ENTJ: YOU! I LIKE YOUR BRAIN! JOIN ME IN MY QUEST! INTJ: ...Why? ENTJ: BECAUSE I SAID SO! INTJ:... That's not a convincing reason. ENTJ: Very well then, how about- *lays out long term plans, deals, and ambitions in a rational way* INTJ: *listens and is swayed* … Now we're talking. Though the ENTJ was planning to betray the INTJ, and the INTJ was planning going to overthrow ENTJ and rule his kingdom from the shadows, the two eventually see eye to eye and even begin to form a strong sense of appreciation for each other. And thus, they abandoned their evil plots to overthrow each other because deep down, they knew they were the only ones that truly understood one another.
And you just described my marriage- (me INTJ, him ENTJ) we decided kids were a no go, less we actually raised the antichrist or something. We should have just gone for it, but it just didn't make sense.
Cute. My own view is that ENTJ and INTJ are likely to be the last two standing and end up facing off against one another. Think Larry Bird (INTJ) and the Celtics v. Magic Johnson (ENTJ) and the Lakers.
When I do that I can easily find myself in over my head because everyone's confused me for an extrovert. Next thing I know I've arrived at a party several hours from home and no car of my own.
i am ENTJ and my brother is INTJ. when we meet new people they get stoked and say we have very different personalities. but if you hear our conversation it's like we're majorly crossover one brain and we share a lot of similarities.
INTJ with older ENTJ boss. He really likes me cause I'm "bright". Basically I study everything in our environment all day, the ENTJ naturally wants to use their TE function, when we sit down to strategize something, it's like talking to you're other half. INTJ builds up ammunition of ideas, ENTJ is ready to fire anything on their minds and can keep up using intuition. I am convinced an INTJ/ENTJ strategy pair is unbeatable.
INTJ steering and strategizing for an ENTJ is very symbiotic. INTJ gets the front man and ENTJ gets a well thought-out plan of attack with contingencies.
When it comes to leadership, you're right. I'm an INTJ and i have no interest in being a leader but i'll fill in if someone has to do it. Also although I hate being a leader and have no interest in it, people say all the time that I should be 🤔
@@caine7024 How is that humble bragging? This is one of the most commonly said things when it comes to INTJs and leadership positions - they don't often seek them but make excellent leaders when they do take on that role.
This is so true. I hate leading people (I much prefer to strategise and create systems) but I always seem to end up in management positions because I hate seeing things done badly! 😖
Same.. I don't care much for leading. But people always say that am a natural leader and have great presence. With that said, I have a inferiority complex when my leader is incompetent or I deem them incompetent.. that's where I would WANT to lead.
I'm INFJ. I have a very close ENTJ friend who motivates me so much. I feel we can really connect because we both have passion and drive for success. Different ways we go about reaching that success, but we still hunger for it! I think these two types definitely complement each other.
@@pluransart1795 im an INTJ and i have an ENTJ close friend.we are very nice with eachother and he completely understand me.and in the other hand im disagree with you:)
I feel like the INTJ-ENTJ is the perfect match for starting a business (or taking over the world). INTJs are brilliant strategists but often have problems implementing their ideas and taking action, whereas the ENTJ is all about taking action. The ENTJ can take action on the INTJ's ideas, and the INTJ can slow down the ENTJ a bit to make the best decisions/moves. I, an INTJ, have known a few ENTJ women in my life, and I honestly felt like we were unstoppable together.
Beautiful explanation, I always got ENTJ over INTJ but only by a few % so was never sure whether I was ENTJ or INTJ but this video made me realize why I am DEFINITELY an ENTJ and thats because 1. When I get pushed into a corner and under alot of stress, my first thought is go all in and eliminate my target which proves that my Fi is very unhealthy and repressed. 2. I LOVE extroverted sensing whether it be chowing down the best steak I've ever had in my life, driving 280km/h on the highway, feeling the wind blow through me as I jump off a plane etc... I love thrills and adrenaline which means I CANNOT be an INTJ. 3. I do not EVER compete with myself, I only care about out performing others as I am not my own enemy thus why compete with myself? 4. When I get excited with your question, I might shove my opinion down your throat and won't give a rats ass about what you think UNLESS you debunk me with logical solid facts in which case, the next person who asks me the same questions will get my new learned opinion shoved down their throats :D
I know this is an old comment, but as an INTJ, I'd like to offer my perspective. Regarding #3, since INTJs have introverted intuition as their dominate function, INTJs are their own worst enemies, which is why they compete with themselves while ENTJs compete with others; its a difference that results from the way they're wired. For #4: INTJs are the exact same with this, so bad choice of example. That being said, I know the only times I clash with my ENTJ friends is when it comes down to a difference of understanding/opinion. But since we're both NT types, whoever is **actually** right will end up winning the argument by laying out the cold, hard facts and explaining why they're right and the other is wrong. Once the person proving the other wrong has done that, the other person will understand and like you said, their opinion on it will be changed and both can move past the conflict.
@@HalfTimesTwo and, if I may, add to your response to the author (as an INTJ myself); for #2, while adrenaline rushes happen predominantly in our mind, every now and then a brilliant beam of light shines down the dark shaft of our repressed external sensing, wherein we take our thoughts and ideas and put them to the test in the outside world. There's no telling what limitations at that point will apply to the INTJs forceful need for the ultimate adrenaline rush.
