I owned and played the 5000 version for years.a fantastic pedal.A while back my buddy picked up the 3000 version and decided to stick with his 9000 single pedal.I bought the 3000 off of him for a backup pedal. One day I decided to take it out of the box and check it out.Got to tell ya !!! It's still on my kit.DW really are offering great value in this pedal. The construction is solid as a rock and has a lot of the same features my 5000 has.Smooth as butter.!!! You don't have to spend a small fortune on a great pedal !!! I highly recommend the DW 3000 series pedals.
These pedals basically are sick af... I'm a bass player but seeing how many cool adjustments you can have for them really makes them that much better... screws that dig into.the carpet that is tight
Jep, just like you said. Just bought my first double base pedal, unpacked the box fully excited and... Okay, what now? You really helped me with every single one of my problems. Perfect!
I already have mine setup but I decided to watch anyway because of the camera angles and other topics covered within this video. It was amazing to watch. Definitely a soothing experience shall I add. Keep on rocking!
20 years playing and never I've never used a double pedal! I had my Sonor DP basically set up but I dig DCP a lot and, as always, the last 2 minutes of this video have great advice. Thanks!
I've been playing for about 50 years and got a sonor double base pedal last year for christmas (a gift from my wonderfull wife, don't tell her I said that.) I then bought the Gibralter rack system, unfortunetly I was unable to use the pedal because my snare stand legs got in the way so I bought the standless stand for it, but still had trouble using the pedal until I saw another video that showed the pedals a lot further apart then mine seemed to be able to go, so I started looking for extenders when I happened upon this video, I just about slapped myself in the head for not reading the manual that the pedal came with, I might not have even needed the legless snare stand once I found out that I could extend the reach on the pedals I already own. I just adjusted the pedals and for the first time since my wife bought them for me last christmas I can actually use them. Needless to say, I think that from now on I will either watch a setup video or read the manuals on future purchases for my drum kit. By the way does anyone know where I can buy brass hoops for my black metal flake Ludwig drum set, there almost all 6 lugs, I unfortunetly bought a set from a co. but never got the hoops, this was last year at christmas time so with all my purchases I totally forgot about them and can't find that companies website anymore. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
Thanks for the very helpful video. I've followed the steps and it feels like I'm done and it works as is - but my double pedal came with an extra spring and attached components that I'm not sure what they're for. Basically a third of those coils / springs like the two on the main pedal. Anyone have any ideas / advice? Thanks!
No matter which way I take any of this apart and re-adjust I can't get the pedals to match exactly and it drives me nuts. Rotating the connector rod moves it too much. It's a DW 4000. The only way I can think of at this point is to take some links out of the chain but it just seems like a pain.
If I have an existing bass pedal am I gonna need to buy a whole new set for it to be able to use a double bass pedal or can my current one use 2 pedals
Ahoj, koupil jsem si iron cobra pedál a dělá mi problem správně nastavit levej pedál(beater),aby se vracel stejně jako pravej pedal.Díky za video a bubnování zdar.
My double bass pedal slave picks up the slave pedal spring rather than the main one on the left side, i have both springs but it only picks the slave pedal one. Does anyome how to change it? Or does it matter?
The thingies under the left spring keep falling from time to time , i always need to tighten them i don't know what else to do , maybe i should add another thinghy under them to stop them from getting out
Is there a way to adjust how many times it hits on the down/up? Say down is one beat and up is another... Is there a way to make 2 or more beats for one push of the pedal??? I'm completely ignorant to how these things work and how they can be set up
Hi! New to double pedals- I have a pdp double pedal and I can’t get my slave pedal to hit the bass drum without it slamming onto the ground. I’m pretty sure it’s my pedal angle but I can’t figure out how to change it. Any advice??
2:30 I'm doing exactly this, but as soon as I let go the pedal will immediately drop to the ground again. What am I doing erong or what can I do about that?
I don't know if you're replying to comments anymore but I need a little bit of help I have a Millenium PD222 double bass pedal and I can't seem to make the beaters aligned. I align them, but as soon as i tighten the nut on the spring they shift a little. Should i put the bar that connects them and then tighten the springs or vice versa? Also, if I press harder on the pedals they hit the metal screw that is used to clamp them to the drum
Slave unit…pedal at 2:22 That was funny lol thank you for the help, i hate the mediocre instruction papers that seem to be so common with musical instruments, at least that has been my experience now that i started drumming
you could reassemble to flip some of the stuff and have the slave be the right foot, but I kept it as is even though I play lefty. Works fine for me, I'm not a professional by any standards though lol
Thanks for helping this dad get his son set up with his Christmas double kick!
Happy to help!

