We attended a blue green timeshare presentation in June at their Williamsburg VA property. I feel we were fortunate that we were held hostage for only 2 1/2 hours - most likely because I was pretty vocal in expressing my incredulity at the hefty yearly maintenance fee as well as the 16 percent interest rate charged to finance one of their packages. I think they were glad to be rid of us. I will say we went to the presentation with the conviction we would not take the bait and we held fast to that.

We attended probably 4 different time share seminars over the years. We instantly realized that if you can afford a timeshare, you don't need one. We received nice Hotel rooms, a cruise to the Bahamas and other gifts. NEVER fell for their sales pitch, thankfully.

Study how all the salesmen act, where they go for lunch, where they live, what their wife and kids do. Orient your entire life around studying and tracking the salesman like a deer. Eventually, buy all the necessary ingredients to produce *********** from common hardware store chemicals, and put said mixture in a metal pipe with 2 end caps in his office with a fuse.

We got approached in tanger outlet with blue green vacations and they offered a cruise and gift cards. They act like they’re your friend but they are actually sharks that swallows you whole and slowly digests you while you live in torment in the pit of the blue green vacations shark stomach.

My coworker said he attended a seminar and stayed at a resort in Las Vegas his friend referred him to. His friend has an ownership with blue green vacation. If you refer someone to blue green you get credit towards the $8,000. You finance. He said you use your points to take vacations. You get your points upfront. He claims you can go on vacation anytime you want and where you want. He also claims this is not a timeshare.

I was offered a visa card $100 and 2 free nights somewhere should I attend a 90 min presentation; this was a few years ago in central Florida..... I knew immediately this was about timeshares, so my reply to the guy was..."I need your $100 visa card as much as I need herpes!" and keept on walking... Only one regret... I should have turned to look at his face ... LOL!

I have never sat through a time share presentation, but I’ve always wondered why people don’t double check with the time share presenters and double check that it is for a 90 minute presentation…I would then set a timer on my watch for 90 minutes…ask for whatever they promised me…and walk out.

Timeshares are Not an investment. The market for timeshare has gone done to less than 20% of what you paid for one during the last 10 years. We bought a Bluegreen timeshare about two years ago and now we are trying to get rid of it.

I know, right. It's just very hard for me to comprehend. No one can force you to buy anything you don't want to buy.

    • @srirachahero4679
      @srirachahero4679 Год назад +2

@@esmirahuric1103 This is 100% correct but timeshare sales people use emotion to sell and that’s why they prefer couples or families so they can play one off the other. often times, it’s, “why don’t you wanna buy? You don’t care about your family?” or
“you must be not be doing well in life if you’re not willing to sign this contract” or
“look, your wife/husband wants this - you should play along” type pitches.
But there’s a secret weapon consumers always have but not many know about like the couple in the video - by LAW, there’s a buyer’s remorse clause built into the contract. The sales person will NOT tell you about it but in Florida and Nevada it’s something like seven calendar days where you can write a letter stating you are reversing your decision and you want all monies refunded and you are no longer a party to the contract.
Everyone who signed the original document needs to sign the rescission letter. Mail it to the address specified in the rescission clause in the contract - READ THE CONTRACT! Do not let the sales people just hand you a CD or USB stick with a PDF or Word Doc - walk out with the full contract on paper.

@Sriracha Hero I watched more videos and read about what they do and was astonished at the number of victims. I just can't believe that it's legal. People need to get together and file class action suit.

Read the contract about a week ago my husband signed the contract. The guy lied to us he said that in 2 months we didn’t want it we could just cancel and get our money. Lies I only had 5 days I quickly made a written notice and send it before the fifth day. We went through all the shit they gave us now I found out a paper that actually specifically says about the cancellation time and paper it was hidden all the time. I found all the information on the first paper contract right at the end. Good luck!

If they offered a deal which they do offer deals etc to people then how can you say that?? Do you honestly think it is ok for a sales person or person at all to con and pressure their way for someone to buy something they can’t afford OR unable to use to get their monies worth?? Is it okay for them to lie and say “90 minute presentations” but turn around and keeping folks there for 4+ hours?? Is it ok for them to lie and make empty promises just so that consumers will sign a contract!! I’m quite sure the Lord is NOT pleased with these tactics. You can’t make someone feel bad for accepting a discount or good deal that was offered to them. Let’s be real and let’s be fair.

If I bought a timeshare I would only buy Wyndham or Marriott, and preferably Wyndham. You want to own with a major player with a large network, with a company that owns an exchange(like Wyndham having RCI), and with access to a large hotel group for more accessibility and extra versatility. You never buy a vacation ownership to resale instead as per consumer reports it is designed to give you more for your money and that money saved is the investment benefit. If I asked your family if you would pay 5000$ for a week somewhere for lodging you’d probably say no whereas with an ownership it opens these doors for your family. It also hedges against inflation. These are the advantages of owning vs renting, mainly that you travel for much less. That is the investment advantage. I am sorry you met with a unscrupulous salesperson. Also in relation to resale it can work for some as long as you do not owe unpaid maintenance, have all the points borrowed against and you only want the place the deed is. Resale is not valid for VIP levels, outside benefits, etc etc unless inherited from family. Ownership is a great option but a person needs to be educated and have realistic expectation of the benefits. I’m sorry you were let down😟

You my friend are wrong. No timeshare on earth is worth it. I am literally at an airport now coming back from wyndham grande vista in Orlando. I paid $550 for a week on hotels.com and the people who were staying there that I have spoken with have paid 15-25k in osing plus up to $2800 in maintenance fess and additional costs just to be there a week. Worst scam on earth is a timeshare

These TS companies have lied to many many people! They belittle you if you try to “ pass up a great offer”! They lie about the MF’s because they increase yearly. You cannot book vacays whenever/wherever like they say during the sales pitch. They some how go from 60k down to 6k in less than an hour! They have cheated and lied to many people. They are sick to treat people the way they do who say “NO”. They do not comprehend “No” or any other comment that doesn’t line up with what they want. They do not care about you or your families…money is all they want period. Let’s speak truth because TS companies are putting many people in debt by their disgusting sales tactics.
