I am a 67 year young woman who started woodworking a couple years ago and buy lots of things at HF. If I were going to be living where I have my shop for many years, I would certainly buy the purple tool chests. Unfortunately, senior housing doesn't usually allow people to bring their shops. 😄😄
The store on Walnut Ave in Dalton, GA is in what used to be a regional department store---half of the building is warehouse space or unused. The last time I was in the store, they had PLENTY of room to enlarge the merchandise they carry in stock. I call Harbor Freight "Toys-R-Us for Adults!"

Harbor freight really is impressive nowadays. I'm a full time mechanic and I've been using that 6 drawer service cart for almost 2 years, about to pull the trigger on a 56" Series 3 w a hutch! Glad to see more and more good things coming from HF!
My coworker just got a new snap on box, maybe 72ish in, for $8000, making payments. How stupid. And was supposedly originally 16k. He got some money off due to cosmetic damage. Same us general box is probably less than 1/4 the price. Snap on box cost more than his car! 🙈
@@connor3288 Ive got a coworker who makes $14 an hour as a lube tech, and he owes $150 a week to the matco guy for a Matco 4s box. I cant imagine half of my paycheck going to the tool truck.
I remember 25 years ago when HF would come to town twice a year. They have become the go to tool store for me and have done so just in time when other places like Sears are gone. The products and tool box options are impressive.
Its nice to see that harbor freight is moving towards the heavy duty side as well. Especially with the reIease of their 3/4 drive torque wrench and their U-jount puller in the Icon line. Personally, I would really like to see a heavy duty yoke puller in the Icon line sometime soon.
I bought a ujoint puller two weeks before they dropped it, in person it feels just as good as my otc. I’m hoping for a brake anchor pin press and yoke puller aswell
Great video guys. Here is some things that Harbor Freight needs to come out with or improve. Hopefully the right Harbor Freight people read this and do something about it. 6" long reach Torx sockets. They have them in Allen, but not torx. I had to buy another brand, because I needed them. I bought the Hercules 3/8 12v ratchet, and wish it had more torque. I have the old Earthquake one, and it seems to have more torque than the Hercules. I wish I hadn't spent the money on this one. I use the Flexzilla hybrid air hose and love them. I bought 2 Merlin hose reels, and the black rubber hoses that came in them were garbage. They were sticky and turned my hands black from using them, right from brand new. I then bought the Merlin hybrid hoses to put on the reels, and they are better, but do not come close to the flexibility of a flexzilla hose. Make single wrenches and sockets available for purchase. People do loose stuff, and you shouldn't have to buy another complete set. This would help in the case of some sets that skip sizes. If they don't have the shelf space, make it so they can be ordered into their local store. Does Harbor Freight have a place for customers to send comments and ideas, where they will actually be read?
Yes they need single sockets and wrenches for sure. It would make it easier on them too for warranty purposes instead of them getting one out of a new set.
next step is to have some harbor freight tool trucks. thatd be a freaking killer. love how harbor freight really listens and goes above and beyond to customers request. Thanks for this amazing video.

I'm sold on the trailer, I'll be picking it up (along with both accessory kits) as soon as it's all released. This is a minor thing, but I wish the basic kit included a tongue jack, just so I don't have to wait weeks or months for the correct jack to be available at my local HF stores. Excellent coverage - Thanks!!
That’s seems silly you can get a nice much stronger 3500lb capacity trailer for a few hundred more and it’s actually welded together with a full width ramp gate
It looks like a good light duty trailer, and it's late to the game for me. Now, on "Why would someone" get that vs 3500 heavier duty trailer. If you are towing it often but not needing that capacity, one wasting money on fuel for one. Second is tires wear and cost of replacing them. My heavy-duty trailer in 1.5 years of use, I've worn out the tires a good bit of the wear is due to not being loaded heavy enough for the tires to get even wearing. I don't even want to think about the extra fuel expenses. A 1200-2000 lbs capacity trailer has less drag, especially if it's only loaded to half capacity. Just towing my heavy-duty trailer is a 4-6 mpg hit, and I've been towing it over 30000 miles in last year.
@@DB-yj3qc Exactly! I've been using my old "piece of junk" Harbor Freight trailer for more than 20 years now and it has worked great for me, but it's finally done all it can do and needs to be replaced. BTW I paid $495 for it when I bought it, and other than regular maintenance, I've had to do very little work on it. That's why I just laugh at people that say HF trailers are a "piece of junk"! Why spend more money when a quality light-duty trailer is all I need?