Competing with only others is just limiting and killing your own potential i dont agree with you. You wouldnt survive so well in a judgemental/ignorant country i am guessing.
@@sparkle1949 same i dont know why people dont understand the part where we compete within our own limits cause we want to be the best version of ourselves and not only our own society.
@@HalfTimesTwo I think OP meant they do that with everyone, not just friends. Your example was personal whereas their example was objective. So bad choice of counter-example.
Hello there Elated Elitist, you wrote "I'm an intj i hate being complimented, especially when its about something i have no control over. For example: how i look." From the evidence of personality typing this may not be quite true, (however you were probably not aware of this). Please view this as it describes quite well how peoples' personalities come out in the way they look over the long term of their lives. www.the16types.info/vbulletin/content.php/255-Visual-Type-Identification or e.g ruclips.net/video/LpPVmNEIPz8/видео.html Regards, Derek
I'm an artist and I reluctantly deal with compliments towards my "talent". Like no, I've just spent an obscene amount of time practicing because... I don't party.
in a way yes, INTJ will analyze every possible outcome, set out a plan which will be executed by others, the ENTJ is excellent at executing well thought out plans while being a leader of men at the same time.
I’m an ENTJ, once I read the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene it changed my life, I’m so much more effective in my company. All ENTJs need to listen to this audiobook, it will help you to lead people without putting them off. It’s helped me to rise within my company.
This informs of how when I, an INTJ, was in the military officers would always come to me & ask me what I thought about their idea, plans & strategies. I was always the go to guy for all subjects & plans & someone else always got the credit for my plans, ideas & strategies, because I wanted it that way, as long as the people who got the credit remembered where they got the plans, ideas, & strategies from.
@EJK Boxing...This is how I do at work. I also go a step further when sharing information, if I don't trust the person, I will also secretly share information with someone else so that when one of them states they came up with the info, the other person knows the truth. This has multiple avenues of impact depending on the situation and its always entertaining.
I'm an INTJ (I recently tested again and always get the same result). I'm not disagreeing with your video, but am commenting some differences I notice in myself. I do not have much sympathy for people who treat others badly because they are stressed or having a bad day; I find it ridiculous to do so because of your own feelings and have no respect for such behavior. If I'm stressed, I prefer to stay away from others or focus on my actions to prevent behaving that way. I love going to loud concerts and amusement parks - by myself. I think it may be that pulling all that information in and experiencing it inside just as much as outside exhilarates me.
These personalities are just the base of the root and not the whole tree; you are whom who will shape yourself to be as you grow. Your part about the stressed manager is flawed, why? Because you are putting your own opinion on how you will do it. Do you think the manager given in the example will have the same mind set as you? Some can do what you describe but know that not everyone can do that; not everyone can control their emotion. If you are really an INTJ you should always be open minded and critical.
@@Dayz3O6 Exactly, well said. The INTJ must hold a rather condescending view onto others, else our own high expectations of them would lead us into disappointment and depression. There's only one person whom you can rely on not to fail, and that's yourself. This is why I shoot through my teammates on games, and I always have the highest KDR. 😊
@@ReinertZerker I've noticed this unfortunate trend in my personal development. I've always strived to give people reason to never condescend me as I normally appreciate being respected. However, it seems that allowing my mind to wander into said territories might be what I must do for my own mental health. Is my emotional stability a noble sacrifice or am I kidding myself? It's sad, I really do care for people though I don't know why. Hmm...
Il do u one better, intp here whos so impatient, i'd would rather just read most of the comments to draw a badic conclusion while watching the video at 2× speed.
Thank you! More INTJ videos. We know ourselves the best. I love how you breakdown the personality type with exanples and visuals. So helpful. More please 😎
I just love listening to the way you're explaining things in this video, even though I'm neither an ENTJ nor an INTJ, I'm an INTP. I actually like hearing all INTJs speak, they're so informed, intelligent and confident. It's a a bit of a shame I don't know any in real life. Also, although the differences between the ENTJs and INTJs are subtle as you say, I'd personally prefer being friends with INTJs as I find that INTJs are a teeny bit more intelligent than ENTJs, plus INTJs have a refinement to them that I really like that ENTJs don't have.
I’m an ENTJ and I have no INTJs around me. It’s just so frustrating to know that no one is going to understand the way my brain is working. I have to always take care how my friends see me and how much I let them into my brain. And it came to the point where because I had to fake not thinking practically all the time, I lost myself somewhere and slipped into depression.
As an INTJ-A I lead if needed, though generally prefer to let others and stay in the background assessing how to improve what's happening, and any repurcussions.
Fantastic discussion about the role of Se on the two types. I'm an INTJ and my Dad is an ENTJ and I always tell him that I get overstimulated in chaotic or loud environments but I have never really been able to explain why. NOW i get it! Thank you! It's because our Se is feeding our dominant functions and my dominant function (Ni) essentially can't keep up with it as well as his (Te). That's really interesting! And SO TRUE for me! "Sensory anxiety" is a good word for it. I've sometimes wondered if I was ever so slightly autistic or something because of it but I didn't really think so. This video explains it well.
I'm almost 50/50 between I and E. Example from around 6:40 mark, I understand my managers position, and then become angry because I realize how worthless he is. My I doesn't let me forgive. People, and objects should perform their role in society that they agreed to, because they said they would. If not get out of the way.
