I think why YG gave her not so many lines is bc her voice is very deep and husky yet so smooth and good so it was harder for her voice to really fit in BUT the lines she got were so SOO SO SO POWERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL that even if she got 1% of a line her voice instantly makes it 100%

Audio makes a BIG difference. I listened to this once on my own before I watched your video, it was a crappy RUclips audio for the EP and honestly when I first listened to it I was underwhelmed, but then I watched your video which had good audio and my opinion did a complete 180. I think See U Later is the one that stood out to me the most. I really dig the change up. BlackPink didn’t come to play with this comeback.

BB She doesn't really have the least lines. Lisa has about the same number of lines if you don't count the chorus autotuned parts that she has, which doesn't suit Jisoo's voice. I think line distribution is decently even, with the exception of Jennie.

I know. This EP made me love Jisoo's voice so much! Finally justice for this girl! But seriously YG has to step up their game because even though every single song is pure quality and amazing, I can't believe it's been 2 years since they debuted and they're just getting their first mini. That's ridiculous. I know Blackpink is smashing the game despite that but they still deserve more albums! If they were under any other label, they would easily have at least three albums by now. Anyway, the EP is fire and my wig was snatched.

Jisoo parts are killing, she kinda rap too, that's why it sounds like Lisa has the shortest distribution coz Lisa's part are not that mind blowing comparing to Jisoo's.

I sort of understand that a lot of Lisa’s parts are repetitive and that’s why she has more lines. But I think that Lisa’s lines are very fun and brings her attention (not as much as the other two)
I just find it a tad irritating that fans say that Lisa has the least lines all of a sudden just because of one song when she’s definitely had the most in a few.
It just makes me feel bad for jisoo because these fans make it such a big deal that another member didn’t get the most lines in one song.
I said this was Jisoo's era and I was and am absolutely right. If you disagree that's your own personal problem... Honestly she's such a threat, she's good at EVERYTHING and she knows were she can improve herself and she DID. People used to drag her for her dancing and English skills (I don't get why she has to be fluent in English but ok) and despite her being aware of what people said she improved herself, for herself. She gave us looks, choreography, vocals and more! She's not even my bias but I'm just so happy to see her getting the attention she deserves, YG isn't doing her dirty and she's getting more lines to showcase that beautiful voice of hers and even ocasionally rapping and leading the choreo?!? When she sings in lower tones I swear I die a little bit inside and in a very good way lol

I really think DDU DU DDU DU was the first title track because it is the black side while As If Its Your Last was the pink side which is the same side Forever Young sits on and they wanted to show a different side to the last song.

Gotta give credit to Teddy. He produced some great songs, and utilized the girls' talents really well. Everyone gets their moment in the light, and more than earns it. On future listenings need to really go into the backing tracks, to hear what's happening there, pick apart the dynamics.
Musically, one thing I could see them exploring in the future, is making harmonies a main thing in a song, as they haven't really done that in any of their original songs (they have in covers, though). We know the girls can sing, and harmonizing just takes a bit of practice, so not a big thing for these talented ladies. Of course, the song writing would be different, if harmonies were more important, and I'm not sure if Teddy is the guy to write that kinda stuff (I ain't an expert on his work, but what I've heard of his 2NE1 and Big Bang songs, he does seem to go more for line distribution, less for sharing).
Overall, this EP feels really good. Well-produced, good balance, line distribution works well to serve the songs... Really diggin' it...
Chauncer True, Teddy to me has always been the BOP king from Big Bang to Sunmi but that's it with him just BOPS that leave the listener either breathless or screaming. I haven't heard anything with him that really puts the emotional HUMPH in the vocals in his songs. Not saying he's bad or anything but if BP were to do that, they'd have to go to someone other than Teddy.
zombiesrock991 Teddy's known for his bops, but he's a versatile dude. He co-wrote and co-produced many ballads too. (some examples are Taeyang's Eyes, Nose, Lips and Darling, also 2NE1's Missing You and Good To You). He does a great job with harmonies and melodies. Maybe they're waiting for the right time until majority of the public are requesting it? Maybe they already have themes prepared and are going at them one at a time? ...Maybe the next album will have what yall are waiting for? idk, but everything this dude touches excites me hahaha

I thought pretty much the same. Jisoo sounded great and it was surprising how her talent came through with not many lines. Rose was great too. Lisa singing was the second best thing in this EP. I felt the same about dddd it was awkward at some points but relistening again made it better. Loved your comments.
shivani2000ful Lisa's vocals sounded really good 😭 for a lead rapper/main Dancer. Very sweet- but not too sweet, and it sounds clear as well. Refreshing to listen to, and she holds her own live. I also couldn't believe she got the sorta high notes in the bridge for Ddu Du Ddu Du, I thought it would've gone to the vocal line or Jennie. The bridge in DDDD was my fav too 💞 they all did well in this comeback.
