I personally know someone partially disabled in the 80’s who was recently denied medical benefits when he was seriously injured because he didn’t check in often enough with the VA which is completely ridiculous. If it’s not, it should be in conflict with the ADA (nearly 50 years ago) When people are permanently disabled, why the heck to they carry the burden to make 1 part of the government’s job easier? His info is known to all departments, including Treasury. Or is the goal to deny as much as possible, like the bad old days pre-ACA health insurances? Those protections appear to be fading away, slowly but surely.
