- In this video I take a trip out to Tuckingmill skatepark to continue my beginner street mission.
For this one I attempt a ride on 5050 grind onto a flat, double coping bar. This looked easy, but I made a right meal of hopping off the end.

the intro spine slam to the ribs gets me every single time
Awesome. Really enjoying seeing the journey of you landing it.
The way you show the progression of learning something new is good to watch. Glad you nailed it! Brilliant process 👍
Many thanks for tuning in dude !
Awesome John👊👊….50’s on flat rails get a bit emotional 😬😬🤣🤣……well done for nailing it🙏
Everything about this one ❤ hope to see more from Street John in the future
Stairs and handrails 😂
Shredding it as always! Great video
Great work, Jon 👊🏻
Can’t believe your warm up for a boardslide is a ride on 50-50. I’d totally do it the other way round. Nutter 😂
YES JON! Love the pivot into street skating! I'm a mere wipper snapper at the age of 40, and felt like I had kind of plateaued with my transition skating. I decided to learn some street and I've had so much fun. Think this will be a brilliant watch if you channel the determination you've had wth you transition skating into street skating. Street doesn't have to be gnarly either - boardslides, no complys, slappys are your friend :)
Yeah, dude, I really like the feeling of freedom!
Watched with a stupid smile on my face the whole time. Well done.
Oh jeez you're 50 now . Have I been watching this 10 years???
Ha, started the channel when I was 45, many thanks for sticking in there !!
@@JonBishopSkate thank you for sticking in there. Falls an all, your analysis of how to get better at something has been so inspiring.
I'm a simple man. Jon uploads, I watch.
Many thanks for tuning in !!
Total respect Jon 🤜🏻 thanks for the inspiration! Being 47 and getting back into skating after a 35+ hiatus. Watching you has given me hope and confidence to just crack on.
Really good process
Many thanks for tuning in !!
It's really cool seeing you learn this! I've been too scared to touch a rail yet.
Skateboarding is weird sometimes, I saw your fakie carve grind in the deep end earlier, amazing you can pull that one off, yet having a little struggle with a low flat rail, well done anyways🤘
Yeah dude, this type of thing is my nemesis, but I’m determined to become half competent at the basics. Transition stuff seems to make a bit more sense to me!
Sick!!! Love to see the progression!
The mighty tuckingmill!!!! You were only 5 mins down the road from me!!!
👍 It’s a fun spot !!
Nice! I'm getting boardslides down on a single rail but it's too high for me to 5050
Nice j!!! Stoked u nailed it… boardslide feels even better!!
Amazing! This one is always scary
Street Jon! let's go!
Regression into your inner rascal. I love it. I'm having the time of my life doing wizard inline skating (after being a skateboarder for many years in my youth). Nice Andy Anderson board and old wheels, I know I've seen those in the 90s, are those roaches?
Hey dude many thanks for the comment. The Wheels are OG Classic spitfires, so I’d imagine they are reminiscent of an old school profile!
@@JonBishopSkate Spitfires also makes sense. I remember having those wheels with a double-vision board.
hey man still at it !! i might start again !!
Do it !!
Cross lock Jon!
Tried and failed 😂
keep that heel side pinch untill you feel like trying a cross lock nice work man
Thanks for the tip dude !
i can still just about ollie into a board slide on a low rail , but head on 50-50s take's more bottle than i'm willing to risk ,, awesome effort !! are you plannin any euro adventures this year La Nucia surf lagoon opens in december just so ya know !!
Thanks for the info dude! No Euro plans as yet sadly, but you never know !!