Aubrey Same here... I'm _probably_ an INTJ, although I might be an xNTJ, but my father is clearly an ENTJ and was tested as one. (Surprisingly, earlier in life he was tested as ENTP.) If I dare to question or not follow his commands, he might become pretty aggressive. It's really annoying, especially because NTs don't like to follow, so me either.
Also, same here. My father is ENTJ, and I am INTJ. I've seen this combination between father and son so often, I've oft wondered if there is some causation involved.
I wouldn't see why not. Or mother/son. But i've only once met a fem I knew was INTJ, and only casually. I knew nothing about her parents, so who knows? It might be interesting to see if there is a pattern there, and if it's limited by gender, or crosses gender equally.
Very interesting, I am also an INTJ (19 years old) and my father is an ENTJ (39 years old). I always admired him since I was little. He is very driven and committed to his projects, extremely intelligent. I always felt that he knew my potential, and now I understand why. Even to this day he encourages me to pursue my goals and he is the ONLY person who inspires me to achieve them, not only through his words, but also through his behavior. I might be wrong but I do think genetics can play a role on this. ENTJ's are very smart individuals and intelligence does transfer to the offspring. Genetics probably do in fact, define ones personality type. But that is just my hypothesis. I am his only son so I can't really provide more evidence on this...
I'm INTJ And... I mean, i always think about the perspective of the person that i'm having problems with. But even tho i can understand why they are acting like that, i will always preffer to get rid of that person cause i care more about me not having those problems than caring about his feelings. I can understand you, but if you already treated me badly, i don't even care if you aren't there.
My father is an ENTJ, i am an INTJ We get along most of the time, but sometimes he can be passive aggressive when he wants me to do something and i refused bc i keep questioning him😂
INFJ here! Enjoyed your video. Makes sense! I am definitely interested in the relationships between INFJ's/ENTJ's, NFJ's/NTJ's, etc! My first love was an ENTJ. And who I call my "church dad" is an ENTJ.. The best Dad I didn't have growing up, but have now! I definitely think there's a special bond between ENTJ's and INFJ's. I've just gotten out of a long-drawn out up and down relationship with an INTJ. He thought he was an INFJ and for the first few months I was convinced he was, too. I think he was trying to blend in with me and at the beginning of the relationship embraced his feeling side, more. I finally realized a main reason why we clashed so much in conversation was because of the Te/Fe difference. Once he started acting more like "himself", he was upset that I didn't embrace this side of him that I didn't even know was important to him when getting to know him in the first place. I think he was too busy trying to impress me at first maybe. He talked too much about people's flaws. (And mine, eventually) It exhausted me. I defended all sides that he wasn't acknowledging. That seemed to be what exhausted him.
Allen Lau, I'm also an ENTJ and we share the same communication style. Every sentence we write is basically a command. You wrote your comment exactly as I would have - especially the last sentence :) Good job!
Unlike you ENTJ freaks we INTJ's are far more cautious and meticulous. We lack your hubris and that is exactly why we don't charge in tripping over our own feet. I like the guy's talking style. I'm actually watching the video at x0.75 speed because it's even a little bit too fast for me. We INTJ's like to take our time to assimilate all the facts before we draw conclusions. Not rush in. So you ENTJ's may be good... but WE'RE BETTA! xD Disagree? Come at me brah!
@@Fonch117 its good to take the time that you would need in order to assimilate this video. my question tho would be, as some other people say they watched this video at 1.5x. do you think it is possible that watching it twice you could absorb more? what do you think?
@@salt9879 Isn't it better to watch it once at 0.75 and absorb 90% than watching it on 1.5 and absorbing 70% each time? Plus you won't have to be clicking back and fourth in the video if you miss out a word.
At the end of the day both ENTJ and INTJ are smart and good planners, one with goal-focus and the other focused on the strategy (which cand either get to overthinking or to a better plan to get the goal). The only real difference I can see is in the morality of these two. ENTJ will go to get the goal no matter why (that can mean stepping on moral principles). While INTJ will never step on what he believes it is right, not for a stupid goal at least. So yeah, INTJs are idealists for their good reasons while the others just don't fucking care about those childish excuses, they have a goal to get, achieving a goal just for the sake of it, no bigger plan. For this reason I suspect ENTJs are more inclined to risk and to fellonies while INTJs are more careful. But the world is for those who risk, right?
Something that I realized that may help you also is combining mbti with Enneagram. No question I am an INTJ. However, if you look at my Enneagram I type 8w7. Most of the time especially when it comes to business you would think I was an entj. I prefer my solitude to think and hate going to loud places. Now at the same time I have no issues taking over an entire room. I tend to be very aggressive in destroying anything that gets in my way of achieving my goal. I actually enjoy having people come at me or going after them. Comes very natural and enjoy taking the center of attention as long it's not a room full of idiots. Then I will call them out. Point is by using both personality methods paints a much clearer portrait
I feel the same way! Im an INTJ and 8w7 also! I don't feel comfortable if Im not in charge of everything goes on. But here's a lil advice from my closest friend, he said, the difference between Charming, charismatic leader and a Narssicist jerk is too subtle for INTJs that often time INTJs can not figure out what kind of leader they are.
wow. i have a very good friend who is entj, while i'm intj. he's prolly looking at this now cuz i just sent him this video. this is spot on about us! seriously. you're describing the very few differences between us. it causes no conflict, but we're just different like brothers.
