    As shown, this will not work. If the strike is simply recessed into the jamb so that it is flush with the jamb, the night latch must be offset from the edge of the door by a significant amount, not flush with the door edge. Otherwise the body of the night latch will just hit the door jamb and the door will not close. But the back of this particular night latch is not flat. There is a raised edge that is meant to be recessed into the door edge so that the side of the night latch body is flush with the door edge. This means that, in order to offset the night latch from the door edge, you need to remove that raised edge or else create a slot in the door to accommodate it, so that you can place the back of the night latch flush against the door even if it is not at the door edge.

    Is this possible with any ERA or other Yale night latch ?

      Yes, it works with many more brands, not always the expensive high security ones. For those you need to buy a SC73 on our website

    What happened to yale they used to be quailty now its pressed steel and zinc alloy cast made in whatever country will do it the cheapest.
