I watched your video but i do not have a welder. I straighten the deck with a small mall. I then used an old blade and put the carriage bolt through and tighten it up with my impact . works great. It was your video that had me looking for a way to support it. Thanks
I was laughing so hard when you went to drive back into position to mount the deck. I had just done the same yesterday but at first I couldn’t figure out wtf you doin lol. Glad i Found this vid cuz my pulley was angled too. Also glad I didn’t just pound it back flat. Gonna weld up some angle, good thinkin! Also saw in comments & curious how you like the BadBoy? Might get one next mower. Lots of good reviews.
Lol I’ve found that was the best way for me! Haha and the maverick is an awesome machine. I went with bad boy this time because my best friend has had one for 9 years and has changed nothing but the fluids and a battery.
Thanks for the video. I also have the same problem. I just replaced that stupid belt last month and now the deck is warped causing the pulley to bend up. At least I know what the problem is now I have to get some help to get it reinforced.
Glad it helped, bro! I was stumped until I started really looking. Then noticed that weak spot. I love my raptor, but it’s been beat on the past 5-6 years and this was the only real issue I’ve had. That Kohler is tough too.
Good video. Question...Do you know what the metal pan insert which is welded to the deck that the spindle is screwed into. The welds failed on my hustler and I can't find a replacement. Thanks
@BackFortyTV It's the metal pan that the spindle screws into on the deck. The welds on mine failed and the whole thing fell out of the deck...leaving a empty hole where it was . Thanks
Just wondering if this is still working for you? It just happened to me and I'm wanting to know if it's a long-term fix. I noticed that I was still working ten months ago from a comment. So is she still going?
It sure did. Been using the fire out of it since. Haven’t had belt issues since the fix. Only issues I’ve had is I busted the fuel tank, but that was all me.
@@BackFortyTV sick. Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve changed 3 spindles. Must be the reason. Fixed everything still vibrating. I thought it was supposed to be angled lol
I just took it off and knocked the deck where that pulley mounts straight. Just banged it with a hammer until the deck was straight. Then re mounted the pulley and put the braces in.

Yessir! Glad I could help!
Factory fix was/is large thick washer under deck with slightly longer bolt. Worked great for me

I could’ve done a much better job fixing it, but I’m a cheap diy guy with most stuff as long as it’s nothing major LOL.
Hey if it works it works. It doesn't have to be sexy
@@keithduboseoutdoors6872 that’s right!
I didn't realize your channel was about hunting etc.. I just subscribed. I am into the Outdoors video stuff too

I’m not sure I understand.

That is the part in question. I tried to weld it back on but it failed. Thanks

Check your pto clutch bolt mine just snapped off same exact mower that may be causing vibrations as well
I have the same mower and noticed mine was bent the other day. I ordered a new belt but will not install it now until I get it straightened out.
Hope it helps out.

Still kicking strong!
I have a bad boy maverick now, but gave this one to my mom. Still cuts good.
Having the exact same issue. Did this fix the problem long term? If not I am repairing and selling the darn thing.
It sure did. Been using the fire out of it since. Haven’t had belt issues since the fix. Only issues I’ve had is I busted the fuel tank, but that was all me.
Hey did this fix your issue. I’ve got a similar issue I believe (2 belts) later.
It sure did.
I thought mine was supposed to be bent. Okay what we’re the symptoms of the bent pulley? Just a terrible intermittent vibration?
Yes bad vibration and it eats belts.
The vibrating also causes other bearings to go out faster.

@@ColeParkerrr lol I understand. Also check blade balance for vibrations. If they’re beat up and out of balance it’ll cause issues also.
How did you straighten that pulley out???

Having the same problem on Rapter 36.
It’s a pain. I sure hope the video helps.
