I mean when I lost weight (~50 lbs, I have a history of EDs, restrictive, but would yo-yo), I slowly reduced calories with small calorie deficits to prevent my all or nothing thinking (~300 cals at a time) and focused on whole foods + increasing protein. She could totally do that, that's a lifestyle change, then you slowly adjust to new deficits. Going from 3000+ (sure...I'd double that) to 1600 is probably too drastic for her. So, go to 2500, see if you lose. If you do, use that til you plateau. Adjust, keep going. Fasting didn't work for me very well at first, but I do it now. If she had an actual nutritionist like I did, they could tailor a program for her. All this being said, she won't do it because 1.) she will not address why she copes with food (therapy and in-patient are probably needed) and 2.) she's super impulsive with no self control. Countdown to phase 2. Edit: me repeatedly saying "Metformin" at the screen while working and my co-workers being like huh? Note: doing data entry.

I have under ate for months, one meal a day, going to bed hungry and not wanting to get up to cook anything, choosing to just sleep. I now am eating several hundreds of calories a day more, trying to up protein, and will get up and fix a quick sandwich if I haven't eaten enough. Hunger is not that big a deal to me, but I choose not to have the discomfort all night because you can lose interest in eating if you are not careful. It's hard for me to imagine Foodie's intense desire to eat and fear of being hungry, but I don't believe it's real given the amount she still eats.
Sansa Cooks was clocking her calories in Thailand at sometimes 7000- 8000 for the whole day. What is she talking about that she eats around 3000 now? Does she not realize Dr. Now says take you weight times 10 and that is what you are normally eating every day to maintain your weight? She needs to cut back to 2500 or less for her to significantly lose any weight, even just at two pounds a week.
That can't be right weight x10 would mean shes only eating 3500_4500 calories a day. That chicken. I think, was 1600 cal for one meal, and that's a 'small meal for her she's been clocked eating 7-8k cals a day ..I dunno. Maybe Im Wrong🤷🏽♀️

Why she does not weigh more than 350 mystifies me, much less the 334 she claims. I was using the measure 10X because that is what Dr. Now and Alan Robert uses and who am I to challenge them?
I'm also a petite woman, around Foodie's height, and losing weight with some basic calorie counting. I just wanted to drop maybe 20lbs, but even with a small frame, I'm losing 1-2lbs per week. My goal is 1200-1600, and I promise you can get your nutrient needs in at that amount. She'd be hungry, for sure, but that's because she's borrowed future meals and eaten them. She is carrying her caloric requirements for a long, long time, and to lose weight she'd have to want to eat and just...do something else.
I am 5'3"and have had to up my calories to1100- 1200, after for too long eating much less. I am perfectly fine at that level, not hungry, just have to adjust things to get more protein. I need to cut back juice, don't eat any other low quality food or soda, maybe one piece of sandwich bread a day, but I will sneak in some tortilla chips or a bit of pasta with garlic and oil or veggies.
her "exercise" is trying to do an activity of daily living...walking. 10 minutes 20 minutes at a very slow and encumbered pace. Legally, I would think she qualifies as house bound. yes, even people who are "house bound" do go out for short stints of time. In reality most do go out for longer than Chantal does.
She needs high protein soup or something; her stomach is so stretched a normal food portion prob won't fill the volume of space but soup will and the protein will keep her fuller longer than carbs or whole grain.

@@MochiA24 I think she needs to cook more and actually watch cooking videos to learn proper technique and new recipes. It would help distract her and fill in her time, but she has to be patient because many wonderful recipes cook slowly. My oven failed after repeated repairs and I spent over a year learning how to slowly braise food since only the stove top worked. Many of the recipes were great. You just need one or two really good heavy ceramic pots with lids.
She could easily eat 2500 kcal/day right now and consistently lose weight. There’s absolutely no need to only be eating 1600 kcal/day when you’re this big. So many people like Ilona from Chikara Transformations and Alan Roberts have given her actual good advice in the past, if she just followed that she’d be way more successful at weight loss.
