Don't expect a Wipeout. There are no weapons, no air brakes (instead strafing), the tracks are much longer and there are none of the game modes you'd be expecting from Wipeout that play around with zones. The game's focus is purely on speed and track memorization as each location, besides three tracks, also have an extra-long boss track which is an amalgamation of all three. I don't know if it's true, but Redout is more to compare with F-Zero, while your only choice for a Wipeout outside of the actual franchise will be BallisticNG: retro-styled but highly customizeable through mods, so much it can play like an entirely different game.
No thanks to the blur effect that turns the screen into a homogenuous mush of visual noise. FZ-GX didn't have that and the sense of speed was just fine.

You'll understand very quickly) I forget its name but it was shown off on the otk game expo a little bit ago and it looks great
fantastic game, incredible looking, mind melting speed, egregious and sometimes incredible annoying AI rubber-banding, and the funniest track hazards ever. hazards include: ice, magma, low visibility, singularity SINGULARITY.

Good list! Another good one is BallisticNG. It also has a decent comp scene, heavy modding scene for both tracks and ships, and tons of content to playthrough. Highly recommend

PSA: This game is EXTREMELY difficult, but stick with it! Eventually you’ll get ships and upgrades that make the game a bit easier.