The biggest gripe I have about Harbor Freight is store layout and organization. When you're either looking at a certain line of tools or a category of tools, it seems they're just randomly placed throughout the store and it's like a treasure hunt. Even the employees have a hard time finding them sometimes.
i agree with that. like their bauer battery tools and battery packs are in 5 or 6 locations instead all in same place. maybe they hope you will see and buy more while hunting. thats why walmart puts the milk in the back and started moving pharmacy to the back.
Agree in that I can rairly find what I'm looking for. Any chance of doing like Lowes and Home Depot, in you download thier app to your cell phone then do a search of what your looking for and it comes back with what row and bay you can find your item at.
It's crazy to see how far they have come with making decent quality tools in the past 20 years. They really stepped up to fill that void created by the fall of craftsman and then some. I like seeing them creeping into those niche market tooling even though I'm no longer in the business.
I am very impressed with the Hercules line. Having said that, I have everything that Bauer makes, corded and cordless. I have over 20 Bauer batteries and two Bauer double-chargers. I can't imagine the expense of trying to upgrade to the Hercules line bit by bit unless I could use my Bauer batteries with the Hercules tools. Harbor Freight needs to make converters to use the Hercules line of batteries on the Bauer tools, and vice-versa. I love the new 8-amp Bauer batteries and have 6 of them. I am sure they would perform very well with the Hercules tools if the right converter was made. So, for now, I can only admire the Hercules line from a distance and wish that there were a way I could afford to slowly make the change-over.
I've been impressed with the Bauer line of cordless tools so far too. The 3/8 Bauer impact I've got actually outperformed a top name brand 1/2 cordless impact. The next time I was at H.F. I bought the 1/2 drive one.
I am in the same boat, I have pretty much everything Bauer. When I first got into it, I didn't really know the differences between the three brands, I just heard Bauer was good so I bought that. Now that I know what I know, if I could go back I probably would've got the entire Hercules line. But for now I'll stick with Bauer, because like you said, it would cost way too much to replace everything. I've never had any issues with my Bauer tools and they've been able to handle everything I've thrown at them, but Hercules is definitely slightly higher quality and has higher specs on most tools. The biggest thing for me though is the fact that you can get way larger batteries for the cordless Hercules tools. At least Bauer has the 8Ah batteries now, I already picked up a few of those.
HF needs to add on more shop machinery. Such as the floor model drum sanders, planer/joiners, molders. Give Grizzly and Northern Tools a run for their money.
On the ratchets...I'm the opposite. I buy their flex head ratchets because they are one of very few readily available mfgs that make non-locking. (Tool truck brands excluded) Seems like everyone makes locking or at least ones with detent stopping points for the flex head.
Years ago you wouldn't catch me near hf for anything less than a throw away paint spray rig I used for one job.... now I have a shop full of hp tools and gadgets watching the emails for new things to be on sale so I can get it before there gone 😅 love me some hf!! I'm eyeing that new trailer and welding fixture table. Yeah those will be mine very very soon. I'm thinking at least 4 of the welding table kits for start.
I like the pliers line up. I have a couple and impressed so far on the overall quality, also the handles feel great. The socket sets in the case with foam inserts looks like a winner to me. I’d like to see those come out in 1/2” drive as well
I love my Hercules brand impact and electric ratchet. I charged both batteries over a year and a half ago and with my here and there basic work with them they are still charged and work great. Really goes to show the quality of the tools they produce. And with all my other tools I’ll buy harbor freight first if possible and if I break it twice (which isn’t very common for me) I’ll replace with a bigger brand name like Snap-On.
I love how HF actually listens to their customers. That said..... Could they PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE offer individual ICON wrenches and sockets?? Buying a wrench set is nice, but if the biggest one in the set is 1-inch, and you would like to have 1-1/16" , 1-1/8"..... etc. Then you are pretty much out of luck. Great video!! 👍
Have to agree on this one. I would love to see the individuals in the bigger sizes or the skip sizes. Really needed them this past weekend, needed a 30mm wrench and socket. Checked with harbor freight first and unfortunately was unable to get either without buying a whole set of large wrenches or sockets
@@1SDMike87 yes, but you would have to use a air pressure regulator. The kind of regulator that has the gauge on it so you could dial/adjust the psi down to the specs. The psi specs will be in the papers that come with the air brush
That’s my one complaint sometimes I just want to buy a single wrench or socket if I’ve lost something. I realize theft would be a problem with individual wrenches and sockets but other retailers seem to be fine selling individuals.
