If this was an anime the turtle would be having a determined monolgue recalling his growth during training and all the help he got from friends, whereas the rabbit (sic) would be having an existential breakdown
The rabbit would be stopped by the man who killed his entire family (the dog) and then have a breakdown, making the Protagonist who completely ignores it look a bit like a douche in comparison and the bunny into a sympathetic rival
And the race would last 3 episodes

Yes exactly, the rabbit was just hyper aware of it's surrounding and this was causing anxiety attacks. Whereas, the tortoise was just focusing on going from point A to point B. One single goal and don't give a f about all the noises & distractions in the surrounding. Kinda like real life you get more shit done when you focus on a single goal.

@@holliswilliams8426 Oh but that is entirely normal for rabbits, they are extremely fidgety prey animals, when they receive to much sensorial stimulus they can panic like crazy.
Some can even die from that panic attack, obviously, I am talking about the pet ones, wild hares and rabbits have more resistance.

Jeff (Hare) : It was an absolute banger to shoot this video with Sheldon. He looked intense during our shoot , but he is a very chill guy.
Sheldon (Tortoise): um.. it was more like a team effort obviously. Jeff , our directors and all the co-stars work so incredibly well to make the set and they did a lot of hard work to bring the story from a book to the big screen uh...so I am excited for the release.

I love how this competition plays out pretty much exactly like the actual story:
in the beginning the hare is like "lol I will win this easily, I will take a break and chill", and then when it appears to be moving again, it sees that it is already too late, and looks at everyone like "wtf just happened?".
As othet comments pointed out it's more like the rabbit had a panic attack in the middle of the race. Though the hare having a panic attack would make for an interesting spin on the story
