I worked in Psychiatry for 10 years. My staff and I would listen to Sade as therapy. Her smooth voice and jazz like sounds really chilled us out. Not only staff, but patients as well. I’m 33 and I’ve been listening to Sade since I was 23. Something’s never change ❤️
I share the same feeling. I remember when I was a kid I heard "smooth operator" for the first time in the 80s and loved the sound but never knew who was the singer until my 20s when I found it was Sade. Since then (or earlier) I became a fan. Then in my late 30s I experienced anxiety episodes for the first time in my life due to heavy loads of stress but I found out that playing my favorite sade's song list really helped me out to control those episodes, no other singer or playlist has this effect on me.

I am a 71 year old woman and been following Sade throughout her career. I even practiced my singing technique through her and Aretha Franklin until I got cancer and couldn’t sing anymore. But Sade has never changed and I hope she does not. She is a gift from God and does ❤not need to change.

I love sade. Before I taught special education I used to teach preschool and sade was my naptime music. Her instrumentals paired with her voice is just so soothing, its the only music that got the kids relaxed and resting so quick. Plus while they slept and I worked on lesson plans I got to listen to what I wanted not cheap lullaby cds. I hope that the kids carried her with them, she makes quality music for any mood.

I had a restless little guy who cud never settle-played him some Sade from my cassette (she had just released single off lovers rock and I recoreded off radio that's how long ago lol) and he went off to slumberland! Had to let his mom know and she said she'd have to at home. We always listened to Oasis smooth jazz at nap but only a loop of Sade could sooth🙌💞

There is no such thing as a bad Sade song. Ever. Love her. I own every record she releases including the live lp. Saw her twice and they're the best concerts I've ever been to. Her career reads like this, drop an album ever 8-10 years, it sells like crazy, go on tour and disappear until the next one. A true artist that doesn't need the constant approval of the masses. Plus with her record deal, one of the smartest in the business, she does not need the hustle of constantly touring...she has the coins.
I remember when I bought love deluxe and, I kid you not, EVERY single track on the album was great. One of the few albums that I could listen to in its entirety.
She might have spent the whole ten years working on it. I think more time spent on a single song makes it get better and better.

Yes, but she doesn't make much music. Or at least, she doesn't release much music. She kind of left the industry in the eighties. Since then, she's only popped up about once per decade. She's alive, but she isn't really a part of the music industry.
The band might've stayed together all these years, but they rarely ever get together and make music. I think, if I remember correctly, that the last time they got together to make an album was the first time they had all been together since their last tour.
KindOfAHag oh yeah in 2011 I believe. I'm not sure if it was her or band mates but they said if they were to spend every waking moment together playing music they probably wouldn't have been together this long. Its great to see that she is still among us though. Hoping for a tour soon!