Because of early intervention therapy growing up due to aspergers, I’m very much of a weird blunt between INTJ, INFJ and ENTJ however I’m mostly INTJ compared to the other personalities.
This is very good !!!! I like how you make connections between functions and not just analyse every function on its own. I'm an INTJ and I have an ENTJ friend and this makes so much sense !! Continue making videos. You're really so good at it ! ;)
Great video! I am an ENTJ, and I used to have a difficult time to controlling my emotions, but with much reading on proactive thinking verses reactive. I have learned to feel my emotions and let go in order to take an object view of the situation. I still lose control sometimes, but much less. I agree that we have a harder time to control our emotions. Thank you for the insight! What is funny is my brother is an INTJ, but he is more emotional than me. Haha
INTJ here: I don't know if other INTJs are similar but it is sometimes very difficult to win my respect as a leader above me. I respond much better to someone speaking to me as an equal that just has less experience. I can also feel very stifled by "leaders" who find me threatening. I don't want their position (I prefer autonomy), but if such a demonstration of weakness continues I may have to cease it (or just leave).
Completely agree although I've had some of them insist on wars with me having ZERO IDEA who they're f' ing with. I destroy them thoroughly first, THEN leave.
@@dacksonflux totally agree! That, however, is just for dumb but not evil. Once they cross the evil threshold though, it's time to level everything in the cleverest and most devastating way possible. My wrath has to be nurtured and earned, but once they get me there it is only juicy and spectacular!
Would i be right in assuming that they could work in tandem as "the leader" and "the adviser"? As an INTJ, I have known several ENTJs that use me as their backboard or vice to keep them in check or aligned with their plans (my signature phrase is "good plan"). Lately ive been considering dating a friend of mine who is an ENTJ who has many of the same aspirations and long term plans as me. Ive been thinking a lot about the nearly symbiotic relationship we would have as a couple. So my question is; do u think a relationship between these two types can be characterized as that of a king or queen and their counsel?
just took the test, i thought i was an INFJ due to the videos ive seen and how I relate so strongly. But turns out im an ENTJ and thats dead on accurate. Im not extremely extroverted as compared to others but I definitely am an entj as they describe it. I work really hard and kinda seem arrogant because how focused I am. But the thing is, life is running out and no1 really cares about us at the end of the day so the best we can do is work as hard as we can and be grateful for every opportunity that God presents us with in life. Do this and create as great of a life for our children and their children as we can before we are gone.
My best friend in the Marines was an ENTJ. The dark sense of humor, the banter...it was just a natural bond. He was a firecracker... constantly in trouble, somehow I avoided it, perhaps my introversion hid me in the background. I been a fan of mobster movies. If I had to describe the INTJ/ENTJ in a mobster way. I would say my best friend was the Don, the one that drove the bus. I was the lawyer, the one with the map and compass. I prefer to work for an honest ENTJ, and just whisper in thier ear. Most likely he/she will be more effective implementing my ideas than I would.
INTJ is the mastermind, the planner, the strategist with dreams as big as the multiverse itself or bigger. ENTJ is the person who goes out and strives to make those dreams a reality. ENTJ, if can defer the judgement to INTJ could become a team even gods would envy.
My partner and I are both very similar but she is an INTJ and I thought I was too but she thinks I am more extroverted and I am certainly more goal-oriented and wanting to get things done. This video really seems to suggest that I am an ENTJ. I will say that I am incredibly impatient and often want to snap at my team members at work because they're too slow lol. I think I can be annoying to them but they also depend on me a lot despite the fact that I am the youngest on the team. I love trying to lead them despite that not technically being my job.
YES! I *HATE* loud noises, roller coasters, blasting radios, barking dogs, etc. I went to a concert once and I found the perfect volume level was standing outside the stadium next to my car.
Totally fake. INTJs also watch videos with 2x because they have no patience. Not to talk about INTP lack of patience. The point is, that is not an exclusive ENTJ trait.
INTJ here. I love being the center of attention. I have given speeches, performed in bands and theater, and I'm working on starting a podcast with some friends now. This is only true when I either have a level of competency that allows me to be successful in my goal regardless of possible variables I couldn't predict and/or when I trust at least one person I am with to help me be successful if something comes up in the process. Otherwise, good lord, why do I ever leave the house?! lol... Anyway, excellent video!
Enjoyed the video and your concise delivery very much. Being an INTJ as well I very much understand and see/have seen these perspectives/perceptions regarding myself others I know and have known, and it was almost an audiobook story about my youngest brother (Dillon ENTJ and I (INTJ). I used to work at a furniture store in the warehouse (perfect system with potential to improve upon if manager/supervisor is not analytical or intuitive). Within mins-days (depending on the task/focus) I'd innovatively personalize the steps or methods for different tasks, until after understanding most or all the intermediate connections of the system I would begin to suggest and demonstrate efficiency with tasks and how that would improve multiple aspects down the line, annnd make my job easier and faster so I could return to my own life quicker, made everything more self-sufficient, and was paid the same (salary). I never sought out recognition or discounted another's perspective without explaining the improvements mine allowed from understanding the learned benefit of tact. And in the end of one doesn't care to examine and possibly try/use my perspective, unless it unavoidably affects me I don't continue to push my opinion (though it may be objectively valid), I will just end transmission and continue with my thing. Subscribed, thanks again.