I've bought stuff from HF since they used to come around and stay a few days with a semi trailer. Those were some sketchy products. Now they have stepped up their game and we have a choice like you show here. I am one who recently purchased the band saw stand and it is unbeatable for the price and way better quality than I was expecting. Hope they stay in business for the rest of my life for sure.
Those new pliers are going to change the game, unfortunately I already purchased the snap on slip joint long nose pliers but it’s nice to see they are releasing similar ones for an affordable price!
I got both sizes of the snap ons and will still get these with a coupon if I can. Not even professional but I would love to have these in the car for use on the go.
I'm sure the quality of the steel and tolerances aren't going to be as good and tight as snap on and knipex but for people that can't afford those brands it's a good compromise
Man, I have used harbor freight tools for years, but now they are getting some really cool tools, which makes me want to buy all new ones. Maybe they should do a tool exchange deal! 😅
I'm a harbor freight fan for sure, been using tools from them for over 10+ years and never had any issues. So definitely looking into some of there new stuff!!
The best part is when people diss your tools and then realize yours are better than theirs. I helped my buddy install a wall mount for his TV and his DeWalt drill could barely manage to get the bolts into the wood studs. To be fair, he only had small batteries for it, but it was still funny. I kept telling him to buy Bauer tools but he went yellow instead and seems to regret it after that.
Great video! I never had this thought before--but I do NOW--to be looking forward to going to Harbor Freight to check out their high end tools! I am so glad that they've chosen to partner with their customers and improve everything in the best ways possible. I don't know of any other company which has done that to the degree that Harbor Freight has. Here's an unsolicited T-shirt idea: It's my own creation, and I'm granting all rights to it royalty-free, to any and all parties, in perpetuity. There is no licensing required. Harbor Freight is GREAT! I think that a patriotic theme with Red/White/Blue colors would compliment it well. 👍 Go team!!
Really like those impact tools. Predator generators have pretty decent reviews, couple quirks I have read about, but those linger around maintenence of machine.
I have a Ridgid impact that has the auto mode and it's great. When tightening a bolt as soon as it starts using impact it stops. It'll use the impact 3 to 4 times and then stops it definitely makes sure you don't over tighten or strip anything.
i remembered when harbor freight came to town and it was just the man i need one tool i’ll use one time now i go in there for everything and i was a die hard craftsman guy
That's because there is no Sears/Craftsman now. I'm just afraid that HF will forget their roots, like McDonalds has. Now their food is the same but far more expensive...
Really liking this new stuff, that welding table is super impressive I don’t have a large area to work in so I love the size of it, and always like seeing new spray guns
Well we all don't need the top tools! I have a 72" cabinet with a 52" on the top and it's the best tool chest I've owned. Many Harbor Freight tools have gotten me out of trouble. Thx for listening to us.
I've been shopping HF since they had truck/trailer parking lot sales in random towns, and you'd get the color newspaper flyer before the weekend. They've obviously come along way, and I'm afraid to go back and add up receipts from over the years, rebuilding new workshops from scratch several times in my life.
I purchased a Bauer impact driver around 3yrs ago i am a mechanic i use it daily with a 3/8 socket bit works great last all day no issues when it stops working i mite try the Hercules
Thanks for sharing, there's a lot of great new tools & stuff coming out. I've been buying Harbor Freight tools since 1997 down here in San Antonio, Texas. Harbor Freight has saved me a lot of money over the last 26yrs. 👍👍
As I write this, I’m down to just the snap on truck at my shop. The rest have gone out of business. snap on is great, but way too expensive these days. I have turned to the icon line of tools and have been very impressed. I abuse them every day and they haven’t let me down yet!
My wife is a manager for our Harbor Freight . She'd been talking about the new boxes coming in, I think that "Plum Crazy" type purple is fantastic 💜 (I'm a looooong time mopar fan) and I may have to find a reason for more boxes. 😆 The improvements HF has made in general in their tool lines over the last ten years has been leaps and bounds. The owner, Eric Schmidt, has always been customer oriented ever since he and his dad started the company out of their garage so many years ago. They now have their own manufacturing facilities for all of their tool lines and when you compare price vs. quality in apples to apples terms with the "big boys," they definitely provide a great value. No, they're not always right at the top level as some of their major name competitors (the price reflects this) but, in many areas their tools are as good as and sometimes better, price aside in many cases. I worked as an ASE tech for decades (that's how I met my wife) and she SAS me throw many HF hand tools at full velocity across my shop, cussing and in many cases ending up with the name brand. Those days are gone with the advent of the Icon and other options which are much more professional user oriented. There's always going to be some exceptions and the "other guys" are going to have the answer but, compared to 20yrs ago... There is no comparison.
