes. Perfect song that fits right in with code geass.

I remember when I first got into anime. I would have Code Geass tivo'd incase I missed it on adult swim. And when the episode ended I would play the ending credits over and over 'til I learn the words to this song--well about 1 minute of it technically. HAHA

I hate people who look at the first episode of code gesss and conclude "this shit is boring" when there is SO much more to it. I hate even more the people who say "The art is ugly I refuse to watch it"

I miss Code Geass so much! Such an underrated anime. It was the second anime I had watched and it is still one of my all time favorites to watch! .
