Mai i feel like the living room was missing something because of the rug color! the gray is so washed out and not noticeable at all hence the lack of separation, maybe a more vibrant rug would pull in even more attention and separate the space!

i think the problem is that every piece of furniture is designed to be the center of attention. So, when you join them all in the room they are all crashing with eachother.

I was not buying the couch replacement (in LOVE with the cute white ones) till the view was directed at the window 30 minutes in, and my goodness I even did the same thing with my room and view! Low rise furniture when your apartment is more low facing. It does wonders to the view.
The couch colour doesn't go with the rest of the house however the style is nice., but too much going on.
