- Here is the extremely creepy and unsettling ending of The Witch (2015), as Thomasin signs Satan's book and frees herself from her Christian ties and turns to the Dark Side.
After making a Deal with the Devil, she walks into the woods and joins a coven of local witches, who chant very creepily around a fire. They all then begin to levitate. Terrifying scene!

this movie made satan look like a cool guy who appreciates women
But, but he is a cool guy ;) Probably appreciates women too.
@@sovarosepisthmwn2449 praise satan
More like make you look easy to manipulate. What indication is there he his sympathy is genuine and he doesn't just want her soul?

All this is the Fathers fault he sinned he stole his wife's Fathers cup and sold it to buy Black Philip and lied about the cups wearabouts even letting his Daughter be blamed
The father's refusal to admit defeat (his pride) indeed angered me. i actually wanted to punch the twins though. 2 of THE most irritating characters i've ever seen in a movie/show. i do like this film though.
All of them were sinnesr, Caleb desired her older sister, the twins were satan worshippers and Katherine disrespected her parents and later she murdered her mother all of this made her way into dealing with satan and becoming a witch
When I saw this scene on Netflix was so dark I didn't notice the human leg and the devil's face

I actually liked this scene.
After all the madness she was putted through she obviously deserved better, and the only way to do that was to free her true self once and for all.
Well interesting thought, but i wouldn't say her true self but just the part of it that is prone to the sin and the luxuries of life. We are all like that more or less and after all she went through i don't blame here.
"The Witch"(2015) is a horror movie masterpiece, and one of the 30 best horror movies of all time for sure! The ending scene of the movie was sad, dark, grim, and very creepy!
Thomasin: Black Phillip, I conjure thee to speak to me. Speak as thou dost speak to Jonas and Mercy. Dost thou understand my English tongue? Answer me.
[Beat. Thomasin turns to leave]
Black Phillip: What... [Thomasin stops] dost thou want?
Thomasin: What canst thou give?
Black Phillip: Wouldst thou like the taste of butter? A pretty dress? Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?
Thomasin: Yes.
Black Phillip: Wouldst thou like to see the world?
Thomasin: What will you from me?
Black Phillip: Dost thou see a book before thee? [Thomasin looks at the book as Black Phillip circles her in human form] Remove thy shift.
[Thomasin does so. Black Phillip places a hand on her shoulder]
Thomasin: I cannot write my name.
Black Phillip: I will guide thy hand.

They are chanting The Eleventh Enochian Key, a chant in an ancient language used for witchcraft
How do you know that?
@@HarleyLuna31 im a witchcraft nerd
@@cualfuneri2510 was enochian magic invented later on?
This movie is set in like 1690s i think🤔
@@HarleyLuna31 Well, maybe the movie producers knew this but didnt care, i dont know- i just looked it up cause wanted to know what they were chanting and found it was an enochian key
@cualfuneri2510 do you have any idea what are the voices at 3:03? Just right at the end
I was wondering what if those witches were suppressed females who decided to hang out together at night, au natural around the warm fire then stretch, dance around and feel lighter and maybe some people saw that and misinterpreted the scene. Rest was done by the grapevine. Wdy say?
Also maybe they did hard drugs too like LSD and coke .... or red bull ...it gives you wings 🧚♀️
"Feel lighter" jajajajja best coment
shailja sharma I don’t think they had those drugs in the 1630s haha

It scares me man
Religion hadn't brought any of them happiness, and Thomasin's life was pretty bleak. Her parents' religious fanaticism now had them living in a hovel. She'd reminisced fondly about the days in which they had had windows with glass, and now, after her devout mother attempted to kill her, her entire family is dead.
She now has Satan himself before her offering her a powerful life in which she can live deliciously, contrasted against a bleak existence in which she will probably be blamed by puritanical religious fanatics for her family's death.
She made the best choice, if you ask me.
you really think signing a deal with the devil is a good call man ? k ,
Her family was dead. She most likely would not have been welcomed back in the town and she couldn't survive on her own.
What else could she do?
@@safado441 The toughest and most righteous of choices : take it like a real tough woman and move out to the nearest settlement, other than the one you left, and try to make it on your own or die trying. 2 - try making friends with the natives. 3 - simply don't accept the devil's offer and go down with dignity, even if you iced your mom ; since she's religious.
@@ecosezroman1894 Consider that in the end, she is a young girl alone in the wilderness. At this point she can either 1) starve on a farm she can't work by herself, 2) probably get lost and starve trying to go back to the commonwealth on foot, or 3) even if she makes it to the commonwealth, by some miracle, probably get executed for a witch by the people there when they find out what happened.
Also consider what has transpired from her perspective: she was the last to leave the church her father left, and is the only one to look back. We see her praying devoutly, genuinely seeking to have her doubts swept away, and her faith in God and that she will go to heaven restored. And while she begs for God's mercy and grace, her family turns on her, her younger siblings bore false witness against her, her father let her take the blame for stealing a silver cup he took and sold, and her mother turned on her rage and hatred, blaming her wrongly for Caleb's death. She prayed for God's help without effect, but saw Satan's power work to devastating effect, leaving her alone with literally no where to turn if she wants to live.
As she sees it, God turned a deaf ear to all of her pleas, so... Off to the devil who shows his power, and literally lifts her up in ecstasy, instead of making her feel guilty all the time, the way the puritanical religion of her parents did.
@@safado441 Right. A thing which shows that she wasn't exactly a strong believer. Even superficial, I might say. Because if she was then she would've remembered the tale of Job from the Bible ; especially since religion was a staple practice in her household. That's why I said that she should've gone down with dignity and honor instead of giving in to satan. If everything around her got destroyed and her own family turned on her then she should've maintained her strength with all-out effort. It was basically a test of faith which she failed. And this was even more so since she had commited one of the gravest sins, that of murder by icing her mom. I mean you did that and you also sell your soul to the devil, probably thinking that since you already screwed up by killing someone close to you, then " what the hell ? let me dive in Mess river all the way to the bottom " ? Uh-uh, girlfriend. In this case, you do the exact opposite - you clinge to your faith even harder otherwise you just do what other weak person would do. I mean shouldn't being a christian mean that you use your faith to overcome your weaknesses ? Yes, her parents' way of using religion in their lives was pretty harsh but she wasn't exactly a 100 % slave-minded kid. She could've thought for herself and so she could have seen sense at least a little bit. But getting back to survival I didn't say going back to the initial commonwealth, I said trying to go the next neighbouring commonwealth ; the closest to the farm and try to live around there, avoiding to tell people something that might incriminate her as a witch.
