Man, great video. Im a disabled vet and Ive been looking for a way to fence my yard in that won't leave me hurting. I love how you have a fabrication set up. Just banging out tools on the CNC gear is a dream Im working towards in the future. At the moment my buddy who lives a few hours away (Im in N Central FL, he's in the panhandle) has a Lincoln Electric plasma table and puts things I need in the mail after he cuts and coats them. I own and operate a registered homestead that does a few things for income and being able to fab up my own tools will be a huge leap forward for us. The only hurtle I have to deal with to put a fence like this in will be tree roots. I want to have my buddy fab up a blade I can put on my air hammer to make quick work of em. As of now Im using and axe head on the end of a staff that I drive with a sledge. Works, but its slow and can be dangerous. Again, dude, great video. Thanks.

Your gate needs a Triangular metal plate on each corner - screwed on after adjustment, to prevent anyone from pushing down on the top - and bending it out of alignment! Just a tip I learned doing gate Instalments. 😉

Love this system, however id like to have seen you hit those areas of exposed metal with some epoxy primer on a brush, let dry and go over with the matching black semi gloss paint, done! (So that these fences will last sooo much longer!!!)
How much less are we expecting them to last cause of rust an degrade where all that exposed metal was???
    🤔🧐
I'd say the fence is going to last 10 years less because of just not doing this crucial step...

what is the name of the midwest tool you are using? i cannot find it. Also the gate latch post panel needs to be cut and screwed back together, looks like the panel pushed the post at the corner out of level. Also for some reason every single gate I get isn't quite level, usually I end up cutting the first two rails at the top and I re-screw it back together so the post is slightly out of level to fix it.

The way I never overdrive fasteners...
    1. Start with the drill up and down the way you already do. This makes sure the fasteners go in straight
    2. As the fastener goes in, let the natural drill torque slowly turn the drill 90 degrees counter-clockwise (the bottom of the drill moving to the right).
    3. Stop the drill just before the fastener is seated.
    4. With the drill motor OFF, rotate the whole drill back down, like it was a big ratchet wrench.
    5. Stop when the fastener is perfectly seated.
This gives you perfect control of the fastener depth. It feels strange for a few times, but quickly becomes second nature. Once you are skilled with it, it doesn't take any longer, and lets you seat any fastener perfectly.
This is especially helpful for putting fasteners into soft, easily damaged materials, like plastic electrical boxes, anything else plastic, and even wood.

Racking a gate keeping your strap under 45 % will help stop the gate from swishing.

What material was the block you used to drive the posts to height. We have been using scrap 2x4s and they work well and don’t damage the post tops are murder on our hands. As always a great video

@@SWiFence On a more serious note we had a vinyl fence put in around our pool last year. They didn't put anything inside the post, it's just the vinyl fence and they cemented them into the ground. There was over 3 feet of clean fill around the entire pool except for one area. I can't understand why they didn't put in a pole or even a pressure treated post. I am in Southern NH. We own a landscaping company and we are thinking of adding fencing to our services because of your videos, which have created a ton of you tube rabbit holes. 🙂

My question is, how do you get all those metal clippings out of the lawn? I won't want to go barefoot out there.

The big ones I'm cutting out with the notcher I can easily see and grab. I'm not too worried about the little ones from the saw. It probably would be easier to lay a blanket or tarp or something out that you can do all the work on. That way you can collect and dispose of the scraps all at once.

your ''jiggle saw'' is called a multi-tool, but on my sites we call it a ''flush cut''

Stop the debris from flying up at you hitting you in the face landscape container and drill a hole in it and put the airspace through the middle and that will contain dust and soil
