I've stayed in a lot of Motel 6 motels over the years and have always had decent enough rooms. I had to be moved once because the sewer was backing up in the shower but other than that I've always had a good experience.
Nice review, glad they left the light on for you.
I heard when they opted for the current decor - they asked for feedback from not only customers but also the cleaning staff.
The last time I stayed in a Motel 6 they charged $2 for a key to turn on the television and the television was black & white.
Wow, it was amazing!
This place is honestly nicer than the Springhill Suites by Marriott we just checked out of.
I stayed at this hotel with my famil when we would go to the Holiday World amusement park in nearby Santa Claus. Miss those days!

I will be in your neighborhood in June. staying at the Union station hotel. Been there before so I know what its like. Just a stop over from the Texas Eagle to the River runner the next morning on my way to Kansas City.

For a Motel 6, It is very nice. I tend to stay at Comfort Inns or Holiday Inns.
Are those hotels nice?
Oh god no there infested with insects and really not clean especially holtel 8 or super8
@@ARaebow Holiday Inns can be inconsistent. I've had some nice stays at HI and I've had some not so nice stays. I tend to avoid them. Comfort Inn is usually okay.
@@skystreak1983 I stayed at a Comfort Inn a while back it's okay wasn't really a fan of it.
@@ARaebow Okay is about the best way to describe it. I've never felt dirty or unsafe at a Comfort Inn but there are better options out there.

Hey Jacob I was wondering something about hotels that you might be able to answer. Why do you go towels always smell so weird? To me, they almost smell like maple syrup.
Probably the chemicals they wash them in.

The stain on the toilet seat is from bleach, doesn't look great but it isn't actually dirt

Jacob, looks like you got lucky. Most Motel 6's are roach fests and even I look elsewhere. But this one looks to be in good shape, save for that toilet seat.

I checked out a Baymount once. It smelled weird. I went somewhere else.

@@TheElevatorChannel That's great! I first got involved in 1999, and in the mid to late 2000's was an Assistant Regional Rep for the South Central Region (TX OK LA). One of my best friends is still the South Central Regional Rep. You should look into doing videos of your own take of rides at Holiday World or Six Flags St. Louis. I bet your followers would love to see your take on "A Day At Six Flags", etc.
The one in Braintree, MA is nice but the one near Charlotte NC airport was awful.

I’m surprised that this Motel 6 is clean, most I’ve heard of were disgusting!
The Motel 6 in Evansville, Indiana is not that great.
This must be one of the better locations.
Most of them are 1950's dumps that have been converted.
Not the one near the Austin Airport, it was very clean.

You never have to worry about motel 6. The police are always there and so are informants. You have nothing to worry about.

You are much less discriminating than I am. If I walk into a hotel that is managed by anyone with the last name, "Patel", I turn around and walk out! I think you found a rare find here. I admit, there is no one who loathes a hotel room any more than me!!
Racist much? If the name Patel bothers you, you must walk out of 90% of hotels. I suppose you prefer to get your bedbugs from a trump hotel?
i think i might have suggested this out before but for a stained bathroom like that isn't very necessary to cover in a hotel review video, it seems quite rude to videotape bathrooms!, unless you're staying in a executive suite and the bathroom has like a Jacuzzi you can probably demonstrate how that works but for a hotel like this it's pretty much bad manners! other then that its a nice room for a motel 6!:)
