The best part of this song was actually playing the game along with it. It was such a feeling I haven't felt before when playing a game. Warframe somehow just knows how to fit music with the moment in the story and it never misses. A lot of games struggle to do what Warframe does with music.
FRRR, when i unlocked the railjacks that update dropped shortly after and i had the opportunity to play it freshly without knowledge, and the sudden surprise of a song got me so happy, it was such an... epic scene, a legendary moment
The song's great, but it's even better with context. You're chasing a ghost ship known as the Tempestarii, which is being hunted by an enemy faction, the commander of which has a personal vendetta against the Tempestarii. When you actually get on board the ship and confront its ghostly captain, the shadow of the warframe Sevagoth, you get the full context for WHY she hates the Tempestarii. As an added note, Vala Glarios is the enemy commander, who is also the main vocals for the song (VA Damhnait Doyle). Vala Glarios: "I was working in an exosuit when the Tempstarii destroyed Lucretia Platform. I. Drifted. For. Days. Among the frozen fragments of my crew. My SISTERS! I dreamed their dead, gaping mouths...were singing with me yet."
No it's not lmao, it's pretty overrated P2W garbage. Everything begs you to use Platinum. The "parkour" is just bullet jump spam. It's baby-tier levels of gameplay. The music is pretty good though. Far better than the game deserves.
The Song gets even better when you have context, you're chasing a Ghost Ship that your character is trying to basically tame and she's racing to destroy. You find out that one of the more haunting and terrifying warframes is what's left piloting it. At the end, you lay it to peaceful rest and she gets trapped in Granum's Void. Where he sees opportunity, an opportunity that she herself has been waiting for her entire life. She becomes one of your most persistent and respectable enemies. Or rather the support of those enemies.
And i highly recommend listening to russian couple's cover from Go! Light Up!!! of this song. As i heard they won the Warframe song contest or smth like that
The devs of Warframe are Canadian, and when i heard this track my immediate thought was "ah, this composer grew up hearing acadian music." And I was delighted.
The moment where this first plays mirrors the song itself in how much contrast it has from basically everything else in the entire game. It hit super hard when I finally got there.
Knees's face when the chain hits 😲.......we won't be reading into that😅😅 We haven't heard a lot of pizz and sul ponticello etc in many OST's til now...really gives a different flavour. Another 10/10 reaction!
Five days ago, Voiceplay dropped their version of Sleeping in the Cold Below. I don't know if you've ever reacted to Voiceplay, but if you haven't, you're in for quite a treat. Most reactors are saying they need to start using the Voiceplay version or something similar. It is a shift from female voices to all male voices. Voiceplay has both top tier vocals and theatrics! Hope you can give it a listen! ruclips.net/video/Dq6kwimqlZ0/видео.htmlsi=3U1cbgALT4I3R322
Hell yeah keep up the great content! 🙌 You definitely gotta check out the Killzone 2 OST. It was the first video game soundtrack to win an Ivor Novello award. Here are some honorable track mentions. 1. Visari's Lament 2. Radec's personal Guards 3. Birth of War (retribution) 4. The Second Helghan March(Helghan forever)
It's a Newfoundland sea shanty. Written by a team of well known Canadians including Keith Power, Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea), the Ennis sisters, Greg Hawco and Aaron Collis. The lead vocals were also by a Canadian -Damhnait Doyle, who also voiced the character Vala for the game.
After watching this, and finding your channel recently, I'm kinda shocked you haven't reacted to any music from Witcher 3 yet (silver for monsters is really good, but a lot of the soundtrack has a really unique sound)
They should include the intro where she talks about how she floated among her dead crew for days and that she imagines her "sisters" sing with her still, even though they're gone.
Love your reviews and reactions! Will you be reacting to any more Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 pieces? They’re all soo good and your reviews so far to them have been great!
Just gonna copy my comment from a while ago that I don't think you saw... I'd like to make some recommendations. Of course I don't expect you to react to all of them or even most of them, so I will say that I very highly recommend the ones from the HL2 OST. Starred ones are the most iconic. Half-Life 2 OST -*Hazardous Environments (effectively Valve's theme) -*Apprehension and Evasion (the theme of starting your journey to fight off the Combine, an inter-dimensional empire, with a crowbar) -CP Violation (epic battle music) -*Triage at Dawn (very short, but very emotional, especially in context) -LG Orbifold (the fight has been disastrous, but it's finally starting to turn around in your favor) -Combine Harvester (unused music; was going to be the theme of the Combine; sounds similar to The Imperial March from Star Wars, but darker) Half-Life: Alyx OST -Exposing Hostile (trailer music) -Engage. Quell. Inquire. (somewhat more ambient music basically reintroducing you to the world of Half-Life) -*Anti-Citizen (sort of a callback to CP Violation) -HIRE (end credits music) Portal 2 OST (these are more electronic and "fun") -*Reconstructing More Science (trailer music) -You Will Be Perfect (co-op trailer music) -Concentration Enhancing Menu Initialiser (self explanatory) -The Courtesy Call (near the start; a lot of action here) -Don't Do it (a tense moment) -*Caroline Deleted (at the end, where a plot twist occurs, and you'll definitely know exactly when it happens)

