Sometimes Christmas 🌲 sellers will give them away. I ask people I know if they know someone nearby with evergreen trees. Smells amazing! Nice family project! No problem with pests riding in...yet
High temperature's of 22° during the day and 7° at night LOL 😉 ! Another idea is if you by chance have an air compressor apply gentle pressure and blow them off. I would be concerned about certain repellents especially if you plan to display it on a fireplace mantle.
It depends on what you use. The short needle pines will not brown through the entire season. Ivy or other greens will only last a couple of weeks. Misting lightly will give you another few days.
I used to get it at the craft stores. But now I use the regular green floral wire spools as it is all I can find. If you are talking about the thicker interior wire I order it off Amazon . amzn.to/3mGoOyw

It is super easy. It does make you wonder the price of fresh garland. I guess that is the investment of time!

Peppermint is a bug repellent
