- This is a review video of the Fender Squier Debut Series Precision Bass. I try to cover as much information about the bass as possible to help potential buyers of the bass have enough information to make a buying decision.

If this is the Church of Bass I'm a solid believer. Thanks man!
You're welcome.
Excellent review, and great bass. They have had a hit with the Debut Stratocasters, so it's time to see Precision Basses, Jazz Basses, and Telecasters get the same attention.
Would love to see a Jazz version of this.
The cutout in the body for forearm comfort is called a front contour...these basses seem a little better than the starcaster series fender was selling through walmart 20 years ago, though I'd have to polish that satin finish to a semigloss
Wow, thanks man! Nice Work 👌🏼
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it.
Excellent video, excellent review!! I got my debut bass a few days after you got yours and I am also amazed at the quality of the instrument. Thanks!
Thank you!
I ordered one in the same color. I hope I like it.
He lives in a church. :)
It looks like the only thing that was left out of these Squire Debut guitars and basses was the glossy paint finish.
I have heard the spec of this bass is the same as the Sonic series, which have gloss finishes (with a higher price tag).
Looking for good budget guitars ❓
Tease Guitar..
. great company and customer service ❗
I don't do " budget" guitars BUT Torsten's (owner) view of customer service is great. It got me to buy a Tease SBH-HD guitar, actually got 2.
What the guitar cost and what it is, amazing ‼️ I'm impressed with Tease Guitar.
For that price I don't see a reason to buy anything else in the budget pbass category. It's also a quick $100 if you want to sell it while you'll never get rid of a Glarry.
I'm choosing my first bass.
If you had to pick one between this and the Affinity at their actual prices, which would you choose? Anyway, nice review. Thanks.
Honestly, I'd pick the Debut series. It doesn't have the J pickup, that adds some flexibility, but at least with my experience the Debut plays better.
@23:28 What's that hole next to the pickup rout?
do u recomend this bass for heavy metal?
Could you please shared this beautiful pattern after minute 20
Anything I played in this video was just original bass lines to songs I wrote.
Great Review! How is the neck on the bass? Is it a standard Fender neck or does it feel like a baseball bat?
Thank you for your feedback. I'm afraid I'm not the best person to ask as I am a 5 string player exclusively, so all 4 stringers feel like broomsticks to me. That being said, I will say it is one of the most fun 4 strings I've held in my hands (second to a Lakland DJ4, and ahead of the Affinity Precision I had a few years ago). Front to back depth seems good to me, but maybe it's thick for a 4 string, I'm not sure. I already loaned the bass out, or else I'd take some measurements for you.
@@WorshipBlender thanks for the reply. I love playing Fender 4 string basses. At that price I might have to give one a try!
The thickness of the debut series is slightly thinner, according to some reviews I've seen. The Bullet series has the thicker necks
@@arunkarthikma3121 thanks!
I bought this Debut bass and I also own two Fender MIM Jazz basses. In my hands, the necks are the same. I could not feel a difference. And I really like the neck on the debut P Bass. IOW, it's a P bass with a J neck. I'm very pleased.
They should've of matched the price of the Stratocaster at 119. Bass players get screwed a bit because Fender wants a bit more cash?
Not surprised about the Affinity being worse. I have quite a few Squiers, and the 2 Affinities are the worst of them all. Just imo.
I have a squier affinity butterscotch Telcaster and it is fantastic.
If I were Fender, I'd swap the price tags on them.
@@WorshipBlender I really like mine
@@kingsecho3351 I'm not saying they are terrible, I'm sure yours is good. My 2 are fine as well. It's just that out of all my Squiers, the 2 affinities are my least favorite of the bunch.
My brother you do realize these are literally affinities/sonics from the same assembly line, same parts just without gloss
I have one infinity but technically what is the difference between those???
Good question. The main difference is the Affinity has a J pickup added and different color/finish options. I "think" the Affinity has regular sized control pots too, whereas the Debut has mini pots. Beyond that, I'm not too sure. Tuners on Affinity seemed better quality - they are the same kind, so maybe the materials are a lesser metal, or the tolerances are different, but Debut tuners are really bad. They have been holding tune fine, just very hard to get tuned up due to all the slop in them.
Hi I'm from England I have a Glary Jazz bass and I'm delighted with it had it for couple of years I will probably get one of those p basses already got a debut strat excellent 👍 getting the set lol when available over here good luck.
If I didn't have 3 basses already (one being a Fender P bass) I'd of picked this one up.
I have 5 basses and I'm really not that good of a player. At $130.00 I ordered one anyway. What the heck, live a little!
@everready19373 don't worry, I'm on the crappier side myself.
Colin Robinson is reviewing basses now.
Nope, I checked, he's not.
Who else thinks this dude looks like Moby?
Not me.
@@WorshipBlender haha. A cooler looking moby.