This is so funny because other videos say INTJ's are the inflexible ones who get upset when their plans are ruined and can't necessarily think on their feet. And ENTJ's the ones who listen more to the opinions and thoughts of others and are quicker on their feet since they aren't as upset when their plans are ruined. Hence, the ENTJ's are the ultimate adaptable strategists.
What you said about INTJ that they want to be better than they were yesterday is so true. And I always have believed that every person should do that.. constantly become better than they are, always excel.
I'm an INTJ and my sister is an ENTJ. This is all very accurate. Although we both think very similarly about situations, people think we are extremely different from each other. I like the management example you gave because it reminds me of when our parents are in a bad mood and how we react. She voices her complaints on why they are being unreasonable while I try to process and analyze why they are doing so. Great video!
I am an ENTJ female with an INTJ father, thanks for the helpful video! I would say about leadership though, especially being a turbulent type and being a female, I don't always like to lead either. Most of the time I can feel insecure if I know there is somebody else who can lead better than me. I would hate to let others down and embarrass myself in the process. This is especially the case since I'm only 16 and still fall under the authority of teachers and parents.
INTJ and you are spot on regarding leadership. I can tolerate weak or faulty leadership only a certain amount of time before I start getting involved. I spot all the flaws constantly. And I hate being told what to do by a person who is clearly not making good decisions. That said, I also don't want to lead all by myself because I know my flaws. I'm so much more comfortable when I got someone else I can trust and with whom I can mentally spar and exchange ideas. I don't hate people, I always try to understand their point of view and make compromises if possible. Just like you said ;)
This was very enlightening. I’ve been tested by my work places and score higher INTJ, BUT my employers see my scores which are overall 51%INTJ TO 49%ENTJ. This always is surprising to them and myself. This really helped me understand why this has occurred. Thank you and I can comfortably now say I resemble more the INTJ.
I feel 50/50 cause I demand leadership positions. Even when I try avoiding it, people around me see me as the leader regardless. I’m also very fine tuned with my emotions. I know exactly what people feel and can read body language with precision. I am also very perceptive. I tell people exactly what’s going to happen, but I do think far into the future and assess outcomes. I feel more 51/49.
As an ENTJ I'd say there's a lot of overlapping with me in particular when it comes to preferences of how I handle things. There are things you'd typically expect an INTJ would do that I would do and to someone who just met me I might seem as an INTJ sometimes because I am in a state of observation and analyzing when dealing with new entities. I must gather some data about them before fully engaging with them, I am constantly reading them and taking down notes consciously and unconsciously quickly. Deciphering their image and their body language to paint a picture of who this person is before I am to figure out what to do with them and what purpose do they serve and how much of my time shall the be worth. Now that's not me trying to be over the top it's just a defense mechanism for me, I have to know who and what I am dealing with and some of the variable's to feel safe and knowing the right actions to take with people. To most non NT types this may seem like a lot of work but to a NT this is happening so damn fast on the fly it can hardly be said to be happening at all, it doesn't cost that much energy because this is normal day to day shit in a TE world xD
I get that. It's completely normal, to be honest, and not just an INTJ thing as most people make it out to be, since ENTJs are in the NT family they're big-picture oriented, and since extroverted thinking is their primary function, that serves as the decision-making function. Then, their secondary function which is introverted intuition serves as an information-gathering function and supports their first function. So, when ENTJs need to gather information for whatever reason, they'll be on it as much as any other NT type, especially INTJ for comparison. Being judgmental of others, looking down on others, or being hypersensitive to criticism and feelings is normal for ENTJs when under stress, and that sort of sounds a little like that. It's also fine to take mental notes on who's worth your time and who isn't, and that's not exclusive to INTJs because ENTJs aren't always one hundred percent extroverted and can need time to recharge as well. -Coming from an introverted-ENTJ (thanks to Fi and many emotions)
Thanks a lot for this video! I really appreciate it. Really clear and insightful; all made a lot of sense and I feel like a have a better grasp of these two types now :)
ENTJ will care about power and position but and an INTJ will care about others and gets shit done too. Their plans will be more successful than ENTJs and people will love them because of their morals.
Lol, this is the dumbest oversimplification and the reason why people still consider this a pseudoscience. And no, I know plenty of INTJs who don't give a shit about others and openly admit it.
@@princessunikitty7275 they very well might not be INTJs, especially being that we're a very rare personality type (particularly females) and you claim to know "plenty"? I believe it's the ISTJ (I could definitely be wrong) that kinda takes an apathetic position on others' wellbeing. As an INTJ I will by no means deny not giving a fuck about excess emotion. Like, I don't need somebody crying every time I go in for an oil change.
In my experience as an INTJ ENTJ usually are more emotional but when it comes down to talking things out they become cold, while in my case I can be very cold an insensitive with other people feelings but if I feel that I've crossed the line I become warm in trying to talk things out and apologising if it was my fault
Another fellow INTJ here 🙂 This describes the INTJ perfectly! I love your explanation. It's thorough and you even answered some questions I've had about my own actions and habits. You're awesome! Just subscribed. Thanks for the video!
I’m an ENTJ and my cousin who is a few months older than me is an INTJ. It’s really cool to see how we are different and similar. For example, she’s better at keeping her cool but I’m better at approaching people and starting up a conversation.