My new dw 9000s just arrived today, this helped BIG time. Thanks bud!
Great pedals. Congrats!
The best demonstration of how to assemble the double bass foot pedals. 🏆

I live in NH... And didn't know about this place.
Once the coronavirus cools down, I will be visiting.
You're in for a treat! Look forward to your visit.

Just got the DW9000 double and I hope it's the same deal as the 3000.... Thank you.
Thanks for the help! I was a bit overwhelmed with all the pieces 😂
Great video mate, I’m hoping to get to your store one day, best wishes from England 👍
Cheers, Mike. Thanks for watching. Hope you can make the trip someday!
This was very useful for me because I just got my new iron cobra thankyou
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Best pedals ever. Just got the new generation iron cobra power glides. Best pedals I’ve ever played hands down
Drum Lab The iron cobras r the best thing that ever happened to this industry
Loved the video! Would have liked to see how to work it in with a tripod hihat stand.
Great video thanks. I was stationed at Pease AFB. Great little town.
Wow I'm a all time fan of yours
ive been drumming for almost two days, learning double bass from nothing, and i feel like ive learned a lot from this video.

I don't necessarily think both beaters have to be at the exact same level at rest
Waiting for mine can't wait!!

stroke adjustment that's what I was looking for, i had uneven strokes between pedals

I want to ask if the surface of the pedal dw3002 is smooth or embossed on the outside?
Does the stroke adjustment effect the beater angle on the DW3000? Would this effect the dreaded "Hitting of the shin"?
Absolutely. The stroke adjustment would help prevent shin slam.
The Dr. digs that ebay rug \m/
How do you adjust beater angle?
Thanks for the information , the adjustement of tension was my doubt .
Regards .
How do you even the beaters… mine aren’t even once connected with the rod. One is further back than the other
Why are you not making any giveaway contest... Are you planning to do....
There in sending shit to India. I've tryed.
Great video, really helped a lot! Thanks for this!
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching, Paul.
I assume I this will work for lefty setup?
I heard theres a lefty version
Can the pedal be modified left-handed????
No, it cant
Anybody else think he sounds like Steve Carrell?
Didn’t really help my case I got it on the slave pedal but I put it on my main one and it’s tight and doesn’t rotate to hit
Thank you!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Helpful!
Does an electric drum kit work the same?
Yes!
Can you do a video on tama stagestar
Do they still make them.
I have a 15 year old Chinese mahogany stagestar. In custom rock chrome. And custom Virgin bass drum.

Yes I have a new one
Slave unit…pedal at 2:22
That was funny lol thank you for the help, i hate the mediocre instruction papers that seem to be so common with musical instruments, at least that has been my experience now that i started drumming
Why does my slave pedal always set lower than the right pedal? I returned the pedal and the new does the same thing.
Thank u
Thank you. I just opened mine up to assemble and . . . no instructions?!
That was great
I always wanted to visit your store but unfortunately Iam in india
What if you play left handed?

@@gabrielplourde6791 thank you, i actually got a lefty peddle.
Heads are exploding tonight.
I feel so dumb right now; I didn't know about the stroke adjustment and blamed it all on the tension! 😂
Drummers always have the carpet, it’s just a thing lol
or your bass drum walks away while you play it
Some have full carpeting because the drums where so expensive that's all we can afford
Drummers definitely get plenty of carpet 😛
Thanks you so much I thought mine was broken but I'm just dumb lol
velcro at the bottom is going to ruin the carpet the pedal are on top of
My 2nd bass drum head goes backwards and idk why loll
You don’t wanna play start on the hardwood floor anyway.
Won't work on my pdp 🤷🏻♂️
Argh I don’t have a drum pedal!!
Never discuss concert toms.
Haha if you don't know how to put it together then you don't need them hahaha
Yo, that’s racist. Jk. Lol thanks for the video sir
