My shutoff button stopped working day 3. Anyone else having that issue. Or other issues? Also mine Boggs when throttled out of the box. Needed h jet adjusted i think, was hopping to break it in before adjusting carb but then off button stopped working. Maybe i got a bad one?
Are the chainsaw bar and chain interchangeable? I'm thinking about purchasing a V modest but i would like to put the oregon speed cut nano system if possible. Thank you and great video !!!
The clutch pack, spur drum, bar and chain are all the same for these two saws and the original Echo. All interchangeable. You could put the nano on just the same. In fact I have a customer that did it already and he loves that setup on his.
Echo carb will fit but may be a little hard to tune due to cylinder differences. They work very well on ported cylinders. The air filter will fit if you also change the mounting plate. Engine parts will not interchange. Echo = closed port, V-Mod = open port cylinder.
Tried a few. Most don't. I think the clutch is the only thing that does so far but I haven't tried anything but what I show in this video. It's like everything is tweaked just enough to not fit.
@@colebarnett199 well rats. There is a couple things you could try in order to nail down the source a little more if you want to. The first would be to run it enough to get it nice and warm, a dozen cuts or so, then dump whatever oil is left in the tank and let it sit with the cap back on. If the puddle is much smaller then we can assume it’s originating from the tank and not just accumulated oil in the clutch area. Next would be to do it again but leave the cap off or loose so no pressure can build up in the tank from the heat. If the puddle goes to near nothing then I would assume a leak prior to the pump. At least then you have an idea of where to look closer and go from there. The other route is of course, return it for a refund or replacement. Replacement may be close to the end of the month though. Their stock was real low a couple days ago and the next batch doesn’t land until the 20th. It will take a few days for import stuff and getting them sent out.
do you think handles and bar brake are interchangeable? guy just gave me a cs2511t he ran it over broke few parts looks like it would be cheaper just buy clone or clone parts
@@sonofsteve566 I'm sorry it took so long to get back with you. The V-Modest starter almost fits the Echo 2511 but not quite. It fits on ok but the screw holes are just a tiny bit off. If you drilled the holes out a little bit on the V-Modest starter it would probably fit. I can't say for sure because I tried it with one from a new saw and I don't want to mess it up.
@@sonofsteve566 It would function but they are different where they meet up with the cover. The OEM fits down in the cover where the V-Mod fits over a little stub. It would look a little odd is all.

@@chachi2481 I will pull one apart this afternoon and have a close look to see if there is something that can be tweaked inside. I'm thinking maybe just slightly bending the two metal paddles on the flywheel may help with engagement.

Have tried to swap echo filter to v modest or other parts for compatibly?

Just bought one last week and it is leaking oil everywhere. Had it apart three times to figure out what’s going on and no dice.
It’s possible this might help. Not saying for sure but maybe.

I didn’t put the screws in when I made the comparison but the starter did seem to fit. If I get a chance tomorrow I will have another look.

Is it a clamshell or not?
They are not. The cylinder bolts to the crank case with 4 Allen bolts then that assembly bolts into the saw chassis.
