The "ripped" abilities are placeholders, but I wouldn't be surprised if the final product is a different version of those abilities. If they would have made Calico like a Support-ish, they would have used like the old Skill 2 she had, where she can pounce on allies(or her cat for the distance) so that she can slightly reduce their CD
The frogs ult looks like something thatll be used a lot against mid boss. While everyone is standing there waiting for the buff crystal or whatever just turn them to stone, jump in break it and run away. Also good to cancel annoying ults like haze for example during a team fight.
Some things I found out playing Calico you can place her statues in mid-air by looking straight up, and they just float there; when you use her ult, your melee hits twice, making it super quick to clear vending machines

I wish they'd release an entirely heal-focused character, too. The ones we have have healing more or less as an added side-effect on intensely long cooldowns, but that's not what I'm looking for. I respect the idea behind keeping heals limited to avoid stalemate situations, but I really only play healers in MOBAs and the current roster is just not cutting it. The best supporter worth their salt is Viscous in this department once you got the item to copy the goo prison, but then you also need to wait for 70% of the match to be done before you can afford this item. I'm not advocating for a crazy-strong healer like Mercy, but something to the extent of Anna would be nice.
health is an important resource in-lane, it's what allows you to farm souls and eventually leave lane and be strong a strong healer would be OP for being uncounterable for most of the roster; Bebop would be the only one capable of doing something to a good backline, passive healer in-lane
kelvin should work for you i guess, his nade heals after upgrading it, and you can go a hybrid spirit and heal build and spam the nade forever while still being useful with ult and freeze ray...

I used fathom once, and that heroes gun damage is SUPERRRR BROKEN, one shot can deal 700+ Damage and you can solo walkers+guardian towers in the late game.
I feel like calico's ult doesn't really make sense with the rest of her kit. I liked when the cat statue was her ultimate. I feel like they should get rid of the invisibility in her kit and give her something else.
I mean cats like to stalk and ambush so it makes sense with the theming. I'd argue that with the shove from her cat summon, and the ability to set up multiple statues to shove people toward, she almost has more potential with invisibility than Haze does.
Some of these abilities (not talking about the duplicate abilities) just dont seem super interesting, i hope they dont just pump out lots of hereos that have simple and boring kits just to launch more heroes
Well we've known about several of these for quite a while, and many of them (even the ones that look largely complete) have seen ability changes. Yet they haven't been fully released yet aside from Mirage and he is pretty unique and interesting. I don't think they're rushing them out. Calico statues have seen a change since I last checked her out, and she seems one of the more complete.
Its cool that they are actually letting us play some of the unreleased heros but to me it seems a bit like a miss. Obviously everyone is gonna want to try new heros but because you are only allowed to pick one of them before a match the chances of you getting a new hero is pretty slim unless you play one of the more niche characters. If you thought "well i just keep playing until i get it" well ur out of luck because the mode is only available for 2 hours each day which is around 2-3 games. I just dont get it, its like giving a kid a sucker and then yanking it out of their mouth after 2 minutes. Why give us the mode in the first place? I know damn well you arent getting enough data from only 2 hours of playtime each day. I get they dont want to pull people away from the main portion of the game for too long, but 2 hours? Really? People arent gonna want to play unpolished characters all day, just let them play what they want for the time being.
Why would you make a video about characters in the hero lab, none of this characters will be the same once it is added to the base game. Hell they could even scrap all 6 characters if they wanted to .
I liked the name Kali more than generic Viper that has been used so many times in so many games. But I know it's temporary and the name Kali would cause confusion because there's Calico already, it would be a nightmare in comms to call which hero. It's weird that Valve just confidently adding prototype heroes like Fathom, Magician, and Wrecker into the game. Not very Valve-like which usually releasing stuff when it's ready or almost polished.
They are still limited time to test, infact only 2 hrs timeframe to test them in a PVP scenario. I do hope they come up with a new name for Kali/Viper though

I think viper is going to be a separate hero from Kali. Kali already has voicelines and the already has abilities. Maybe they were just using the model to test out the animations

Fathom's bloodletting is actually the old version. Shiv got balance changes in this patch, but Fathom's bloodletting wasn't.
