I first saw Diana Ross when I was 8 yrs old on my lunch break home with my mom. I would walk home from school at lunch time, my mother would make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of milk and we would watch the Mike Douglas show. In those days the Mike Douglas show would come on just before the soaps. One afternoon I was seated in front of our little black & white television set watching with my mother when Mike introduced the Supremes. I was hooked on Diana Ross from that moment on. Mary and Florence wee there but I was Mezmerize by that one girl. I am now 63 years old and still am mesmerized by this lady. I describe her magic like looking into a 💯 watt light 💡 at close range. She have inspired me. That little 8 year old boy went back to school that afternoon with a new attitude. It’s possible for me to be great. That is Diana Ross message and magic that made me want to dream big and work hard to achieve my dreams.
You see Diana is a smooth operater singing smoothly as silk ,she can belt if needed , oh the girl can go if she needs to but basically she is just smooth is her motto
The greatest female vocalist of all time. Period. She toured with 3 tenors for several years and recorded a live album with them. Christmas in Vienna. Listen to her rendition of Amazing Grace from that dvd. Mind blown , check.
AND IN CLOSING: When she did HOME at Central Park - DAY 1, it took on a special meaning: ruclips.net/video/c6U-_1aKpOI/видео.html. DAY 2 was special too!
Diana is telling her band in this video to pick it up some , it was going a little slow for her at that time .but that's what happens when you sing live some times you want it slower & some time you want it faster ,but basically Diana does her songs live as you hear them on record , most times they are better than the record .and yes she is most definitely smooth deliverer of song first rate and yes she has power to her light voice of what lots of people call fragile . Her voice is light but it is by no means fragile. She could not sing a song like "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" Home, One More Chance, What You Gave Me , No One Chance, etc. You can not sing those types of songs with the power Diana displayed and have a weak voice . And Diana always , always deliver a flawlessly smooth performance in Concert. I believe because her delivery of song are so smooth lots of people think she can't sing or had no depth or substance of which both instance are over looked and underrated and are not true .
She sounded and looked really good! I really liked her hair😊! "The Boss", and "Its My House" are 2 of her songs you might want to chk out! Liked your reaction!
TWO MORE "HOME"s worth EXPERIENCING: 1979 - ruclips.net/video/9KujrDlMA2w/видео.html and 1981 - ruclips.net/video/nqKchwBrSew/видео.html BOTH STELLAR!!!! XOXOXO
Here's a good song checkout her song by writer Micheal Masser "One More Chance" "What You Gave Me " written Ashford & Simpson just a few songs where she belts , then here a beautiful sweet dreamie song call "Experience" and "I'm In The World " these are a few of beautiful sultry out puts . Ashford and Simpson the writers of " Ain't No Mountain High Enough" they have said Diana can surprise you she has range but she does not like to sing in her upper riggester and they told Diana when sing up their you are percolating your audience would love to hear you go there . Diana supposedly told them she personally does not like to hear herself sing in those ranges tho so she tries not to do it unless she she pushed Ashford & Simpson said , other than that Diana is known to be able to sing just about anything you put in front of her and has song every genre of music, except opera she's even song some rock music .
DIANA is and always be the total package
Diana Ross is simply the Queen to me. No one in every department does it like Diana. No one.