I got that welding table the second I saw it was out. Perfect for my small home projects, I have already used this table multiple times. I only wanted and needed it as a table top since I have a large sold steel welding table I put it on so I turned the stand into a fish tank stand for my 35 gallon tank.
As an Electrician I'm team yellow all together AKA DeWalt but in a pinch if I need a power tool from harbor freight I would buy one being that they stepped up their game a little bit
The only Harbor Freight tool I ever returned was a cut off tool. It worked too good. I couldn't even put it in my vice, it shook my whole work bench. And I definitely couldn't hold it in my hand. Also, I think it's worth noting, I bought a 21 gallon compressor 14 years ago. It gets used daily at my shop. I only changed the oil in it once. I've been waiting for it to blow up for years so I can justify upgrading it. It's still running strong.
I have a big kalimazoo horizontal bandsaw in my shop. My father in law gave me a HF portable bandsaw and although I was appreciative, I didn't really know what I was going to do with it. And that little thing gets used for everything
Damn everyday I'm loving HF more and more! They've become my go to Tool store. I no longer go to Lowe's and rarely buy at Home Depot. The only thing I get at HD are Milwaukee power tools and even there, they're beginning to fall off. I've noticed they don't have the latest Milwaukee models so I might begin shopping online for those. Been looking at getting a Husky 51in toolbox cause they're wider and allow for more storage than the HF. Will see how the new ones compare ones these come out. Could care less about the color, looking for quality and sturdiness. LOVE the trailer & the purple jack!!!
If I remover right he’s said it way back that he doesn’t want to put her in videos and she doesn’t want to do videos either. The videos are his thing she does her thing

@@lParohlx I would not want a full width ramp. Big sail out back.
That keeps you moving thru out the store and hopefully pick up something that you ran across while looking for what you actually came in for.
Exactly I have been dealing with that same issue for years.
Their focus is boosting impulse sales not making finding what you came for easy.
The bauer, Hercules, & dewalt batteries are basically the same footprint & couple mods will work with each other, or Amazon sells premade adapters
Back in the early 2000's Harbor Freight sold a slide top cart, I'd like to see one of those. Also a locking flex head ratchet.
On the ratchets...I'm the opposite. I buy their flex head ratchets because they are one of very few readily available mfgs that make non-locking. (Tool truck brands excluded) Seems like everyone makes locking or at least ones with detent stopping points for the flex head.
It's always a good day when ryno post a video 🇺🇸
I’d like to see those come out in 1/2” drive as well
I can't find those sets even mentioned online
I love my Hercules brand impact and electric ratchet. I charged both batteries over a year and a half ago and with my here and there basic work with them they are still charged and work great. Really goes to show the quality of the tools they produce. And with all my other tools I’ll buy harbor freight first if possible and if I break it twice (which isn’t very common for me) I’ll replace with a bigger brand name like Snap-On.
yup me 2 that purpel t box asummm
That trailer is a game changer. Perfect for light weight hauling. Motorcycle, ATV, construction supplies.
Can the air brushes be connected to the larger 20+ gallon Fortress compressors?
@@1SDMike87 yes, but you would have to use a air pressure regulator. The kind of regulator that has the gauge on it so you could dial/adjust the psi down to the specs. The psi specs will be in the papers that come with the air brush
That’s my one complaint sometimes I just want to buy a single wrench or socket if I’ve lost something. I realize theft would be a problem with individual wrenches and sockets but other retailers seem to be fine selling individuals.
What they need to do is mass produce (more than usual) 10mm sockets, in both impact and non-impact variants. Mechanics everywhere will buy them out.
We need the off-road jack in that purple flake! 😂
Wow I'm impressed with those tools. They are really competitive with the big boys, Milwaukee ,DeWalt and Rigid. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I'm a tool addict. Low price, more tools. Way to go Harbor Freight!
Love Harbor Freight, best tool store in America!!!
Those new pliers are going to change the game, unfortunately I already purchased the snap on slip joint long nose pliers but it’s nice to see they are releasing similar ones for an affordable price!