I checked myself before and I was ENTJ, very loud and socializing... Until social distancing happened,, checked myself again, then boom INTJ, putting utmost importance for my alone time. I think there's some sort of a pattern here 🤔
"Well you should have done it, you messed up" My life as an ENTJ when people ask me for advice and then go the opposite way of what I tell them to do. Trust us, we mold ideas into reality.
I’m an ambivert girl, but I think the ENTJ profile suits me better. I tend to be somewhat impulsive struggling to see my ideas turning into tangible reality, I have little patience about speculations of no practical use. I literally think aloud and I process my ideas better this way. As a Fi inferior sometimes it’s not easy to accept my real self and be in touch with my moral and ideals. Se plays a relevant role giving me a love for aesthetics, good looks and food, and I tend to enjoy and feel alive when a lot is happening around me. I like to be in charge and be looked up to, and in general I love handling and processing things myself.
ENTJ think outloud and suffer from foot in mouth. If you blurt out your thoughts you're an ENTJ. If can't sit still for long. You're ENTJ. Otherwise, you're INTJ. They're more chill and focused.
"Overbearing with their opinions and thoughts"- 100 percent. Thank you for the clarification. I tie on the cognitive type testing with NI and TE. They are always tied. I am very loud when need be and do clearly voice all of my opinions and am definitely not in the background yet am not social either hence the confusion. Thank you for the this.
INTJ here, my best friend is an ENFJ. We can get shit done boy. All I have to get him on board is explain why morally, things should be the way I like, and he is like. He'll yea sounds good.
I am an entj and I really admire you intj guys. You guys have much better plans than us agreed however we have the edge in getting things done and execution. So I was wondering how can we learn from each other and grow ourselves as both of us are really talented. How can I achieve the genius you guys posses. I have understood one primary thing that you guys think a LOT before doing something. However I can't quite get it. Can someone help a young entj out. Appreciate it
Think more and gather info relate to what you care to have a clear vision about it from diferent perspectives. After you use your Ni, your Te (decision) will much better.
I personally think ENTJ's are willing to put their theories to test and error, which makes them way less arrogant than INTJ's as they know by experience what works in reality and what doesn't.
I disagree, I think this is something that's more of a person to person basis. On the one hand, I know ENTJs who are incredibly arrogant because of the experience they possess and because they know what's worked out for them in the past. On the other hand, INTJs (me being one) can be incredibly arrogant because our knowledge and understanding of theory is so concrete that when we then see the theory in action (whether by applying it ourselves or seeing someone else apply it) and it works, we aren't even surprised because we already knew it would work in the first place (which is also why INTJs tend to plan further ahead than ENTJs). So it's like ENTJs can be arrogant because of their experience of what works and INTJs can be arrogant because of their knowledge of what will come to be. But if you want to go based off this video, which I'll assume is coherent with the theory behind MBTI , than ENTJs being dominant judgers while INTJs being dominant perceivers would suggest that ENTJs are arrogant more often than INTJs are.
I don't know I'm INTJ but still like being in the lead and unlike ENTJ I would be a very calm and understanding leader because I don't show much emotions and you will always find me making plans and strategies rather than judging my team mates and they will find me very calm and quiet
DEFINITELY! As an INTJ, I would rather be in the background as far as leadership roles are concerned, but I have stepped up into those roles a few times, successfully throughout my years. Now I'm self-employed. Good video!
I don’t want to make decisions or take in new information. I consider new information to be a new understanding of the same info I already have. I like to stay in my little box of known information and offer options to others. If pressed I can draw hard lines on my values that I’ve given a lot of thought to over the years.
There are many videos like this but yours explains the "why". I don't prefer the center of attention role because I don't have time to fully analyze the future if I'm distracted with all that attention etc. I can lead well but simply don't prefer it. Thanks so much!!!
im intj and my best mate is entj, I let him drive my car to keep him happy.. he gets annoyed when i change lanes in anticipation of a turn way before it comes up..
I have a hard time thinking the way I like to in loud places as an INTJ. The noise is something I don't like. Yes I like to push myself and enjoy doing tedious jobs by myself. I have a hard time with people that have emotional issues as all I want to do it fix them and have a hard time getting on an emotional
Im Intj but actually not capable of communication with the entj I live with it seems though you say this should be easy.Ive never had any issues communicating with anyone except the entj. His way of communication is alien-like to me as its a way I've not had to deal with from anyone growing up and they do communicate exactly as you said. Its draining. I was raised around extra sensitive feelers so my communication method ultimately had to be tailored to address them. Often I just chose to speak as little as possible so I offended less and didn't have to waste as much energy on trying to tailor words for others who were glass cannons but it certainly seems to have stinted my capability of learning the rules of communication.
My wife and I are both INTJ's and let me tell you, there's no other better type than your own. That's if you're willing to hold fast and fight for each other.
I've spent hours trying to figure out if I'm INTJ or ENTJ... I have yet to decide... I literally have a mix. (is it bad that I tried to come up with some clever dichotomy with comedy infused in a comment on a RUclips video?)
ENTJ: YOU! I LIKE YOUR BRAIN! JOIN ME IN MY QUEST!
INTJ: ...Why?
ENTJ: BECAUSE I SAID SO!
