Mk1 did boost up Johnny's fame and popularity. But he can never overtake Scorpion(Hanzo Hasashi). Sub Zero is the fan favourite along with Scorpion. Scorpion is the crown, the heart, soul, icon and the spear of the entire Mortal Kombat. People recognized Mortal Kombat mostly because of the GET OVER HERE and the epic rivalry(in the entire gaming franchise) between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. That is just too much and that is definitely not facts. That is only just an opinion. But yeah, Johnny Cage is definitely way better than the current Scorpion. Kuai Liang as Sub-Zero is better. I liked Noob Saibot too. But it feels fresh to see Bi-Han back as the ice cold. I miss the OG Scorpion(Hanzo Hasashi). They gave the current Scorpion the iconic line of Hanzo. He doesn't deserve it nor does the voice fit him. He doesn't deserve the mantle of Scorpion. He feels like one of those Kombat kids. Now Takeda is coming as a DLC character.
