I use the HF rock tumblers for polishing home made buckshot. They work well.
I think ICON had a screw driver set too and I want to say it got pulled sometime around the ICON ratchets we're getting pulled for binding. Don't quote me on it but I thinks that's what happened. However that's a long time to come out with a replacement so I could very well be wrong.
Icon screwdriver set, no strike no care LOL
Icon had a screw driver set it was same price. The new screw drivers have a " anticam out" design on the tips.
Oh ok good to know I'm not going crazy lol
The Gordon Multi-Tool is directly compared to the Leatherman Wave at three times the price. For this price, it seems OK, but I like the Multi-Tools at Menard's or even Walmart at this same forty-dollar price point.
Edit: I know that they have the Doyle Screwdriver set that I had looked at before. I've seen the Quinn set as well. I hadn't actually noticed if they had an Icon set before,
Right off the bat disses the double tumbler. Do you know how bad this world needs good quality tumblers and barrels at a decent cost?
Lol I'm not dissing it. I'm just saying I don't need one or have any experience with them 👍
When HF puts stuff in the new tools but its stuff they already had, its because they're changing suppliers and thus the SKU is changing. Other than that, they're the same.
OK I figured it had to be something like that. Just like when the switched snap ring pliers and many other items. I should have thought of that lol
I think youre missing it looking passed that Gordon multitool! Its got all the multitool ppl making reviews lol.
Lol nothing wrong with that. Hey if it turns out to be a reliable tool then that's going to be a great buy!!
Who would pay that much money or more for screw drivers get a set of craftsman for $20 they do the same shit
The Gordon multi tool has been well reviewed as an improved Leatherman. I attempted to buy it over the weekend but the three stores in my area didn’t have it yet.
That's what I have been hearing from viewers. Hopefully with time it holds up well. That could be a great buy
I picked up one over the weekend. They didn’t even know that they had it in stock. They found a box of them in the stock room.
HF is selling the battery kit with a free cordless tool for $99...
I picked up the Gordon multi tool today, less 20%. The quality is extremely high and I feel it is on the level of the LM Wave. I'll be using it as an EDC to see how it holds up
Nice. Let me know hownit holds up
I also bought this based on a review on RUclips that compared it directly to the Leatherman Wave but with some upgrades.
I also bought it yesterday with the 20% ITC coupon after watching a RUclips review on it. So new they didn’t know they even had it, had to find it in the back. Looks like a quality piece of work and for a 1/3 of the price.
ive had that icon 8 piece set for 3 years i think they just updated the tips
Looked like the vessel tips
Are the old ones magnetic tipped?
@@fakenamejones4254 yes
Still waiting for more icon pliers that were supposed to be released earlier this year
They just revamped the screwdriver set and replaced the old ones with these
OK that's what I was thinking
Hello again, Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I can't speak for most of tonight's video. The anti-slip screwdrivers I have experience with the Popular Mechanics Screwdrivers with the Anti-Slip features. That helps a lot of with screws that are cam out. I brought mine in the early 2000's. The bolster feature looks helpful. My set doesn't have that. Having said that, I have to add it doesn't completely eliminate drilling out the screw. It's one more option. 😊
Thank you. And ya it is a great feature. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts as well
Thanks for letting me know about that cap kit. I’m kind of OCD and like to put caps on my air tool fittings. Lotta dust in my shop I really don’t want in there.
That's very good thinking! Glad you enjoyed.
Yes I think you are right, I think it was an 6 piece set originally.
OK awesome lol. I swear I felt like I was losing my mind
It was 8 piece, it had the stubbys. Ive had it for at least 2 years. They've modified the tips on the new ones.
Didn't really need to know about the short shorts dude. 🤣 Good video.
😂
Lmao 🤣 just figured it was a nice tid bit to know
from what i know this icon set isint new i have 3 of the sets from 3 years ago
Is it the same size set. Did you notice any difference from this set to yours
@@TonyTheTechnician to my knowledge its the same set but like you said they could have changed the makeup of the steel or manufacturing process ill have to see in the future
I’d rather buy some shorts instead of those harbor freight tools
Then don't
Especially if they’re short shorts.😜
Lmao 🤣
@@brycekdk3178I can buy the shorts if I want to kid
@@diemman70men don’t wear short shorts