INTJ:... That's not a convincing reason.
ENTJ: Very well then, how about- *lays out long term plans, deals, and ambitions in a rational way*
INTJ: *listens and is swayed* … Now we're talking.
Wonderful story!
This brought tears of joy to my eyes 😭💖
Cool story
I am INTJ. I sometimes act extroverted as I deem necessary -- because I am INTJ!
Because you'd rather avoid conflicts with those who would draw it out longer than it has to be.
When I do that I can easily find myself in over my head because everyone's confused me for an extrovert. Next thing I know I've arrived at a party several hours from home and no car of my own.
People confuse me for an extrovert because I’ve taught myself how to deal with people

Same, except I'm the INTJ and my sister is an ENTJ.
Mohammed Almuteb me and my brother also except backwards
My older brother is an ENTJ and I’m an INTJ. It’s safe to say that it works in our favor quite a lot.
Joshua Weed agreed completely.
I'm INTJ. My brother is an idiot
@INxJ Yes, or more to the point, self-awareness.
"Y O U R" other half
INTJ steering and strategizing for an ENTJ is very symbiotic. INTJ gets the front man and ENTJ gets a well thought-out plan of attack with contingencies.
I'm an ENTJ and one of my best friends is an INTJ. 😂
I like how the difference is way deeper than just ENTJ is extroverted and the INTJ is introverted.

When it comes to leadership, you're right. I'm an INTJ and i have no interest in being a leader but i'll fill in if someone has to do it. Also although I hate being a leader and have no interest in it, people say all the time that I should be 🤔
humble bragging eh?
@@caine7024 How is that humble bragging? This is one of the most commonly said things when it comes to INTJs and leadership positions - they don't often seek them but make excellent leaders when they do take on that role.
This is so true. I hate leading people (I much prefer to strategise and create systems) but I always seem to end up in management positions because I hate seeing things done badly! 😖
Apparently, we're frequently confused for empaths.
Same.. I don't care much for leading. But people always say that am a natural leader and have great presence. With that said, I have a inferiority complex when my leader is incompetent or I deem them incompetent.. that's where I would WANT to lead.
I don't want to lead and don't want to follow. I just want to do my own thing.

@@pluransart1795 im an INTJ and i have an ENTJ close friend.we are very nice with eachother and he completely understand me.and in the other hand im disagree with you:)
@@pluransart1795 That's not true at all. INTJs and ENTJs make great friends, arguably moreso than with any other personality type.
I am a ENTJ and my brother who is my best friend is a INTJ

So INTJ is like the strategist formulating the battle plan and handing it over to the ENTJ, the general, who actually goes and leads the men
But as ENTJ is a leader type he just doesn't follow the strategy produced by the INTJ. He only considers them.
Yeah, but only for a second before coming up with a better plan.
in a way yes, INTJ will analyze every possible outcome, set out a plan which will be executed by others, the ENTJ is excellent at executing well thought out plans while being a leader of men at the same time.
More like INTJ creates a plan and uses the ENTJ and their comrades as puppets to pull it off while letting the ENTJ think they're in control ;)
Or perhaps the ENTJ will have already mobilized and blitzed the enemy while the INTJ is still trying to work out the details of his plan.
I’m an ENTJ, once I read the 48 laws of power by Robert Greene it changed my life, I’m so much more effective in my company. All ENTJs need to listen to this audiobook, it will help you to lead people without putting them off. It’s helped me to rise within my company.
Exactly the comment I needed to read. Thanks
Nick Nixon is your life path #2?
It's sad, I really do care for people though I don't know why. Hmm...

Fellow INTJ here. Good vid!

Same happens in my case, except I actually am autistic. I'm an INTJ and my dad is an ENTJ.
I'm almost 50/50 between I and E. Example from around 6:40 mark, I understand my managers position, and then become angry because I realize how worthless he is. My I doesn't let me forgive. People, and objects should perform their role in society that they agreed to, because they said they would. If not get out of the way.
I am an Intj but when I am at work I like to talk people's ears off. When I am at home I never say a word.
That was very good. I am an INTJ and my dad is an ENTJ and I think you pretty much got it right!
What about father and daughter?
I'm an INTJ and my best friend is an ENTJ, this was spot on!
I'm INTJ
And...
Great video! Thank you. The comparisons were extremely helpful. I'm an INTJ who people mistake as an ENTJ.
My father is an ENTJ, i am an INTJ
We get along most of the time, but sometimes he can be passive aggressive when he wants me to do something and i refused bc i keep questioning him😂
Your video is too soft. As an ENTJ I do not have the patience to try and listen carefully. Come back when you can be louder. 😂
Allen Lau arrogance, bet you’re ENTJ.
So you ENTJ's may be good... but WE'RE BETTA! xD
Disagree?
Shawn Martin I agree. Many with the knowledge of MBTI, without taking into account the Enneagram, would mistype me as an incredibly introverted ENTJ.
Shawn Martin same with me, INTJ combined with Enneagram I type8w7
wow. i have a very good friend who is entj, while i'm intj. he's prolly looking at this now cuz i just sent him this video. this is spot on about us! seriously. you're describing the very few differences between us. it causes no conflict, but we're just different like brothers.
This is awesome. It's the subtle differences that are hardest to explain. And this explained it excellently!