Same here but I am going to buy a pair to keep in my to go bag and keep the snap on at home
Just bought the snap on ones a couple weeks ago lol. Oh well. Might pick up a set of icon ones for home
@@jasonstorie8740I'm gonna find out
Man, I have used harbor freight tools for years, but now they are getting some really cool tools, which makes me want to buy all new ones.
Harbor Freight
is
GREAT!
I think that a patriotic theme with Red/White/Blue colors would compliment it well. 👍
Go team!!
The clone of the knipex twin grips will be a great seller. That design is awesome
Harbor Freight is changing & revolutionizing the entire industry for all kinds of builders! The future looks great! 🌄👍💗🌌
I have those Dollie’s with the stands. They work great! I move one of my cars around my large garage with ease!
Really like those impact tools. Predator generators have pretty decent reviews, couple quirks I have read about, but those linger around maintenence of machine.
I love the Harbor Freight step up, but I would like to see one Battery type for all of their cordless tools.
I guess one battery type is too much to ask. Must be where all the profit is.
Big difference in the warranty between Bauer and Hercules batteries. It would be nice if they made adapters for Hercules battery to Bauer tools
The Hercules batteries make Bauer look like 20 year old ni-cad. The brushless motors in Hercules tools are night and day better too.
I’m into woodworking and some home rehab projects. Nail guns, air compressors, saws all types, clamps, routers, etc.
great video 😊
I’ll bet those purple boxes will be purchased by Mopar fans, plum crazy purple is a hot color on cars! 5:15
Job site tools and hardware is my go to. That ban saw attachment is bad ass. As an on the road tech in all about portability and compact tools.
I’m in the UK and we don’t have harbour freight stores.. if we did I’d be buying so much stuff!!
I believe due to export issues, they sell in the US only.
@@DMAXRYNO yeah…😏 here in the UK quality tools are expensive!! I’m a contractor, if we did have a harbour freight I’d be like a kid in a candy shop!!
Imma need that 3 position slip joint needle nose pliers ASAP!
I love the tool trucks but the quality and prices are phenomenal on the new tools. The Baxter tools have saved my bacon on a few jobs
I’m still waiting for that larger version of the mini flex head bit set!
My wife is a manager for our Harbor Freight . She'd been talking about the new boxes coming in, I think that "Plum Crazy" type purple is fantastic 💜 (I'm a looooong time mopar fan) and I may have to find a reason for more boxes. 😆
The improvements HF has made in general in their tool lines over the last ten years has been leaps and bounds.
That new plier line is reminiscent of Knipex and Snap On
I think that’s the point lol cheap clones
Exicted to see that Harbor Freight is stepping up their game with some good items. I am a HB fan.
Tell those guys they need to come up with a kit for the new lock mechanism to upgrade the old US general boxes with the single latch
Harbor freight is the best bang for the buck tools!!! Gotta love how far they have came!!!
The roll the out row in the background got me😂
I got a new 56” series 3 roller and top box in grey over Christmas, I love it. Looks amazing in my garage.
HF, for low end, easy use tools, the casual home diy tools!
As an Electrician I'm team yellow all together AKA DeWalt but in a pinch if I need a power tool from harbor freight I would buy one being that they stepped up their game a little bit
Also make all the tools in one of the lines match your toolbox colors with foam inserts we would all buy it
This video is awesome. I have a general tool cart that I bought from my dad’s cousin years ago and it’s still going strong.
Im glad to see the upgrades to the jack stands the one i bought were recalled i believe, which sketches me out
Nothin wrong with cool colored tools! Good info, good video
I have a big kalimazoo horizontal bandsaw in my shop. My father in law gave me a HF portable bandsaw and although I was appreciative, I didn't really know what I was going to do with it. And that little thing gets used for everything
Great tour of the Harbor Freight tools ! 👍
Great video! Harbor Freight is awesome!
No other store for no reason that I am more amped to go through than Harbor Freight!
Soo awesome Ryan, thank you for the upgrades with Harbor Freight
I was liking the new Icon bits and pieces.......then you dropped the new upgraded, compact bench driver set 😮 I gotta have it! I can't wait
Dude Harbor Freight is awesome... Im there toooo much lol
I used to hate HF products, but now I love their products.
Harbor freight is killing it!
Glad to see your girl made the thumbnail
Not my girl, that’s my friend Athena
If I remover right he’s said it way back that he doesn’t want to put her in videos and she doesn’t want to do videos either. The videos are his thing she does her thing
