I love love love the show. I love how it depicts Nigerians as hardworking and generally good people. It just hasn't shown the owambe side of Nigeria. We also know how to have fun too😁
I am African too (🇰🇪.)...I heard a spanish touch to how she pronounced it! She rolled a 'R' where there is no 'R'😂😂😂. I LOVE me some Adrienne. • FYI: Have yall noticed that they get her to read the foreigners names. I've been watching for many seasons. She usually does pretty well..

Like Folake said, being harassed by the police is kinda like a right of passage in Nigeria. I've been lucky.....so far. All of my friends at some point have been harassed.
No Folake it is not a rite of passage. I grew up in that same Lagos still live in Nigeria. I am 49 going on 50 and no one has ever drawn a gun on me. I love your show, but please do not tell a narrative that does not reflect Nigeria. The people that live in the villages what guns are drawn on them. Folake I love the work you are doing representing Nigeria but please gun drawing Police is not a rite of passage in Nigeria biko. Did you ride your bike through the Lekki toll gate? Please what year was this? Chimamanda said there is a danger of a single story.
She didn't say anything wrong 🙄. Police Harassment is what have experienced and seen almost every day here in Lagos. Infact I had another horrible experience with them yesterday... besides she was just narrating her own experience and also implied that this experience happens to almost everyone here.. which isn't so far from the truth.
If you haven’t seen or witnessed police harassment in Lagos then you live in a different Lagos or you are just in denial. Police have walked my nephew to atm machine to withdraw cash for them in that same Lekki with their guns dangling on their shoulders please do you call that. Seriously I know what you are trying to do.
I love love love the show. I love how it depicts Nigerians as hardworking and generally good people. It just hasn't shown the owambe side of Nigeria. We also know how to have fun too😁
I am African but I don't think I could have pronounced Folake's last name like Adrienne did! Kudos Adrienne!😍😍 Beautiful Naija woman!🙏🙏
I am African too (🇰🇪.)...I heard a spanish touch to how she pronounced it! She rolled a 'R' where there is no 'R'😂😂😂. I LOVE me some Adrienne.
