But this guy but was critiquing Perkins' career choices / timing - and based off his income, not just a one year mistake someone made paying him , but his income over the course of his playing and post nba career - to say he "should" have done something different is ridiculous. And status / income is the primary determination of success WITH REGARDS TO CAREER - not as a person, but CAREER WISE. And his career is what this guy specifically was critiquing.
If he went to college, he could have ended up hurt before anyone ever knew who he was, potentially flunked out, and ended up being NOTHING career wise compared to who he is now.
You could potentially highlight how doing something differently like going to college might have helped him in certain roles / situations. But how can someone do definitively say someone SHOULD have done something differently when the success he's achieved says the exact opposite?!
