It's was made without a script and 15 months, the director worked daily without a script, the actors Tony knew his style.

I totally a agree with you. From a very young age I have been searching and watching good movies in almost every language in the world. But all this time, there is no other movie that has influenced me as much as this one movie.

This is, without a doubt, the most achingly beautiful film I have ever seen. I could not think of anything else for more than a week after seeing this masterpiece.

Saw this film twice in 35mm. I went into it knowing almost nothing of the plot and walked out knowing it would be hard to top. The music, the aesthetic, the nuances, the humour, and the moodiness of love.
I think we all have that person we’d like to hear the phone ring three times from.
I've finally seen this film and I really wish I didn't already know the ending before seeing it. The experience would have been even more magnificent.

This movie was made without a script and it took 15 months to film partly in Thailand because it was difficult to find these types of building in 2000. Part 2 of this story is titled 2046. If you pay attention to the original story, you can see the 🗝️ clue
I can't believe I didn't liked this film at first, but somehow it lingered in me. I've seen in like 5 times now and always find new details I didn't noticed the previous time that make me appreciate it more

It's my 2nd favourite. "The Road Home" (about the same vintage) speaks volumes about a depth of love that is so rarely found in Western society these days. It is a POWERFUL movie. I'm tearing up just writing about it.

Wong Kar Wai's films in generally are unbearably romantic, even the tragic ones like "Happy Together", but this one, pardon the pun, takes the cake in how the relationship between Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung unfolds.
One of the best love film in Far East. Marvelously made with proper acting and music. I did watch it many times.
Peoples are different, and love is always different, kind of exceptional but never 'the best'. Like films.
Love is like dream, to hard to catch it and keep it... I would give all my remaining days for one week of strong feelings I had earlier in my life...
Try to find old films like: Raphael or the Debauched one, Onegin, Splendor in the Grass, War and Peace (only from Bondarchuk), ... soo many exceptional films with 'differentially expressed' love.
Remains my favorite of his many films. It deserves to be viewed on a huge screen.
