To avoid bait and switch how can you determine what you paid for was installed on your windows? Is there a test you can do ?are there any clues to know you actually have it on your windows? I'm only asking because it's so difficult to trust anybody for anything these days.

ask to see the roll at install I guess. No test I know of. If they are reputable there should be no worries.
get a warranty card with the lot number for the box as well
I got to witness my installed tint using Rayno. Nano Carbon Ceramic Tint in Corpus Christi, Texas.
I've had a shady installer upsell me to the good time years so and it faded in 2 years. He was out of business by then
