    I appreciate that you're not a douche bag like others that offer videos of the same procedure. I'll be using your video when I do my replacement. Thanks dude.

    Great video, I have a 2013 crosstrek with the same codes. I am going to attempt this at home without purchasing the entire valve body. I have one important question, how much total cvt fluid needs to go back in other than dumping 1/2 quart inside valve body case.? Thank you awesome video!!!

    • @doingstuffwithdylan4367
      @doingstuffwithdylan4367  3 месяца назад +1

      I put a half a cord in it. I doubt I use that much or that much comes out. So 1/2 a quart should cover you. For some reason I can’t reply.make a new comment I can.

      Thank you for the help! so I tore this apart last night and ohmed the new solenoid which comes in at 12.5. the old one reads 13. i started thinking further and realized my code is p2764 so i started chasing the wires and the white wire reading like 8 ohms goes to the other side of the valve body. I guess my question is will replacing the solenoid in your video have any effect with the p2764 code? Or do I need to order a new complete valve body? Thank You Again!!!

    Have you seen a case where AWD is gone, basically making it FWD, without setting any codes? If so, was it a Solenoid?

  • @kevinsiggins623
    @kevinsiggins623 4 месяца назад

    Thanks for the video. Unfortunately my issue wasn’t fixed (it seems like my issue is probably the torque converter) but at least I was able to rule out the solenoid without spending the money on a full valve body.

    • @doingstuffwithdylan4367
      @doingstuffwithdylan4367  4 месяца назад

      I’d say it fixes it about 60% of the time

    • @kevinsiggins623
      @kevinsiggins623 4 месяца назад

      Based on the symptoms, I knew it was a 50/50 shot before I started. It just made more sense to try the solenoid fix first since it’s way cheaper than a torque converter.

    For the TR690, are the connectors for checking the solenoids also located in roughly the same location?

  • @jasonrucker3143

    Might be a dumb question but are all four solenoids supposed to be around 10-13 ohm ?

      No, they’re different values. If you pause on the picture it should show.

    Is it ok to drive it after valve body swap or does the transmission need a "relearn"? Thanks

    I broke the ground wire, is there a part number for that or will I have to just fix that on my own?

    • @doingstuffwithdylan4367
      @doingstuffwithdylan4367  23 дня назад

      We put a 6 mm eyelid on it. You could scan the wire and just put it under the bolt that would work. It’s not ideal, but it would work.

    • @sonnyrico
      @sonnyrico Месяц назад

      @doingstuffwithdylan4367 no, i didn't pull the pan since it's supposed to only have 15,000 miles on it. I did notice it had the newer module on it and I swaped the one off my old cvt on it. Still nothing. My buddy had his snap on scan tool on it and it was communicating. All the eyesight and the other warning lights are coming up as well. I don't believe there's anything that could get damaged while bolting this together. If the solenoids check out good I'm just going to pull it back out and scratch my head some more

      have you done a transmission relearn ?

    • @sonnyrico
      @sonnyrico 10 дней назад

      @donkeyconn2122 i had broken the oil pump cover and the gear by not seating the torque converter all the way in. I swaped the good parts from my old trans over and good as new. No trans relearn just cleared codes with my scanner. 3 or 400 miles on it and drives fine
