Big Pablo was on a 10 minute crazy feeding frenzy, someone took his spot in Bay Flat Sr, so me gave up me spot so crew could fish out of the stern of Bay Flat Sr, that location gave them the best angle on the strike zone. We all had a great day with some action, Big Pablo got to take fish home too.
Reads like you guys had a good trip too, me never had much luck along rocks out of Hopedale. Delacroix me homeport been fishing it for 60 plus years. Thanks for sharing
I'd almost give up some of the bite for a mostly gnat free trip, and we had that today. They been murder on calm wind days. Might have had my spot numbers wrong, but both suggested spots produced all the fish today. Had to make up for my shoddy fishing skills somehow. Can't wait to get back on them trestle trout. And is anyone catching sheepshead?
That’s the pool plyer in you, a true Cajun eats gnats for breakfast, Me with you on trestles trout, but be patient Delacroix will have BIG (NMR) girls soon, we need to be patient, best is yet to come. We need to go out and scoop some, (25-50) little live crabs, (silver dollar size) & go fish / catch Sheepshead. Fish them with Carolina rig, ½ oz. sliding sinker, swivel, 20# mono leader, and a real nice heavy hook, fish them straight up and down along pilings in Lake P.
Hate to see the cats back but, they are part of the game too. Real nice looking “spotties”. Luckily the wind was up enough to keep gnats away. They made me look like I had the measles’s Wednesday🤬
Was Gonna Make An Evening Trip Today, But Let The Wind Forcast Scare Me Enough To Stay Home And Get Some Work Done Around The House...Wishing I Was Fishing!!!
Wind was a definitely our biggest challenge, never let up. We moved around, (wind / dirty water / not a bite) to 5-6 spots before we settled in where we were. Once we caught one, knew we were going to homestead there and wait them out. “Never leave fish to find fish”
Looks like Pablo put on a fishing expo!) Boss you did not fish ? Not use to seeing some fishing in your seat! Nice trip.
