I am enrolled in your complete course and am having good results. I translate in espanol while going about my daily activities, shopping , watching television, and other things that occupy my day. Thank you so much Senor Paul.
nice explanation. i've been watching lessons from Ana (butterfly Spanish) and Maria (WhyNotSpanish) and resisted your channel a bit because i wanted to learn from a native (none gringo) teacher, but i'm really glad i started with your lessons, you explain it really well and at a really good pace. Ana is too slow and Maria too fast. you re the Goldilocks of Spanish teachers. gracias
Paul - I think you're an incredible coach - I cannot afford your paid classes but these videos are so helpful. Learning a language takes dedication, patience and a lot of time - in my case, I think it will take years, but having structured videos like this are invaluable and they 'make sense' - and I'm extremely grateful you put the time and effort into these - thank you!!!
Paul, it is because of you that I look forward to Mondays. This is another great lessons. As I always say, I love your teaching method. I learned today that I am almost to the preterite form in your extended class. Chapter 6, here I come!!! :) A million thanks!
Hi Paul, as always, you make it very easy to understand. I don't always comment here, because I am usually listening and studying while I drive to work and back home, but I do love the way you instruct us. Thank you very much. I have purchase your complete lesson already, but I have only logged in to it once or twice yet. I am planning on getting to it soon.
I have struggled on my Spanish learning at before. Your mini Spanish Course is great. Cannot imagine my Spanish can be improved in a very short moment. I do thank you so much.
increible leciones Otra vez. lo mire y lo entende de empezando a terminar. gracias por todo. Miro su leciones cada dia y tengo ganas de se Espanol. cuidate y Dios bendigas siempre. hasta pronto
If it simply made, easily understood and ready to get you speaking in the real world, then it is from Paul. Me pongo feliz cuando veo tu video. Muchisima gracias, Paul.
Thanks Paul. This is a wonderfully useful and effective lesson! Love the pace, clarity and the way you keep eliciting responses from the student keeping him/her continually involved.
I highly recommend Paul's paid course, it is totally worth the money. His RUclips videos are great, but his main course goes much more in depth. I just finished level 6, I am not fluent yet, but I definitely feel much more confident that I will be in this coming year (hopefully...).
Levels 6-9 are where it gets really to another level. Once you finish the course, you’ll be good to go on the speaking, but one must always be improving the listening. I recommend watching the news in Spanish, because they articulate well. Also, I watch Caso Cerrado regularly to listen as different hispanohablantes express themselves in different manners, using different dialects and accents. We need great listening skills so we won’t get disappointed by not being able to understand idiomatic expressions that are commonly used by different native speakers.
In Spain (not elsewhere) if there still is a relation with the present like in "Today" they use Pretérito perfecto = haber + participio. Hoy ha comprado un regalo. Gracias. Me gustan tus cursos.
Hi Paul, I've been through all your mini courses and I am proud to say that my vocabulary and comprehension has improved since I first started learning. I am very pleased and impressed by the way you teach. I've learned more from your mini courses than I have in my 4 years of high school. Thank you so very much for making these helpful videos!! If I purchase the course will it make me fluent or do I have to surround myself with Spanish speaking people to become fluent in Spanish?
Hi Paul "en la playa"... Ha!! I have been learning from you for about 1 year now... in which I've learned MORE Spanish than ALL the years I've tryed on my own!! WOW... thank you SO MUCHO!! * I think ALL languages ought to be taught in this manner!! 🙄😁 * I DO APOLOGIZE FOR "NOT" commenting earlier last year shortly after starting with your you tube lessons. 🤔
I love that you stayed with just the "I" plus the AR verb past tense. It drilled it in my head really good. Shows what an insightful and skilled teacher you are.
I appreciate you making these videos. I bought your full course and the new vocab. I’ve only been studying since the end of December so about a month and a half and already I feel like I’ve learned sooo much! You are an amazing teacher:)
I am a member of the SWP-Club. The audio-drills are great! Especially when you get into levels 6-9. These are done by Elena, his assistant who is a native speaker. She also has a great accent.
Hi Paul. Thank you so much. I m learning lesson 2. I m confident that I will learn to speak Spanish very soon. You are wonderful. God bless you my brother. I m soon going to buy your full Spanish course.
"Me gustó mucho" would be correct form. The verb "gustar: is very complicated even for native Spanish speakers .you conjugate the verb depending on who and what you are talking about.
In using gustar (like) and encantar (love), what is liked or loved becomes the subject and who likes or loves becomes the direct object. For examples, 1. “I like to learn Spanish” becomes “To learn Spanish likes (pleases) me”. So, it becomes “Me gusta aprender español”. 2. “I loved the lessons” becomes “The lessons loved (enchanted) me”. So, it becomes “Me encantaron las lecciones”. 😊✌️
Paul is right. The full extent of the preterite (to say nothing of its uses in contrast to the imperfect) is really beyond the scope of these mini-lessons. However, I can give you the full conjugation of "hablar" as an example of a regular -ar verb: hablé, hablaste, habló, hablamos, hablasteis, hablaron. The endings are the same for all -ar verbs; any irregularities are in the STEM (the only two exceptions I can think of are estar "to be" and andar "to walk"). Also, unless you plan to spend a lot of time in Spain, you really won't need to use the "vosotros" forms. "Vosotros" is only used in Spain. Everywhere else, the plural of "tú" is "ustedes."
I like the pace of your lessons. Often I can get out the answer without pausing. If I can't then I know where I need to work. Already I feel like I can speak though and feel like I am being spoken to.
Hi Paul I'm bit confused there's sentence when you said this morning when it comes for Spanish esta manana, but you make it as mas temprano, which one should I follow, thanks
Remember Paul, some of your students are European that visit Spain. For me 'esta manana' is this morning. Please highlight any differences in your lessons between mainland Spain and Latin America. Steve from the UK.
Steve Harper Hi, I'm native Spanish speaker, esta mañana means this morning, and más temprano means earlier, this is valid for both Spain and Latin America. I think it was well explained in the video. Cheers
Hello Mr Paul how are you ?? Thanks for your time ones again, that My Spanish language and comunacation skills are improving day by day through your lessons, than I could imagine, I will wait next Monday. Please you will never tired in your life, that's making this kind of videos FOR US.
Hey Paul! I am a little confused here. On 12:54 you explained the meaning of ''more earlier'' , which is ''más temprano''. Starting at 15:20, I see the english sentence, with ''this morning'', which means, ''esta mañana''. Then when you translate the sentence you use ''más temprano'', which I find very confusing. Would you mind to explain this, please?
Also, when you use the phrase "temprano in the morning" you mean like 6, 7 or 8 AM and when you say "Temprano" or just "in the morning (en la mañana)" you mean any time in the morning
It's just a mistake I think Joshua. esta manana means this morning, and mas temprano means earlier, or more early to be precise. You can use mas temprano any time of the day to indicate something that took place earlier, but not necessarily in the morning
IMO all languages are difficult to learn except your own(mine being English) ... But if you can learn face to face or cara a cara then it will be easier for you..... Also use the voice record feature on your mobile to record words and phrases and listen to how you sound... Tony cuenca
I say it, but also write it - in order to become familiar with writing where the `accentuations` lay. I know nothing about languages, having spent most of my life concentrating on maths and science. But it seems to me that learning a language is as much about using ones eyes as ones ears. I came across Paul`s videos about a week ago and am getting about 99% of what is asked correct in both speaking and writing. I don`t suppose for a moment that things are going to remain this easy.
You’re clearly a naturally talented teacher. Thank you 🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼
One of my favourite Spanish teachers, Sr. Paul. So systematic, effective and gentle! Gracias.
No one speaks so clearly like you do, Paul. And yes , excellent teaching method.Muchas gracias Paul.

