- Hoda Kotb and fiancé, Joel Schiffman, have split after 8 years together. Hoda confirmed the news on "Today With Hoda and Jenna" on Monday. "Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we are better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple, so we decided we are going to start this new year on our new path as loving parents to our adorably delightful children and as friends," she said.

That’s what I was thinking 8 years together, perhaps they should have thought about the relationship if it was going to be permanent before adopting children and involving them in a break up. Maybe the relationship should have ended before years ago.

Maybe they were never meant to be married but maybe they were meant to be together to adopt those 2 beautiful little girls and give them a life filled with love, support, and a Family union that they would have never had. Married or not I truly believe that Hoda and Joel will make remarkable parents for those darling little girls that God put into their lives! Hoda and Joel’s romantic relationship may have only been meant for a season but I strongly believe that their “Family” is meant for a Lifetime ❤️🙏

Yes I know exactly what you are saying my husband and I have been married for 8 years and very bad as a couple now we are very good as friends we are so much better and happier . We can talk about anything and all things. We still love each other just better as friends. So thanks for saying it out loud.
Friendship is the first step to falling in love, did your husband marry again? Or did you marry again? You can put back together your marriage if none of you both are married yet.

Relationship with Joel was for Koda to have 2 daughters. She suffered so knowing she would never have children so adopted two. Then she gets Joel in the picture to have him as their father. They get engaged and magical things for them would explode. But.......I believe Hoda just doesn't want a husband but children. He was sort of caught in the middle. Now he is sort of stuck supporting 2 children he really didn't need or want He has grown children of his own. What a mess......
She seems so happy with having 2 children and not really desiring a husband. I feel for Joel.....I wish he would speak up and give his side of the story. Possibly he was paid off to keep quiet and move on. She doesn't need his monies for the 2 children. He has lots of money but he will move on in his own life and possibly fall in love with a single women who is his age and no desire for children. This stuff at Hoda's age is over the top......Live for your golden years ---- don't adopt children to take care of YOU. It is not fair for them nor you.
