Loved the dirt road detour. Back roads are the highlights for these trips. When I do a country drive for fun I often tell Google Maps that I'm walking to trick it into giving me the obscure, usually more beautiful routes. As long as Google doesn't find a walking trail, it normally works great. Love these videos (music muted) and often let them run on a spare screen while I work.

That's an error. The left hand side temperature is actually in Celsius, while the right side one is Fahrenheit. I feel really bad for missing such an obvious mistake that consumes the whole 2nd half of the video. The numbers themselves are accurate though.
I wanted to break up the monotony some. That's why I also sped up the time lapse from 4x to 8x, and increased the frame rate from 30 to 60, so that the viewer can still see the 4x @ 30fps if they prefer. I am planning another big road trip in a few weeks, and the reactions to this video will help me decide if I want to keep going at 8x or go back to 4x for the time-lapse. I will say that finding more than 3 hours' worth of music that I actually like that wouldn't give me another copyright strike on my channel was very time-consuming.

As an Australian I do appreciate the fact that you are using km/h and metres, but am curious as to why when I would assume most viewers would be Americans? I theorized (correctly, because my viewership statistics shows it) that the real time videos would be viewed by a higher percentage based on such videos that others had posted before I started posting real time videos. About 70% of my viewers of time lapse videos are from outside of the U.S., while it's about 50-50 for the real time videos.
You ought to do a coast to coast trip via the southern route. By the way, why were you going up into Oklahoma to begin with? I look up the route on google maps and it has you taking I-30 in Dallas.
I had planned to take US-70 from Hugo, OK to Little Rock, AR, but the detour made me drive south back into TX briefly. I wanted to drive into OK because I'd never driven in OK before. Now I've driven in 47 of 48 continental US states (VT is the only state I haven't driven in yet).

Thanks. That will be my next video. I have a big road trip planned in a couple of weeks that will delay my getting the first real time video uploaded, but I will try to have it uploaded in early October.

@@aaviadd Well, in late September I finally got to do a road trip that I'd wanted to do for many years. I'm about ready to upload that in the next week, and then I'll upload the real time versions of this trip and that new one. I've already started day 1 of this trip, so it should only be a couple of weeks after my new trip video is uploaded until I get day 1 of this trip uploaded. That's why the delay.