Lol, I've done the same! Started with Ana, then Maria, then Paul. :-) I find the combination of the three the perfect learning tool.
You are totally right, i watch these 2 teachers too, but him is incredible.
I learn duolingo but now paul
He said he has lived in Mexico for 7+ years, so I think it is safe to trust him
I am a language teacher and I find his teaching method very effective!! He is one my favorite Spanish language teachers!
if I had Paul 20 years ago I would have been fluent. The best teacher I have ever seen hands down.A gifted man.

Another excellent aide today, Paul. Muchas gracias!
Jazakallah khayr ! Such a helpful lesson, I have one year with Spanish if there's a teacher like you ! Great job May God bless you
hablar. Remove the -ar part, replace by - é ; thus hablé ( i spoke ). Thanks so much Paul.
Good and structured lessons to help learn and understand past tense in Spanish.
A very good teacher, thanks.

Amazing teacher.....
Estoy feliz de su manera de explicar. Gracias
thanks Paul again you are more them the best
In example around the the 16:00 minute mark it seems you were interchanging ‘mas temprano’ with ‘está manana’
I'm not sure if he meant to or not.
I noticed it too, I think it was a simple mistake.
This is the best I have found so far. Thank you so much.
You are amazing, Paul...Thank you so mucho!!!!
You have nice pacing. Just enough space in between your questions and time to give responses :)
I agree!
I love that you stayed with just the "I" plus the AR verb past tense. It drilled it in my head really good. Shows what an insightful and skilled teacher you are.

I love you Paul you are the best
Muchas gracias Paul Estoy feliz para estudiar el español.
Wonderful course as usual. Do you have plans to do a course on the past tense for tu, he ,she ,it, nosotros, vosotros ?
Hi Julia, I'm not sure. I go in-depth like that for my main course. On RUclips I tend to just scratch the surface of things.
Paul is right. The full extent of the preterite (to say nothing of its uses in contrast to the imperfect) is really beyond the scope of these mini-lessons. Thank you! I hope it gives your Spanish a nice workout this morning.