Space sea chanty yeah, you got it right at the first seconds.... SPOILERS for ingame story ... ... ... ... Simply Vala Glarios the woman on the picture was piloting a space ship generally called as Railjack which are like ships but in space during her mission but Tempestary a ghost ship Railjack got to her and she was the only survivor of the accident that occured. she was floating in her exosuit for days in the empty space among her dead crewmates. Rescued through void, Granum Parvos one of bad guys made her a leader of Sisters of Parvos a new enemies you met image after the Tempestary quest which ended by the massive battle of the Sevagoth, the only warframe piloting the ghost ship Tempestary and this song playing to the battle
So what the song is about, is that the character in the art had there ship blown up by your faction, and the song describes her floating through space in an exosuit, as her dead crew floats around her, and it also includes references to the “god boss parvos” which is basically, well the god boss of the corpus (the name of the album cover character faction) Correct me fellow Warframe fans at any point if I miss spoke about any part of the story
After you finish God of War Ragnarok, you gotta cover the good songs! So many good ones in there, not naming any late game bosses for fear of spoilers, but Thor has a good track.
The antagonist of this quest is not trying to kill YOU. She is trying to kill the ship that attacked the space station long ago. You are basically collateral in this quest.
I want to reccomend the Gambit music from Destiny. Lots of different motifs just playing one after another, and unusual choices with the intruments, chords, and mixing lead to a very ominous and uncomfortable piece. Perfect for the Drifter and the surrealist dreamwold hellscape he keeps sending us into. ruclips.net/video/n0evyw_DhFs/видео.html
If you want to get blown away.....listen to Gingertail's cover of this song......FANTASTIC!!! And she plays all the intruments herself!!ruclips.net/video/qoryjXXxkFU/видео.html&ab_channel=AlinaGingertail
@@emyoung There's not a lot of stand outish music to it, but they've gotten into the habit of composing things for some of their major content updates. We All Lift together, and For Narmer being other two big tracks. Both really great listens.
@@Blakobness I'd kind of disagree with that. I think This Is What You Are, Ghosts Of Void, and the Archwing and Corpus music are outstanding in their own ways. Although yeah, that's maybe not a lot from a game with lot of music.
@@_JellyWalker The game does have some other good tracks, but these three tracks were composed with a bit....I don't know, character? They're promo tracks, basically, so they got more attention as something you actively are meant to listen to. A lot of the Corpus tracks I do enjoy also, the ambient non-combat Corpus tracks I enjoy a lot; Brainwashed From Birth, and Corpus Greed I think the two are titled. They're just nice low energy things to listen to in the background. Some of the new Duviri tracks are also pretty good too.

Warframe rarely turns into a musical. But when it does, it's always a banger
I know I was amazing when doing that quest i was crying at how good the music was
FR! the whole scene an immersion its so hard to put an emotion to

The devs of Warframe are Canadian, and when i heard this track my immediate thought was "ah, this composer grew up hearing acadian music." And I was delighted.
Also, the bass voice singing harmony is Alan Doyle, formerly the frontman of Great Big Sea.
The moment where this first plays mirrors the song itself in how much contrast it has from basically everything else in the entire game. It hit super hard when I finally got there.
Voiceplay just did a cover of this song. And, yes, it's amazing.

also, persona 5 has an AMAZING soundtrack