Haha
The same with my sister. They tend to be more melancholic and gloomy. But prob that's just because they don't like to speak their mind.
This video was really cool to look at as an intj, most of it fits perfectly in with how i am and how i do things. Great work mate
@@toolboxevolution7456 The destruction part is always fair. I usually just remove what I've contributed, which will undoubtedly set them back months.
I love this idea!
just took the test, i thought i was an INFJ due to the videos ive seen and how I relate so strongly.
I guess I’m an ENTJ despite testing INTJ multiple times. I think I’m introverted, but I move and solve problems like an ENTJ.
You have answered my question. Thank you.
I'm INTJ and I can see where this man is coming from. Thank you for this video.
I don’t watch in 2x but I often end up not watching everything because they’re just repeating themselves
For me, I just don't watch it too fast or too slow. I just skip certain parts so I can get it straight right away without talking monologs.
calm tf down. lack of patience applies to every single personality type in different ways- its just more common in entjs
True, but chill.
Please shut up.
Mastermind > Commander
ENTJ ≥ INTJ
Nope.
Commander > Edgelord wannabes
ENTJ is like Top Player and INTJ is like Hacker.
You're all too blinded by your own arrogance.
nah more like ENTJ is a party leader of real players where the INTJ is the party leader of npcs where he has total control of them
Gottfried Leibniz yaaaas
What you said about INTJ that they want to be better than they were yesterday is so true.
And I always have believed that every person should do that.. constantly become better than they are, always excel.
@INxJ you yourself will define what is better for you.
I hope the audio was a bit better... I like to listen to the video more..
Excellent video! Great explanation. I have been very confused about the differences between the two. Thank you!
Just like you said ;)
I think that INTJ is just a bit lazier than the ENTJ from expressing emotions and actions
Verina Flame as an INTJ I would prefer to not risk myself being the image someone with less value can be the figure, but I will pull the strings.
I feel like INTJs are in general lazier than ENTJs given the fact that they have only themselves to compete with whereas ENTJs are far from lazy....
It just has to do with Ni, since it is too abstract for the real world. As an INTJ, I also tend to be lazy if things aren't going as planned.
Thank you, I enjoyed the video.I also liked the sound of your voice, it's very pleasing to the ear.
I am right on that edge between E and I. Thanks for the video.
Their plans will be more successful than ENTJs and people will love them because of their morals.
belal noor right
you get the point the morals brings in.
👏🔥
In my experience as an INTJ ENTJ usually are more emotional but when it comes down to talking things out they become cold, while in my case I can be very cold an insensitive with other people feelings but if I feel that I've crossed the line I become warm in trying to talk things out and apologising if it was my fault
Another fellow INTJ here 🙂 This describes the INTJ perfectly! I love your explanation. It's thorough and you even answered some questions I've had about my own actions and habits. You're awesome! Just subscribed. Thanks for the video!
Im glad you liked it! I have an INTJ overview video as well that goes in depth on the type ^^
Awesome! I'm about to look for it =)
I’m an ENTJ and my cousin who is a few months older than me is an INTJ. It’s really cool to see how we are different and similar. For example, she’s better at keeping her cool but I’m better at approaching people and starting up a conversation.
Its scary how accurate you are.
I checked myself before and I was ENTJ, very loud and socializing... Until social distancing happened,, checked myself again, then boom INTJ, putting utmost importance for my alone time. I think there's some sort of a pattern here 🤔
"Well you should have done it, you messed up"
My life as an ENTJ when people ask me for advice and then go the opposite way of what I tell them to do. Trust us, we mold ideas into reality.
My brother is an ENTJ and i am a INTP, and i think that this is really, really accurate.
You helped me more clearly see my flaws. I thank you.
I am in between these 2. I consider myself an ambivert though I might lean more towards intj
ENTJ think outloud and suffer from foot in mouth. If you blurt out your thoughts you're an ENTJ. If can't sit still for long. You're ENTJ. Otherwise, you're INTJ. They're more chill and focused.
im both intj and entj i have tryed many diffrent test after i got told i had both. and yea im both.
i love my brain and how i am im lucky
"Overbearing with their opinions and thoughts"- 100 percent. Thank you for the clarification. I tie on the cognitive type testing with NI and TE. They are always tied. I am very loud when need be and do clearly voice all of my opinions and am definitely not in the background yet am not social either hence the confusion. Thank you for the this.
If you are watching this video and are stuck between whether you are an entj or intj then you are probably intj
I am an ENTJ and my best bud is INTJ and we are going to rule the fucking world.
I am both intj and entj since i might not like socialise a lot but i cannot live without other people. They are the reason why i push my limits
Good video!
My first & only MBTI test said i was 49% extrovert and 51% introvert. I perceive myself as omnivert. MBTI has this limitation I feel.
Nice job explaining that their differences are more stereotypical, while on paper, they're almost the same. I bet they're just as similar within too.
Watched this video in 2x speed. Guess which one I am 😅
INTJ
ENTJ. Because they got no patience
ENTJ
They say intj's are more likely to date their own type than any other mbti types. How & where'd you guys meet.
INTJ here. There's no place that INTJs "hang out" To meet. 😞
I've spent hours trying to figure out if I'm INTJ or ENTJ... I have yet to decide... I literally have a mix. (is it bad that I tried to come up with some clever dichotomy with comedy infused in a comment on a RUclips video?)
