When you think about it the minikit should have always won gift of the day because it’s the most accurate Lego build we’ve ever seen, so a much deserved first place and happy to see Star Wars start to climb to the top
I love Spider-Man, my favourite superhero and was so excited for the calendar. It has been pretty poor so far, more a New York Calendar than a Spider-Man one. Hugely missed opportunity they could have done so much more with the same amount of Lego bricks
Jeremy, I really appreciate your new format of not repeating the set numbers at the start of every video. It is much more interesting how you just do a quick recap and then get straight in to it. I always enjoy your Advent Calendar series every year but wish you would do some more reviews throughout the year.

Ahh, the good ol' minikit from the Lego Star Wars games! After it was revealed, I had absolute confidence that it would win the gift of the day. Also, I really love the jokes you keep on making about Lego *Fiends*. It makes me want to be crazy enough to go back and save every video mentioning the Heartlake City Mafia into one giant playlist.
Although today’s gifts may not be top tier in terms of builds, you have to appreciate some of the elements and part usage that each of the builds had to offer today. Glad to see Star Wars coming on top today with the mini kit!
That cat was no Diabeto. 😂😂😂 Free Diabeto from the heartlake city mafia’s basement! You were very generous today with Spiderman. 😬 Moana’s boat was better than Spiderdude and HP’s house confused statue.
Mona's canoe is sweet. I like a girl with a boat. Door 7 for City had me thinking Cat with a dust buster that looks like a fish. I'm reaching. If they can get the tiny shells on Ariel, they could spray paint a cardy on a kitty. The fish is meh but, oh well. Mini kit took me out of this world, Star Wars, thank you! Oh look! Another corner from NY. This time a fire hydrant. Gee, just what a spider needs and reaching with the red and green elements. Was City's gift worse than your dwarf stab? Nope. The fiends have a desk! The pen spoke curling iron to me at first..actually it still does. Come on Potter...I'm cheering and then I looked up and deflated. Griffin? Hypogriff sounds great but either way, why would it go on top of the Slytherin house pedistool? Hopefully more of this shall be revealed in days to come. I paused the replay of the video and set a little prayer for you Jeremy before the judging. Mona's boat does look cute with her on it. The nostalgic move by Star Wars is brilliant! Well played by the light side of the Force.
I remember back in the day I used to play lego star wars the complete saga all the time. I may not have grided for many minikits, but I sure do recognize them.
The HP statues are definitely the house animals with wings, exactly like the ones in the Great Hall in the movies. So this one was a snake with wings, and the first statue was a lion with wings. And I realize that this was probably just a joke. I’m saying it anyways in case it wasn’t.
@ Alright. I remember minor details like that because I’ve made model kits of a few locations, including the Great Hall. I’m just a little obsessed with HP.
Sadly I think that the HP calendar should have been last the time. At least the cat should have rated more points. Anyway. Loved the video and I am looking forward to you next video. Have a great Friday and good weekend. Even though you have to work.
Wow, today's calendar day was a dud all around! Not one mini figure, festive animal, or seemingly useful build... except that kit you were raving about. Though my vote for the most festive, if that could even be awarded today, would have been towards the Friends set because a desk with a list with check marks on it really does feel in tune with the holiday season, dontcha think?
Thank you Jeremy, this series is the best, I look forward to every episode and it’s always a highlight of my holiday season! Oh it was a minikit? I haven't played a LEGO Star Wars game for a long time so I am not familiar with them... I thought "What is this - I bet it only gets 1 point...." - I thought it was a refueling rig for the X-Wing or Y-Wing!
The boat should have defiantly beaten out the statue from HP, it is a much more interesting item than a very similar house statue you will get 4 variants in.
@@albundy9918 I think it could have gone either way, because in the same way snow isn't necessarily festive, a red flower with green leaves isn't necessarily holly and festive either. If jeremy had picked up on the snow on the ground, he could have chosen that

Opening the Star Wars AC, my first thought was "What is that?". Then, there was the feeling of dread that if you do not recognize the build, it is never a good sign. I honestly wondered if it was some droid in the background of a Hoth scene that appears onscreen for about a second. I had to come here to see what it really is, and can agree it makes sense as a build. There will naturally be some of us who were in our Dark Ages when the game was out. The other builds were really uninspiring. My son was quite disappointed with the City AC. It was neither a minifig nor a build and that is never a good thing.
My rankings for today: 1. Disney 2. Star Wars 3. Friends 4. Spiderman 5. City 6. Harry Potter The statue really does deserve last place if no one can figure out what it is a statue of.
Lego Headquarters Let’s make house statues. Nope they just don’t work. Let’s just put them in anyway. As an avid HP purchaser (thanks for that Jeremy - your reviews over the last 5 years made me want to buy everrrything) even though the theme has improved greatly, sadly some things are just awful. We’ve just had buckbeak, a very average advent (except for great day minifigs lol), and now they’ve ruined hagrids motorcycle. Doh!
Glad HP is remaining first though I don't quite think that statue deserved it's place. I'm kinda thinking it's a snake but maybe only because I expect one from slitherin? Sure, the City gift was lazy but I would have putten it over the statue just for having an animal piece. Though I gotta admit the competition wasn't too strong today where a generic traffic lamp could become second 😅 I was kinda expecting a deduction of 1 point from each calendar for not having anything festive (like you did once last year), but I guess the leaf that could be interpreted as a holly is worthy of that bonus point! Looking forward to see what's behind tomorrow's doors!
Maybe someday I'll be able to get the Spider-Man advent calendar and I predict the possibility of a DC Comics one being added next year, but they'd better not have a Fortnite one 'cause we don't need Ashnflash being creepy about it like he is with everything else relating to the game and he has a serious problem. Let's see how long it takes Ashens to upload part 7 of his 2024 advent calendar series today, he and NerdCubed really would make a cute couple. Maybe someday one if my comments will finally show up in a video, but highly doubtful.
The minikit was very festive with the red and green lights. Happy the Moana kit got an extra point though, I would have put it higher. Boring as heck, but at least it does what it's meant to well, and should help with the overall scene at the end of advent. 4 points - City. I like the kitten, it's not all that common, having appeared in 6 other sets (including last years City calendar, it must be said). The fish actually spoils it for me. 3 points - Friends. I don't mind the desk, it looks reasonably pretty enough, but there's really nothing to it. 2 points - Star Wars. Sorry, Star Wars fans, I don't have that same nostalgia! I've never played the game, and so had absolutely no idea what it was. 1 point - Harry Potter. Well, the good news I guess is that we know there's only two more of these things to go?! Festive Bonus Point - Marvel. On the basis that the white plate makes it look like the street has snow on it. Yeah, a very, very weak choice today! Scores - City 33, Disney 28, Friends 25, Star Wars 23, Harry Potter 23, Marvel 22.
I think it is the Ravenclaw statue. But this far, he has the Slytherin tile and base and not the Ravenclaw one, so Jeremy put the statue atop the Slytherin base.
