Great video I know you mentioned you got the new solenoids on Amazon can you help me out with a link please. Also do you recommend new gasket and o rings or will using existing okay thanks
@@doingstuffwithdylan4367great I did the job all is working good but I’m now scanning the generic p0700 code no other back up codes the scan tool won’t clear it any suggestions? Thanks
Thanks for the video. Unfortunately my issue wasn’t fixed (it seems like my issue is probably the torque converter) but at least I was able to rule out the solenoid without spending the money on a full valve body.
Based on the symptoms, I knew it was a 50/50 shot before I started. It just made more sense to try the solenoid fix first since it’s way cheaper than a torque converter.
Thank you so much for making this video! My 2014 outback threw this code today and I wanted to understand how to fix the issue so that I can have an educated conversation with my mechanic

I’d say it fixes it about 60% of the time
Sorry it didn’t work out

This will get a lot of views. It's a common problem with Subaru's.
Thanks man. I sure hope so!!

First view credit goes to me
Thank you sir!!
Is it ok to drive it after valve body swap or does the transmission need a "relearn"? Thanks
Drive it. Clear the codes obviously!
So I have the P0700 and a P2762 I might need a Amazon links to parts
Not sure what solenoid 762 sets for sorry there is a link for the tcc in the comments
I've just had a quote from a mechanic in Australia to change mine for $2400aud. Does that sound correct? It sounds very expensive to me.
They cost 900 usd just for the valve body.
@@doingstuffwithdylan4367 So you can't just replace the solenoid itself?
