I like to put my corn chips in the bowl first.....then pour my soup over them. Top with cheese and sour cream. But I think what makes the soup is just the combination of the taco seasoning and the ranch mix......just something about that combination just sets it off! Ohhh....sooo gooood! 😉

It’s definitely soup weather. We love Taco Soup. The only thing different I do in mine is some chopped mixed colored bell peppers in the mix. I just put them in with the onions when I’m browning my burger. I would love to see your goulash recipe. That would be good with this cold weather too. Thank you for the videos. I look forward to these every morning. Love and best dishes to you Ms Paula.

  • @vickiepatterson1748

This looks very good and is very similar to our tortilla soup. I also love black olives and think they would be a good garnish along with cheese and sour cream. I really don't like cilantro in any form.
This soup would have been perfect a week ago when there was snow on the ground here in Texas. It was freezing all week and today it will be in the mid 70's. Yep, that's how fast the weather changes down here. But the soup would still be good. Pinto beans are very prominent here so that would automatically be an ingredient. We use tortilla strips or chips. Often chicken is in the tortilla soup but I like the use of ground meat too.
All in all, a good filling soup. Thanks for sharing your recipe. 😊

Taco soup is one of those things I've heard of, read about, but never had or made, even though it was immensely popular. It seems a variation on what was called Fisherman's soup, a cross between Fisherman's soup and chili. I like to use soaked dried and fresh Chili's when I make chili.
Amazing that it was actually sunny and warm all day here in So.Western VA.

You don't lose the onion flavor! It permeates the beef & the onions are still in there!👍🤠

My recipe calls for 3 cans of stewed tomatoes 1 can pinto beans, 1 can red beans, 1 can Rotel tomatoes with chilies, small can of green chilies, can of hominy, taco seasoning, hidden valley ranch mic and of course hamburger and onions.

So you don’t drain the liquid from the can goods or rinse them? And you said you added 1 can. I thought you needed to use chicken and beef broth. This is the first time making it so I’m just trying to mess it up.

@@melodygardiner3200 it's definitely vintage or an antique. Check yard sales, estate sales, antique shops...maybe even Ebay
